A hero wolf has all positive weather vitals. Which affects battle damage, a hero wolf has increased damage. However if a wolf has a negative vital, they will have decreased damage. This usually happens during a weather adversity that could happen

"We have a new Defect added today! It is: Antebrachial Growth Deformity. This is a deformity in which the lower leg twists and bows. As such, the wolf loses 100 CP in battle and 100 CP in agility"

Some are sought after (mainly pelt defects), some don't have any effect on the wolf, and others have CP penalties.
