Hypothetically (I doubt the characters would be careless enough to do this but I would still like to know), if she were let loose in order to hunt and eat a human NPC, would she listen when told it's okay to eat that human but not any of the party members?

It depends on if she'll eat in the second stage or the third. If it's in the second stage, she'll kill before she eats (unless she's in the later second stage). If she's in the third stage, she'll eat 'em alive. And it also depends on what the situation is. If there's a rush for her to eat, she won't bother with killing first.

Sadie already knows not to eat anyone in the group. She's smart enough to understand that her chance at survival will drop the moment she devours even a single hunk of flesh from any of them. She knows that she's not able to survive on her own; it's too risky and stressful for her. And she does want to go to Icarus (her whole conscious life has been her being told that her only purpose in life is to be the cure for the zombie parasite; that kinda stuff has been engraved into her head and she sees no other reason to exist) and she knows that she can't exactly get there if the group is extremely wary of her.

Likely not. With a vast majority of them being intrigued by her but not really wanting to do anything with her and her being too socially inept and distrustful to share anything, they probably don't even know that she doesn't even like to eat people. She just doesn't have a choice and her instincts take over. Granted, her moral code has been absolutely desecrated over the time the scientists studied her, but I think that she does have a bit of humanity left to know that cannibalism = big no-no what the fuck. Again, she just can't control it. She's learned to not acknowledge how sick she gets in the stomach after eating, though. |
