Ghazi was totally like, their disgruntled adoptive father that accidentally adopted them (and taught them swordsmanship) after having been part of the gang that killed their family Kiril being the cool uncle that totally spoils the kid and teaches them everything about plants.

Let's be real, most of the members taught them how to ride a horse. Ghazi was definitely overprotective of them and taught them about fighting though. Everything needed for self defense and murder. Along with swordsmanship. He definitely hovered whenever anyone other than him was teaching them horse riding XD
