What exactly does it do? And what do the numbers beside each move mean?

I know that it improves battle damage at 275 and 525 BE. But is there any point in getting more than 525 BE?

I thought BE helped with dodging and landing hits, and that's why high BE wolves are so expensive. But I'm kind of in doubt since I've experienced a huge string of recent PVP losses against wolves with much less BE. I have death grip Divine Health wolves and I don't know how I could make them better battlers. All my battle wolves have full battle, agility, and resolve as well. Does BE not matter in PVP past neck snap, or am I just having bad luck?

The highest BE where you level up your wolves skills is at 900
It doesn't help with landing hits you still need a high resolve and battle CP.
But it results in dealing more damage.

Offensive(off) does damage at higher levels it can upgrade the wolf's damage and defensive(def) has a better at making the wolf dodge attacks.

However, they don't help with hitting to dodging alone. Battle will upgrade damage, resolve will make hits land more, and agility helps the wolf dodge more.

Past a certain point, higher BE doesn't make a wolf do greater damage. I know what each CP attribute helps with, I'm wondering what BE does.

The higher offensive helps with accuracy by the number next to it. Higher defensive helps evade by the number next to it.

Also, I meant the some of the higher moves add more damage like body slam.

The only time wolves do extra damage is at 275 and 525 BE. Particular moves don't do extra damage.

The only reason most people go past 525 BE is because they're using that wolf a lot of to get past having to change defensive moves as your wolf no longer learns moves after death grip. Makes exploring faster in the long run.

The max damage a PvP wolf can do is 27, if you're consistently losing then you're just having bad luck

Just to clarify... does BE actually help with accuracy and defense? Or is it just for ease of not having to select a defensive move, like Kodiak said?

From game guide:
Critical Hits Your wolf has a chance of doing a Critical Hit during battle, based on how much battle experience they have. The Critical Hit will result in +15 Damage against NPCs and +10 Damage in PVP.

It doesn't apply after 925 BE
