You follow the sound of the howl eagerly and eventually come to a dimly lit chamber of the cave. A shadowed, four-legged form is standing ahead of you. When you shine the light at it, the wolf shies away but doesn't flee.

You follow the sound and eventually sneak up on a fox den. The little kits are playing under the watchful eye of the mother. Unfortunately, their parent notices you and the whole family flees into the shelter of the den. It seems you ruined someone's lunch because as soon as the fluffy tails vanish, a much larger canine appears on the scene with its nose to the ground.
