If you google it, it says the average height for a wolf is 80-85cm, which is around 2.6-2.8 feet. Hope that helps. :)

Appearance

Murdock stands at about 31 inches, being a little taller than average. His frame is definitely tall and lean instead of bulky. Though, it may look like he has more bulk due to his thick midnight black pelt. Most of his fur is black, lending him camouflage and a great advantage at night. Subtle hints of auburn and grey are found on his body, too. Some grey fur grows in along his neck, chest, muzzle, and haunches. And he has some dark auburn fur along his sides, which can only be noticed if the sun hits him just right. Murdock's eyes are a striking shade of green, almost looking like the color of sea glass(not in picture).

Personality
While Murdock's history is nothing short of sad and maybe a bit depressing, it seems like the male doesn't let it get to him. Yeah sure, he didn't grow up with a single loving parent, but he made it through alright. While others may think that his unfortunate upbringing would make him a colder individual, it surprisingly did not. The black wolf is nothing short of confident. In fact, some may say he is even a bit arrogant. Loud and bold, Murdock has no problems with saying whatever is on his mind, no matter the consequence. Thus, his blunt nature can hurt sometimes, but he honestly has no ill intentions.

The wolf enjoys attention, which is probably a result from his lack of attention as a pup. He has a presence about him that can either pull others in, or repel them. It really depends on how tolerant they can be. The male openly struts around the camp, as if he thinks he is all that. Murdock is cocky, believing himself to be the best of the best. Almost invincible. While it can certainly be annoying, Murdock knows nothing else. For his entire life, he had to be his own advocate. He had to be the one to support and push himself because none of his parents were there for him.

So while he may act like a total self-centered jerk occasionally, he really doesn't mean to. And if someone can simply look past his less attractive traits, they would be able to see some redeeming qualities within him. For one, the male is positive even in the darkest of times. Some may say he is simply gullible or lacks concern. But truly, he knows the sun will always rise again tomorrow. His entire life, he had to fight for everything. His ability to continue fighting and persevering is honestly admirable. If there is one thing you can count on him for, it is that he won't stop until he achieves something, or dies trying.

A surprising thing about Murdock would be that he genuinely is capable of caring for others, despite his colder upbringing. He learned early on how it feels to be unwanted or ignored, so he does his very best to make sure he doesn't do that to anyone else. While sometimes he struggles to show it, he will try to make little gestures for others. Murdock is a better individual than others may give him credit for. His blatant arrogance and bluntness may turn others off, but if they are willing to get to know him a bit better, they will find that he is so much better than that.

He's also a bit of a flirt.

Backstory
Simple, nothing different really. Born and raised in the pack. The only thing that is worth mentioning is that his father was not a huge presence in his life. He was distant and he never connected with his father. Usually, when one parent is gone(his mother left), the other one needs to make up for it somehow. But his father did no such thing. He looked at Murdock like he was any other pup. Not his own flesh and blood. A couple grunts or glares were all Murdock received throughout the few short years until his father passed. Thus, maybe that is the source of his attention-seeking tendencies.

Don't get me wrong, Murdock hates starving, but he loves winter for the snow.
