Ive been using the same three wolves to explore.. my alphas and the only other adult wolf in my pack.. The alphas have both just reached level four in defense but my beta is still level one..

Wolves level up every 25 Battle Experience, or every 25 creatures they kill.
Your Beta is just not getting the last hit on as many creatures as your Alphas are.

When your prey is almost dead, set the alphas to Evade, and your beta will get the last hit. 😀
