I honestly don't know what to do for my first post yet. Do you have a setting/location planned for the start of the RP? Also, are there any mutations in the infected? I did do a little research and saw that parasites can rapidly evolve. Or would it be to early for it, or will something like this happen at all? (Please correct me if I am wrong on anything below) I also understand that you have to die to become one of these zombies, but leading up to your death is there any others signs of infection? I mean, you are sick and dying, but behavior wise, like acting erratic or insanely fearful(which are not necessarily suggestions, more of examples). Then if you were bit, on let's say a limb, could it be removed to save the person since it wouldn't have time to spread throughout their blood stream if it was caught in time? Or would they still be infected? I had another questions but my post was deleted so I need to remember it ;-;
I don't think I responded to this, shit—
1. We have a time already, but the place is still... Unknown, pretty much.
2. And, yes, there are mutations in the infected, which is where the "Unranked/Mutated" in the zombie lore list comes from. It's still a bit wonky and I'm unsure what to do with that specific ranking, so... If any of y'all wanna yoink it and expand on it, lemme know and you'll get full rights to add whatever the hell you want in it—
3. So far, all I have is ~extremely high fever~. But I was thinking that the moment the parasite gains access to the heart and brain, maybe people could get an adrenaline rush. So they'd be all shaky and stuff and erratic as hell. Adrenaline isn't really what it is in movies where, y'know, people who get a burst of it can suddenly do kung-fu taekwondo black-belt A+++ 360 no-scope and no-clip through walls; it's actually supposed to make you more inaccurate with your movements. Lmao, I always laugh whenever the main character in TV shows can do all this badass shit and then say, "It was the adrenaline." Nah, fam, that was plot armor, not hormones— Anyway, adrenaline pretty much exists to keep you alive, not unlock any new abilities or something, so everything about you will be wonky when you're on an adrenaline high. Hence why the zombies are so erratic and off-kilter. And adrenaline can also lead to paranoia, so people who are getting blasted to hell and back with fight-or-flight hormones are gonna be nervous as fuck. And, yeah, I should have it in the Firsts'/Ones' description that if you chop off someone's limb at most three hours after being bitten there, you should be ay-okay. |
