Powers / Genetic Modification:

Aidan's modifications are purely genetic, but they have formed a supersoldier. Due to an editing of his CCR5-delta 32 gene, his immune system is near unbeatable. Six. He rarely gets sick, and it takes a strong dose of a pathogen to give him even a mild cough.

The gene nyctalopin, one that allows for humans to see in the dark, has been edited so that he can see in nearly pitch black conditions. He does not need night vision goggles, nor does he need flashlights, which allows him to move stealthily with unimpaired vision range. This gene edit also affected his eyesight in general, so he can see farther and in higher definition, though not excessively so.

His third mutation is found on the FAAH gene, which, in Aidan's case, is actually being inhibited. This gene is the sensor for pain and determins the speed at which the body heals; his has been stifled so as to allow a much more rapid recovery process and a numbness to intense physical pain.

Finally, Aidan has a modified ACTN3 gene. This one involves speed and reaction time. Aidan's reflexes are impeccable. He can react almost as soon as a movement is made, which allows him to escape plenty of tricky situations and place others in them instead.

Thoughts On Being a part of The Order:

He doesn't like other people controlling him manually. He'd much rather make the same decisions on his own, minus a couple. It wasn't his choice to be brought into existence; he's never known true agency, and he hates that.

Aidan is tall, dark, and handsome. Bronze tan skin is pulled over a lean, well-muscled composition and stretched tight over old scars. His face is angular, proportionate, and smooth, though his mouth always seems to be stuck in a mild frown.

His round eyes are an electric blue and are framed by thick eyelashes. The storm gray undertones only reflect and enhance his serious, dangerous nature. A long scar runs from the middle of the left side of his forehead across his eye and down to the end of his upper jaw. Aidan's hair is black and is cut in a sort of grown-out crew cut, where the top reaches about two inches long and the sides are shorn closer.

Aidan stands at six foot four and weighs in in the 180s at most. His body is definitely more of a lithe build, but his wiry strength is obvious and not to be overlooked. He holds himself straight and walks with confident, prowling movements.

His modifications do not have an outwardly physical prominence; the only one that somewhat can be identified is that involving his eyes. At night, his pupils dilate much, much larger than a normal person's, and his eyes are just a little bigger than average in general. Besides that, it's quite hard to tell that he's a GMO.

Personality:

Aidan is fiery, but it rarely shows through his mask of professionalism. When it does show, all Hell breaks loose and he becomes a danger to anyone opposing him. This has never happened to or around his teammates, and he tries extra hard to keep his irritation to himself around them.

He is an extremely stubborn individual, but he is well trained and will follow orders. Aidan is as mentally capable as he is physically, and he is definitely more of a leader-loner personality type. He does not stand for disrespect or dismissal. Those who offend him or get on his bad side will know it; he will make no effort to hide it. Aidan will only show respect or loyalty to those who he deems worthy.

He is not necessarily loyal to the government; their treatment of him, and other genetically modified humans, pisses him off. He is not a dog, nor is he a servant. He is a soldier, and he damn well better be respected because he could punch your head off.

Aidan is altruistic, believe it or not. He will put himself in danger to save another, especially someone in his group. He takes duty seriously and will always try and find a solution in which the fewest innocent lives are placed in jeopardy. Every loss takes a toll on him, but he does his best not to show it around others. But he does break down occasionally.

Likes:

His likes are few and far between, especially given his circumstances. He enjoys food and winning fights. He enjoys outsmarting others and proving that you don't need a lizard tail or metal skin to be a good soldier. He likes spending his freetime alone, drawing or watching normal people live normal lives.

Aidan likes weapons, likes the surge of adrenaline just before a fight. He likes order and strategy, but he's completely fine with wreaking havoc. He will occasionally do math or science problems for fun.

Dislikes:

Aidan hates the part of the adrenaline rush that makes you feel like you have to pee. The feeling happens too often for his liking, and it ruins the moment. Along with that, he hates the feeling of other bodies being pushed up against his own. It's gross.

Arguments, losses, most vegetables, insubordination, and teenagers are some of his least favorite things in life. And poor attitudes. He is very much a "suck it up, buttercup" sort of person.

Strengths:

He is very physically capable. With enhanced healing, he can work his body further than most and still only have to rest the same amount of time. The slower pain alerts result in further endurance, though he knows when to stop to avoid serious injury.

With his eyes and reflexes, he has a deadly aim. Sharpshooting, or sniping, is his specialty, and he can hit small targets from far away with relative ease. His aim is not limited to shooting, however; he also excels at well-placed punches, throwing knives and other objects, and judging depths, distances, and definition.

Strategy and mind games are favorites of his as well, and he uses them -- but only on his enemies.

Weaknesses:

Aidan has a temper. It's a fiery, violent eruption when he goes off, and he does go off. He doesn't show his emotions at all until they've been built up for so long that he just explodes.

He works well in a team -- but he doesn't do well in submissive positions. He is not a sheep, and he does not like to be treated as such. Aidan will hold a grudge forever, especially when it pertains to how the recipient regarded him as a blind follower.

Due to a recent explosion he was near, Aidan's left ear has ceased to function for the time being. He is slowly regaining hearing in that ear, but, for now, he is partially deaf.

Backstory:

Well, once upon a time, a random egg got mixed with some random sperm, was CRISPR edited, put in a petri dish, and sentenced to life in prison. He's salty about it.

Like most Androids, he is equipped with a fast reaction time, can calculate solutions and problems as quick as 0.001 seconds, and has also been equipped with combat muscle memory. Because of his titanium frame, it is a bit harder to kill Rune, though it still isn't entirely impossible.

Thoughts on Being Part of The Order: To be fair, he really has no choice. Rune was created for his job, therefore he really does have no thought on it - he is a part of it regardless if he wants to be or not. However, he will never go against his creators.

Appearance: Standing at six foot evenly, Rune appears as alive as it'll ever get. He has a rather average male build, a bit more on the muscular side, though this is usually masked by his clothing choice. He has lanky arms, some defined muscle within them. He has a broad composure, his shoulders wide and chest as well. His abdomen is that of an upside down triangle - his shoulders are the widest part, while his abdoment is slightly thinner. He has a simple flat stomach with some definition. His legs give him most of his height, in which are a bit on the slimmer side. His thighs and calves possess the most muscle, though some fat still lingers. His skin (if you can even call it that) color is that of a paler white.

Rune has an angular face shape. It is that of an oval, though his jawline is still easily defined. He has bright brown eyes, hints of amber color speckled throughout them, and appear even brighter if in a certain light. His eyes are a more rounder shape, and are very expressive. Rune's eyebrows are just as expressive, and are full and a bit on the longer side, though evenly spaced. To be honest he appears to be perfect - his eyebrows have a slight arch at the end. Rune has a straight nose with a slight bump in the middle, and is slightly downturned at the end. Below that are his lips, which are on the wider end, though still full. His lower lip is slightly heavier than the top, and both are a pale pink color.

Rune's hair is neatly situated on his oval-shaped head. It is a dark brown, thick and neatly cut. It's kept shorter on the sides, and is parted down the middle. There is a chance that a few fly-aways may end up covering his face, however, Rune leaves them so he appears to be more human rather than robotic. However, is personality definitely counters that, no doubt.

Rune's attire is quite interesting. He wears all black, for starters. He appears to be more ghostly because of this. But he wears a black button-up shirt with strings at the end that are normally tied. On top of that, he wears a long coat (stops a bit below his knees), that his thick in material. There are a few pockets in this - two on the outside, and four on the inside (two on each side). His pants are similar to that of cargo pants, and are loser the more you go down. His shoe choice are tactical black combat boots, in which his pants are slightly tucked in to.

Rune holds himself with proper posture - shoulders back, head high, etc. His walking gait is of a longer stride, though still easy to match speed with and isn't entirely too long to say the least. His face expression is probably some long stare as he's trying to calculate what the best solution is for something, so even if he looks very human, it's obvious to tell that he isn't.

Personality: Rune's programming is made up of three things - ambition, loyalty, and consistency. These three things can make up a rather ruthless killing machine, and it has before. Rune is made for doing what he is told and respecting those above him, which he does regardless if he wants to or not - he has absolutely no control over it. He does not ask questions - he simply gets to work and completes his task, normally with perfection or near to it.

Speaking of being loyal - Rune is probably the most loyal thing you will ever meet. Considering that this is what he was created for, he has never failed anyone, and normally, his loyalty is returned by a lot of people. However, some may be skeptical of this considering he is just a machine after all - some may call it artificial and not real. However, what he is programmed to feel is technically real as there is no way of changing it, but maybe that's the other issue.

Rune can be quite gullible. This is where his true android components show. He does not always understand human emotion, and is quite apathetic when it comes to those certain things. He feels as if he doesn't have any time for them and does not take an interest to do so. For that, Rune is emotionally unavailable and should never be your first pick to try and vent to. Never. For starters, he isn't going to keep secrets, even if he's told to. He just doesn't function like that. Secondly, he really won't understand.

Rune can become quite obsessive, and not in a good way. When he has a mission, he will accomplish it. He's ambitious and does not let anything or anyone stop him. He will complete the task with perfection and presicion, and there are no questions to be asked. He is like an addict - it takes a lot to stop him. He will always tell you that he's probably better than you are, he's quicker, and is above anyone else who isn't an android.

For that, people will probably consider Rune cocky. Which he can be, but he thinks it's out of confidence rather than being confident. But considering Rune technically doesn't have a real brain, he doesn't really care what others think of him and will do what's really best for him rather than others. He can be quite selfish, though within a crowd of people, this does change. It just depends on how well you know him. Rune does not just 'care' for others right away. He takes his time to get to know someone before he determines whether or not they are compatible.

Rune is sociable. Considering he shows minimal human emotion like fear and anxiety, approaching others is no issue. He can be quite intuitive as well, and perhaps curious, especially about the human functionality. He's philosophical like that, but it can become quite annoying to be honest. Rune sometimes can be more human than you expect, and this annoying aspect adds a lot to that.

Rune is very consistent. This would include how fast he completes something, how quickly he respons to his surroundings, anything of the like. He does take the time to correct himself, however, and does not like to fail. If he fails something, he will attempt it again until he gets it right. This is another human aspect that is sometimes looked over - just because he is a machine doesn't always mean perfection.

Likes: Working till perfection, completing a task, working, discovering new areas, learning new things, having the ability to do as he pleases, warmer weather

Backstory: Rune was created for a singular mission - do as The Order tells him. This is what he has been doing every since his first breaths, if you will. Rune ever since has been going between multiple planets, learning about them until he was stationed at the one they are at now.

This female upon first glance is quite pretty - her origins can be determined to be Indonesian and Filipino with faint Korean and Ghanaian ancestors. Her skin is of a rich mixture of cocoa and burnt caramel completion. Her skin is soft and supple, however some scars do mar it, but they're faded ones - they mostly lie around her legs due to her hobby of snorkeling. Her face is well formed - with a sharp jawline and high set cheekbones, with her cheeks being puffier giving her a faint youthful appearance. Her eyes are almond shaped and small, they are of a beautiful amber coloration. She - due to swimming a lot, is able to constrict her eye pupils at will which gives her amazing underwater vision. It was found with a further analysis of the female that she had a PDE10A gene already within her genetics. This gene heightened the thyroid levels within the body which increases the spleen size. And having a larger spleen size meant that she could be less affected when free diving and she could five for longer hours and hold her breath longer - naturally. It's speculated her genes came from the Bajau people in Indonesia and Haenyo diving people of Jeju in South Korea. It seems she also had BDKRB2, which controls blood vessel constriction in the extremities, and FAM178B, which helps regulate carbon dioxide balance in the blood. Both are important for oxygen conservation and breath-holding ability underwater, according to the researchers. She was in fact the perfect diver.

Now - her heart has been pumped with tar, a cold and desolate shell of who she used to be.

It takes a toll to be so gifted. Why did she have to be the burned out gifted kid?

To this young femme's peers she is a model example for them. Always top of her class, highly disciplined, never once has she received a mark or demerit on her record. She is the example - her intelligence, wit, and determined nature is something to be both admired and feared. She bears a cold, condescending gaze that simple grazes over others - as if she believes she's superior to them and can lead to one believing she has quite a ego. She is confident in herself, her judgements, and her beliefs - but she is not arrogant as to not be able to ask for help. Sure she can and will be stubborn and unwilling to outwardly ask for it, but if it's offered then she would accept it. If one observed her they would find that is is quite modest and humble - never bragging about her achievements or awards given to her. However - sometimes she can brag when she doesn't mean to, like if one asked what her rank was and she simply tells them or if they asked about her living situation.

Her behavior is that of a business woman - prim, proper, and commanding. Her posture is never lacking, her words are always the right manner and tone, and she never starts arguments - without purpose or reason that is. This young femme walks with light and delicate steps, but there is also some power and command in them as well. Her head is always high - never will it be down, and her body is always in perfect alignment whenever she sits and she wouldn't be caught dead slouching either. Her fashion sense is always impeccable, and she dresses in only her best - and all her materials and everything she must uses must be only the best also. Her supplies and space is always neatly organized - never will you see her materials out of place or something unsightly within her home or workspace. One could associate it with a case of OCD - being very thing must be in order and have its proper place or she will be thrown off.

As stated - this woman is intelligent. Her intelligence is both emotional and physical intelligence. She is one to go to seminars, museums, and other educational places to work her mind. Rarely if ever does she cut loose - and this can make her appear as a rigid ice queen when she doesn't expect invites to go out. She is one to analyze others in her mind as she casually looks at them - she takes not of the small and bigger things - why are they sweating? that person has deviated from their usual pattern of doing a certain thing, why? why did their voice go up an octave when I mentioned something? Her mind is always in overdrive - this makes her a quick thinker and highly adaptable and flexible under high stress situations. Her intelligence is coupled with her stoic behavior - her face is always calm and cool - she never lets anyone know what she's thinking. It's a weakness - why should you let someone know what you think. Be kind - and they think you're spineless. Be weak - and the scavengers will come and prey on you. Be in love - the person can take your heart and shatter it into a million uncollectable pieces that can take a long time to fix. Always wear a mask , never let anyone in for fear they may try and take advantage of you.

Outwardly, she may appear to be quite social - but if you watch her closer. You'll see she tends to linger towards the back - only makes conversation when spoken to ands always seems to have a somber expression on her face. She's afraid of making connections with others - afraid of what they could do to her or what she could do to them. What if she messed up and offended someone? It could easily end a friendship without her knowing and this frightens her. People come and go, they betray you, they can hurt you - so she finds it best not to be around them so they don't hurt her heart. Also, going to parties gives her high amounts of stress. She's constantly overthinking : What to wear? What to bring? Who'll be there? How to act? Unless you physically dress and drag her out - only will she be going somewhere to have fun. Secretly she wants to go out but she doesn't want to make a fool of herself. It's mainly a fright of gaining an attachment to others that she doesn't find herself but being simply cordial and proper with them. She has an extremely cold exterior to others - and it's quite a reputation.
