and if the mother has less than 30 points in maternal, i do believe it will be only one pup
with 30 points, it's usually 3 pups

"Shouldn't have to go too far into the forest for this one. A rothound has been sneaking past the east fence and stealing Torka's chickens. Yore would rather kill it, but I think it's saliva may be useful to River, they've got some interesting regenerative properties."
Yip put the quest page on the counter for Ocean and smiled, reaching over to pet Sailor
"You'll need some traps from Kansua and maybe some bait from Scout. Rot Hounds can't stay away from fresh Meat. Interested?"
