It's one of those things where once you make the first one, all the other ones after that become easier and easier to make in time, so there's no rush. Edited at July 21, 2020 10:41 PM by Dark Omens

I like the crystals, they're more my style. The herbs, possibly, but my sense of smell is somewhat strong, I guess? Strong smells mess me up, especially herbs. Though, sigils and meditating and stuff sounds my style too. I dunno, there are so many paths I can take and it's rather daunting lmao

I felt that when I first started. My advice? Don't bother trying to lable yourself or find your path just yet. I know that especially with wicca and paganism there's all sorts of information thrust at you. People always start with "what kind of witch are you?" and "what wicca path is yours?" but honestly that is something that is really hard to pin down at any point in the journey. Hell, just yesterday I thought I was only gonna try to work with Apollo and now I may be starting to make contact with my matron, so things change a lot. And people try to claim that their way is the only way, but really each journy is different - and unless it's a closed practice I reccomend looking at a little bit of everything. What I like about wicca is there's so much to get to experience and learn, so don't worry about not being as advanced as someone else just yet. If herbs and stuff aren't gonna work well with you (I know how you feel some plants are really smelly) then I definitly reccomend diving into things like sigils and meditation and especially crystals they are so cool! The rest will fall into place with time, and as you learn how to understand what your gut is telling you you'll find your path. Edited at July 21, 2020 10:49 PM by Dark Omens

Thank you! The only thing I'm really worried about is my mom. She's Christian and y'know, Wicca has a bad assumption about it. She'll probably be like, "the fuck you doin, sitting in a circle made out of candles?" Dark Omens said: Duskfall Hill said: I like the crystals, they're more my style. What I find best so far is the Book of Shadows; I can write down notes and such to look back on if I ever need to. And if I need to note something new down, I can! Just go with what feels right, in my mind,

She'll probably be like, "the fuck you doin, sitting in a circle made out of candles?" Oh trust me homie I feeeeeeel that. My mom is also super christian, and is very closed minded to any religion that is not the christian faith. It sucks, and you may have to stay in the broomcloset for a little bit. But again, you are your own person, and she cannot take away your craft. usually I just try to blend my witchy stuff in with my everyday common decor, and if worst comes to worst I just pull out my witchy stuff when everyone's asleep. Or, if it gets too bad, you aren't any less of a witch if you are only able to do research and meditate. Intention is what matters.

YASSS WE LOVE BOOKS OF SHADOWS! It is by far the most valuable tool a witch can have in my opinion

I'll probably just practice using meditation and subtle things and do all of the more involved stuff when I've moved out, have my own little shrine with everything I need

It really is gonna be a pretty valuable tool; I can tell. And some witches can't get the things they need at certain times, but that doesn't mean they aren't one.
