Maybe somebody who died recently blamed him for the others' deaths, and when they themselves fell ill they were furious that he wasn't doing enough to save them?

I know that in catestrophes and such with limited resources healers have to choose who they think is going to live and use their resources on that, so he would feel guilty about that. Also, Ghost was able to save him, so now he feels even more unconfident with his abilities and expects others to blame him

Yeah. he'll probably break down sometime when healing someone else and everybody else kinda just looks at each other because this wolf isn't doing well and they don't know what to do and their only hope is to get Ace to pull himself together so they're all like Ace please buddy....nobody blames you
