**How Old Do They Appear: well, given the outfits, the niche interests, his coffee connoisseurship, and the haircut that hasn't changed in the last ten years, probably around forty years old. well, he seems forty. he appears a bit older, perhaps as a result of his calm stoicism, but physically he is in his prime, and seems every bit of a twenty-something. it is when you get to know him that you find an elderly man in a young adult's body.

Appearance: Max stands at about 6'1, with a toned frame on the leaner side. He typically has a calculated expression on his face, with his eyebrows furrowed and his eyes focused on something or another. He has long eyelashes and a sharp jawline, with precise eyebrows that are thick and dark. His hair is fluffy and fairly short, but he typically slicks it back to keep it from being the mess of curls it threatens to be. His eyes are a medium amber color, something rather unique but likely not noticeable the first time you meet him. Once you notice them, however, you cannot forget them, or stop staring into them.

As far as clothing goes, Max often wears office attire, whatever is fashionable but minimalistic at the time. He can tie a tie with the best of them, and he has an enviable collection of dress shirts, slacks, and dress shoes. He has little else in his closet, other than a small collection of designer shoes that is worth a small fortune.
**Voice: Max's voice is slightly deeper than average, and has a rich tone. The majority of the time it lacks any kind of accent, and seems like a bland, American accent. However, certain words produce an accented sound, but it is difficult to tell which European accent it resembles. He is very calculated in his pronunciation of words, and rarely misspeaks. On the rare occasion he is nervous, especially when a woman is involved, he stumbles over all of his words.

**Jewelry/Accessories: Max wears a family ring on his right hand, and his grandmother's engagement and wedding rings on a chain around his neck. Because he is typically covered up, it is rare for someone to notice. He doesn't want people snooping in his personal affairs, so if you see enough of his chest to point it out, he'd probably deny it or change the subject. He's only explained it to one other person in his lifetime, so if he chooses to share it, you must be special. Other than that, he has no piercings, but does have several tattoos on his body, hidden under his modest clothing. Those are another surprise about him. In addition, he has an expansive collection of designer watches, so he's nearly always wearing one of those.

Personality: Max values morality, hard work, and perfectionism. He prefers to do everything in a methodical way and may come off as an individual with unrelenting standards and a god complex. Underneath his rigid exterior is a very sensitive and caring individual who has been hurt too many times, and is far too hard on himself. He gets very hard on himself for his mistakes, and has very thick, high walls to protect himself from other people. The only people that bring out his soft side are his family, with whom he is very sensitive, sweet, and protective. He has been seperated from them for a long, long time, and has found solace in the work he does. His primary motive is to be reunited with them, after all this is over.

Strengths: grounds others very well, maintains calm in stressful situations, very methodical and creates plans that typically go off exactly correctly, has a ridiculous amount of knowledge on a ridiculous amount of topics, very protective of those he cares about, especially women because he grew up close with his mother and his three sisters. His father was in and out of the hospital with various illnesses, so he stepped up and easily takes that role on with friends and strangers alike.
Weaknesses: cynical of things such as love and higher powers, doesn't do well with spontaneity, a lil bit of a control freak, stuffs emotions and frustrations until he blows up, then feels very guilty about blowing up, struggles to express his needs, thoughts, and emotions

Physical Health: peak physical health. He's one of those self-help gurus who reads books about taking cold showers in the middle of the night and going to bed at 6pm to maximize productivity and success. He goes to the gym every morning and evening, and practices mindfulness exercises like meditation and yoga in the afternoons. He's not jacked, but he's the model of what a healthy, toned, muscular body is.
Mental Health: other than raging workaholism and a lack of desire to acknowledge any and all feelings that may arise, he is really pretty healthy. He had an eating disorder when he was younger, but he's gotten over it for the most part. Everyone jokes about him having OCD and other related anxiety disorders, but he's never been officially diagnosed.
Immune System: His immune system is actually really weak. He's allergic to a lot of things and cannot eat much. He gets sick really often, and doesn't do well in the elements, especially rain.

After that, he swore he would never look at another woman like that again, and he would live his life alone and focused on 'the important things in life,' i.e. making money, having a successful career, making a name for himself, and taking care of his parents and younger sisters.
Crush(es): none (see above), but I would love to see the angst and internal turmoil that would occur as a result of someone actually having chemistry with him and him trying to control it and put it in a box :) he'd probably be best with someone with a wild side, a polar opposite that would balance him, as he would her :)
