We would prefer having credits directly on the images as it saves us the search. Having credits in the post is fine however.

Yes, they would still have to credit you as the person who colored the lineart.

Most people aren't familiar with art crediting rules, hence why they buy it instead. They'd expect the artist to know about art credits. If people have requests to change the lineart credits, then it wouldn't hurt to change them.

Credits don't need to be super huge and covering the image, just legibly naming the artist and the source is fine.
