I have had to start milking Destiny because her lopsided udder is becoming really bad. (One side is shriveled, and the other is engorged.)
It isn't really an issue, as she will continue producing enough in both sides. However, it costs points when you're showing them if they're lopsided. (Plus, I don't like looking at it myself.) She's producing so much, I'm going to have to take a picture of my stock later this afternoon XD
I only milked her twice (Yesterday afternoon and this morning), and I have more than I know what to do with already. Well, I've gotta start making soap to sell sooner than I thought. (Plus I'm keeping a good amount for me and my family to drink/ make into cheese.) :')

Using the milk, make some hot chocolate for my sister! She pouts slightly every time we make hot chocolate because we don't have any goats milk and she has been spoiled with it by going to her friend's XD

I know of a dog who likes goat milk and it causes no problem for dog health unlike cow milk ^^ so maybe give some to the dog if it likes it

Hurry,
I've actually given her some already XD
Just a few spilled drops when I make a mess transfering from the bucket to a jar, but she adores it.
I didn't know that cow milk caused health issues for dogs, though. Luckily I haven't given her any, I guess. XD

Cow milk is not too dangerous ^^""" just, it has more lactose then sheep or goat milk and lactose is what bothers them-they are sort of lactose intolerant like some humans :3
I am not intolerant, but milk can make me feel queasy, that's cause as humans age towards adulthood their bodies make less ensims that dissolve lactose from milk thus there can be some issues with digestion. But I am not sure how that really works cause my grandpa ( 70+) drinks it regulary without a problem XD some other people I know do too, so I dunno why some people can drink milk regulary and some can't. Maybe it's something like alcohol tolerance? If you are regualry exposed to it body adapts?

Oh, I didn't know they had an intolerance, either. XD
I'm lactose intolerant, so I'll be drinking this milk. It'll save money on lactaid (milk that tastes very similar to regular milk but lacks the lactose). :D
I think her babies might be starting to nurse from both sides, so maybe I don't have as much milk on my hands as I thought :')

Photos are really cute :D Phineas doing jump and iris is my favourite
I have a feeling Iris will be very pretty goat <3 her pattern is nice and mix of colors too
And, if I may ask, why do you think kids favour one teat? Thou I think it happens with humans too and I dunno why either-wouldn't it make more sense to switch to fuller one? Maybe they don't percieve it that way cause they are too young.
And do goats ever lack milk like some humans? Or it is quite impossible if breed is specialised for milk gains?

Well, it took them about 12 hours to figure out how to nurse on their own, so I would probably say they favor one side because they don't want to challenge themselves to puzzle out both sides for a bit after they've achieved such a feat.
I didn't know that happened with humans. I would assume it's easier for a human mother to take care of the issue, though, because she can just try to feed the baby evenly on both sides? Goats kinda have no control over which side their baby chooses, I guess. :')
They haven't run dry so far because they seem to be producing more than their babies need, but it might happen as the babies start to get bigger and hit major growth spurts. However, we can milk out the moms and they'll run right back into the pen and feed their babies, so perhaps they have too much for it to run out? I know that, if we weren't milking them, they would never run low. XD
I will have to see if that change, though. I don't think it will. :)
