i was kinda thinking of making my mermaid a dude - so a merman, i suppose pfft. i'd kinda want him to appear a bit ugly in his human form. like really weird eyes, patches of scales, maybe even little fins purtruding from his face? and then in his underwater form he's like stunning pfft.
