His most prominent and noticeable scar is from a gash across his muzzle, which he got while fighting off a badger during a hunt. It stretches from close to his left eye to the end of his muzzle. His looks are pretty odd for a wolf, a beautiful jet black with gray and beautiful mahogany brown points at his legs and his face, covering the front of his muzzle and his eye brows. The other strange thing about his appearance is his height. He is shorter than average, standing at around the height of a golden retriever. He has flashy snow-white paws that pop out from the rest of his pelt, making his feet easy to recognize through undergrowth. His eyes are a piercing icey blue, yet they are filled with kindness, warmth, and emotion. His gait is naturally strutty and filled with confidence and pride, but he has a limp in his back legs that has been there since birth, likely caused by a deformity while he was growing. He appears to be weak because of his skinny, fluffy build, but underneath his fluffy fur he is very strong and muscular, being able to take on almost any opponent and win. Personality: While Shashlik appears to be and distant and keep to himself more, if you can get close to him he'll open up and show who he really is. He is caring and kind for people he cares about. Shashlik is also very loyal, and would do anything to protect his loved ones and his pups. He isn't too overprotective or controlling in his relationship with Lynxtuft and gives lots of freedom to her. He is also very encouraging and optimistic, always hoping for the best for himself and other wolves. He remains respectful and loyal to the Alphas despite his wavering confidence in their rules and way of leading the pack. He has always been confident, sometimes seeming a little bit too snobby for anybody's liking. He has never been very popular due to the way he comes off to other wolves, not talking too much and seeming over-confident and arrogant. He has never really been bullied by other pack members, but he's never had a good friendship with other wolves in the pack besides his mate. Also, Shashlik wasn't born in this pack. He was found as a pup near the outskirts of the territory, left abandoned. He was taken in by the Alphas and grew up in the pack simply as another pup. Alright, let's have some fun with this one! Name Fracture Age 4 years old, maybe 3 if necessary. Gender Male Role Pack member Opinions on the pairings Leaning towards support; although he understands that the tradition may result in some unwanted pairings and that Malaki is extremely brutal, Fracture just wants everyone to understand that the tradition was created for a good purpose, and that good can come out of it. Appearance There really isn't much to Fracture's appearance - the fact that he was born the runt of the litter summarizes it all. It's often said that he would have been gifted with a beautiful, sleek, exquisite white pelt that would have astonished the entire pack, if it weren't for the fact that this white coat is also accompanied by a tortoiseshell brindle. This brindle creates jagged light gray and brown cracks through his otherwise snowlike fur. Fracture's underside, tail, legs, and forehead are also tainted with vague patches of cream. As a result, his brindled pelt - which often got him plenty of teasing from his peers back when he was a juvenile - overshadows his gleaming, beautiful peridot eyes. His small, fragile build and generally weak muscles only encourages more ridicule from the rest of the pack. Fracture is on the shorter side when it comes to height, and he has relatively high metabolism, making him pretty thin most of the time, even when prey is abundant. Fracture's weak build is made up for by his extremely keen senses. His awareness makes him very adept at exploring, his eyesight can see the tiniest details from an astonishing distance, his nose can pick up the slightest change in smells, and his ears can diffrentiate between the calls and noises of all the animals that reside in the territory. Personality Despite having faced humiliation for his appearance and small size for most of his life, Fracture still tries to be empathetic and understanding towards others. He's a massive people pleaser and forces himself to agree with the words of other people. For much of his early life, Fracture was told that if the amount of female and male juveniles were uneven, he'd definitely be the one to get exiled or killed. This made him extremely hyperaware of his surroundings from a young age out of fear that he might be ambushed and killed right before the pairings in secret so that the female and male juveniles would remain even. Of course, Malakai didn't end up killing him - he saw a potential supporter in the otherwise weak and ridiculed wolf, and took advantage of this by allowing Fracture to accompany older pack members on exploring expeditions, as well as personally reassuring him that he was capable and not as weak as everyone thought. This made Fracture extremely respectful of Malakai, and while he does fear the alpha male a bit, he's more comfortable around him than other wolves, having seen Malakai's "good side" (whether that "good side" is genuine or not, we'll see). To this day, he still believes that Malakai just wants the pack to thrive, even if his methods are slightly brutal, and will do basically anything for him - his weak build often makes him clear of any suspicion when strange events occur. Fracture has few but very close and understanding friends. He's not picky, it's that others are picky, and although he understands that, he actively tries to befriend them and aid them. However, he has a huge disdain of juveniles, having been treated poorly when he was one. He also requires time to himself, mostly spent wandering the territory and observing the activity around him - it's sort of like walking meditation for him, and some say that his keen senses were developed from spending most of his time in the forest. And while Fracture's not the most agile or stealthy hunter, his observations of the animals allows him to give better hunters advice on how to catch the more elusive prey. His time spent with exploration teams has also given him a pretty good memory, so there's little chance of him every getting lost in the wild. Strengths (3+) Awareness - Fracture can notice subtle but crucial details that others fail to see or even overlook. Keen Senses - he has excellent senses, which aids his awareness and his love for exploring. Good Memory - Fracture developed a relatively good memory from his constant adventuring. Weaknesses (3+) Weak Build - he is pretty weak physically and terribly unfit for combat. Fracture is also somewhat short in comparison to other wolves, which often earns him unwanted ridicule. Blind Trust - whenever anyone shows him kindness or tries to understand him, he immediately believes that they're 100% trustworthy and doesn't have a single second thought about their true intentions. Blind Search of Friendship - due to having such few friends, he's always looking for more companions, and gets turned down most of the time - despite having been hurt by this multiple times, Fracture still tries his friendly approach to others, even if they've already treated him harshly. Name Willow Age 2 1/2 years Gender Female Role pack member Opinions on the pairings Although her mate was a prior selected pairing Willow wasn't in favor in the beginning of her youth and though she went through with the pair afraid to act out against her pack she still held a grudge and even now isn't the closest with her forced mate pairing. Willow makes due and is civil with her mate doing what she would do with someone she'd actually love however her true feelings to him at the time being aren't that of what a mate should feel towards her other half. Appearance Willow isn't anything special. She's got a small frame with a short height still growing to her full potential however she's basically there and not expected to grow much bigger. Willow was born with one blue eye and one brown the only thing that stands out when you catch a glimpse of her. She has a dusty grey coat with a glimmer of brown and white blended in with the sheen grey. Her ears are tinted a darker grey along with her tail and paws as a gentle contrast to her face and body. Willow's small frame didn't give her much of a fighting chance against bigger predators or even taking down a deer single handedly but her small figure and generally weaker muscles made her more stealthy and quick on her paws. Willow has learned how to use her size to her advantage in lurking and outwitting those bigger and stronger than her. Personality Willow is very obedient and afraid of breaking rules or standing out. She likes to blend in and stand out and when faced with difficult choices or put in uncomfortable situations she tends to be more of a submissive and nervous soul. Willow is rather reserved and shy to those who approach her of higher authority. Being old enough to not be a juvenile but young enough to still be experimenting with what her place is in the pack she is rather unsure and conflicted with her inner emotions rather than being bold and trying to impress the higher ranked pack members. Name Ash Age 2 1/2 years Gender Male Role pack member Opinions on the pairings Partically in favor and partically not having had not get to choose his pairing however Ash was always one that was easy to charm any female and was a overall flirt so Ash seemed to not really care however when talking to his sister he decided to side with her when she brings up her thoughts on the subject especially due to the grudge he feels towards her mate that she didn't get to choose. Appearance Unlike his sister Ash holds a large figure with big beefy paws and a muscular frame as he holds his head high with confidence. Ash has a dark dusty grey coat with a glimmer of brown and black blended in with the musty color that makes him hide in the night. Ash's eyes shine a bright blue with a mysterious gleam to them, his left ear holds a notch in it from when he was younger and decided to take on a badger foolishly despite his parents wishes. Personality Ash is a prideful and confident male in whatever he does. Not only is he flirtatious and mischievous he seems to be the exact opposite of his sister Willow. Ash brings out the adventurous and boldness of Willow just as she brings out the soft and gentle side of him. Ash although tends to hold a strong barrier around himself and his emotions when those get to know him he tends to hold a gentler touch. Ash is devious and adventurous yet cunning and although he has a hard shell and can be insensitive and sarcastic he is protective of those he gets close to. Strengths (3+) His physical appearance and condition had always been a plus when in combat and hunting. He could single handedly take down a herd of deer if he tried hard enough. Not only that but he's confident almost too confident he isn't easily intimidated and he wont hesitate to show off or step out of his place in despite of others. He's a great tracker and always volunteers to lead hunting patrols or just patrols of the territory. Weaknesses (3+) He's foolish and often acts without thinking, he's also not very bright. Although he has brute and is great with hunting he lacks in survival techniques like his sister and he tends to let his pride get the best of him when it comes to admitting he can't or accepting someone else's authority. TL;DR: Distance looks pretty similar to his mom (Azalea) and has some features from his father (Fracture). As for his personality, he used to be a super extroverted and outgoing fighter-in-training, but then he stumbled across something that made him see the ugly side of the world and become silent ever since, instead choosing to stick strictly to hunting. He's considered mute by others except for his family due to him literally never talking. Distance also constantly sneaks out of camp despite being a pup. Name He goes by "Distance" despite his birth name being "Mullein" Age ~1 year old Gender Male Role Pup Opinions on the pairings Undecided Appearance Not much can be said about Distance's appearance. His pelt is mostly black, with a tortoiseshell brindle and white paws inherited from Fracture, as well as a less visible tortoiseshell patch running down his back. However, unlike his parents, Distance also has a gradually fading orange-brown marking that appears to be a single, long splash of color running through his side, which is also accompanished by a vague white patch. His build is somewhat weaker than the average wolf, although his constant growth spurts suggest that Distance will be about as tall as Azalea when he reaches his adult size - 30 inches at the shoulder. His legs are long and thin, and although he doesn't have high metabolism like Fracture, he doesn't seem to be gaining much weight. Distance quickly became known as a potentially phenomenal fighter due to his speed and agility not long after he started wandering outside the nursery, and while he still takes pride in this, he doesn't really use it to inflate his ego, knowing very well that his "agility" comes from him knowing where to step and where to not step - he's not agile, he just has geographical advantages (so, technically, all he can do is quickly diffrentiate between bad spots to jump to and good spots to jump to.) His parents didn't overlook his talents, with Azalea quickly training him to become a brilliant fighter at a young age. Although Distance had potential to be a hunter, for a while, he used to be known to be extremely fearful of venturing outside the camp, hence why he trained so often. Distance was known as a potential candidate for one of the pack's next best combatants due to his ability to attack opponents very quickly. He often trained with other pups and even the juveniles, and quickly learned from their mischief. It's often said that Distance became more rebellious as a result of him trying to emulate the mischief created by the older wolves, although he still hesitated to go on their secret adventures out of fear. During this time, he was extremely outgoing and extroverted, trying to tag along with the other juveniles and bribing them with hunting advice his father gave him to allow him to join their little "fight sessions". He was also extremely talkative, although not everyone appreciated his constant yapping. Then, a sudden incident changed his entire personality and behavior. One day, he'd finally managed to summon enough courage to join the juveniles in their forbidden adventures. They journeyed much farther from camp then they should have, crossing even the territory border. Suddenly, the group ran into the site of a battle between two large packs. Distance saw dozens of lifeless bodies and the faces of wolves who once were alive and well - he even saw multiple wolves who looked far too young to fight other packs. This snapped something in him, and once he returned, he never spoke of the incident. Following this horrifying encounter, Distance no longer wished to train to be a fighter, not wanting to end up in a battle just like the one he witnessed. Instead, his outgoing, extroverted, talkative side was instantly shut away, and he become a silent shadow of who he used to be, to the point where others label him as mute and calling him "Distance" so much that it practically replaced his real name (he doesn't mind, though). He only talks to his parents and prefers to not communicate with others at all, having become much more mentally mature for his age than he should be (as stated above, it's not necessarily a good thing). He also lost his fear of the wild and started going up to the mountains to chase down prey using his speed and agility, and he no longer cares about others threatening him with consequences if he keeps sneaking out of camp. (Side note: Azalea is stated to be extremely overprotective and motherly. Her own son becoming suddenly shut-in and silent could be why.) Rebellious Actions - his attitude isn't rebellious, but he often sneaks out of camp against orders, putting himself in potential danger just to get away from the camp. Brute Strength - this is something Distance's entire (immediate) family lacks. He makes up for this with his speed and agility, and his preferred method of taking down prey is either launching himself on top of them using an incredible amout of momentum or delaying the prey until stronger hunters arrive. Name: Jarek (Slavic for "fierce" and "warrior") Age: 3 years Gender: Male Aroma: Peaches and Salt Reputation: The golden gentle giant. The softie of the pack that causes no problems and just wants peace. Rank: Pack member Thoughts On The Pairings: Ehh.. Well he doesn't agree with why they are in placed. He just wants to go with the flow. Appearance: The giant of giants as he stand from shoulder to ground of 30 inches. He is around 150 pounds. He is buly and muscular but his long and thick fur makes him bigger than he actually he is. He is a brute and bulky shoulders His coat colors are golden blonde hue color that in the sunlight reflect white whisps at the ends. His underbelly is white and his legs are tan color with mixture of grey and white hues. His darker gold is around his face and neck almost resembling like a lion that are longer and matted with fur and leaves with the color of darkbrown and black. This magestic beast body is intimidating and frightening with a large body and menacing dark amber eyes. He's just a gentle giant with large fluffy tail. The golden retriever wolf.. Jarek is cool headed with so much patience and content in his mind. An idealistic and imaginative masculine that is stuck in his own day dream. He is stubborn with orders that make little to no sense to him. If you give him at least a good explanation of why. Then he obeys. He usually is submissive and does what he is told like a good boy.
