The Pack Of Sangius

The world is quite odd in the current state of matters. Long ago, those known as Earthborn or humans, disappeared from the face of the Terra. A nuclear war being the cause of it. Many centuries later, the world evolved. Animals grew stronger, deadlier, cunning and powerful. They began exhibiting signs of powers or gifts as the animals called them. Those who had them were viewed as what we would say, Gods. They began shaping and changing the landscape for the better and bringing a wonderful life for their kind. However some animals didn't gain these powers and grew jealous and vengeful towards those Gifted ones.

One pack in particular made a name for themselves and not in a good way. They were simple known as the Sangius Pack, a odd pack of wolves. They were the result of the nuclear war: larger and stranger looking than normal wolves. These wolves bore spines, horns, and many other fearsome features that became normal for their species. However they were discontent with the Gifted wolves being the leaders and protectors for them. So for years they plotted and plotted until one day all hell broke loose.

The Great War: The War of Claws and Wits

The War happened quickly and swiftly. The leader of the wolves was a wolf who crowned herself as the Demoiselle of the Pack, and she was a fearsome creature . They say her eyes were like scarlet and her claws were like ivory and her fur was the color of the shimmering moon itself. Her name was Selena, and she started this Great War, not because she felt the Gifted we're doing anything wrong but because of envy of their power and wanting control over it. It was greed and selfishness that drove her to this. Many lives were lost on both sides of the war until the Gifted fell to these normal wolves. They were forced to take a certain poison that controlled their powers, and even then they were still tortured and treated as the lowest of the low.

For the Demoiselle's enjoyment she crafted a Trial for the Gifted. It was an elaborate race of deadly proportions that she designed for none to live. The people within her pack speculated the event and made bets on who won. It was a grand spectacle, and this year was no different. The latest batch of Gifted was ready for the Trials and everything seemed to be going according to plan.

Plot Summary

The 14 are scheduled for the annual Trials. It is a time of dread and danger. Who will survive these malicious games, and will they find a way to band together and stop the madness. Or will they end up under the ground?

The Powers Of The Gifted
The Gift of Ignis
These wolves are gifted with the power of fire or ignis. They naturally produce a lot of heat, which gets hotter the angrier or more afraid they become, meaning touching a distressed Ignis user can seriously burn you. These wolves crave and adore anything hot, and need heat to be able to produce their heat. These wolves come in darker shades of red, black, orange and anything warm. They also are known for their horns and tail spines.

Power: Those gifted with the power of Ignis can create fire at will with their own paws, and can surround themselves with it. They also can manipulate the shape and accuracy of it with time and training. The strength of it depends on their warmth and the warmth of the area around them. They can use heat from the core of the earth but this is a more risky move. These wolves are impervious to flames and heat as it's their nature, an Ignis user without fire is not a happy camper and will be grouchier than usual.

The Gift of Unda
These wolves are gifted with the power of unda or water. These wolves are easily identified by their fur colors: they can be colorful as the corals of the sea or murky like the depths of the sea. Some may even possess gills or frills on the back of their paws and legs. These wolves have webbed paws and are naturally better at swimming, they also can breath underwater and see under it. Some may even have bioluminescent markings on them.

Power: Those gifted with the power of Unda can control currents and water. However the water must already be present or be able for them to draw water from a source. For them to use water from their own bodies is dangerous and can cause their death. They can bend water to they will and also enchant objects to be waterproof or if the put their nose against the nose of another wolf, temporarily let them breath under water for an hour. These wolves need water, and if they are without water for a couple weeks they will slowly begin to go insane.

The Gift of Umbra
These wolves are gifted with the power of Umbra or shadows/darkness. These wolves are always black or a dark greyish color. These wolves have bat like wings or dark feathered wings and horns. They have eyes adept to seeing in pure darkness, and this is also usable underwater. They are also known for tail spikes.

Power: Those gifted with the power of Umbra or shadows/darkness can manipulate darkness and shadows. A nickname for them are Chaos wolves. These were the second most feared wolves within the Great War. They could virtually become invisible within the night time, and the possessed a cruel magic that can drive one insane if used to much. They can enchant and curse objects along with performing many spells due to these dark powers.

The Gift of Eurus
The wolves gifted with the powers of Eurus or wind. These wolves have pure white color, the only difference is they posess grey eyes. They also bear large white wings. These wolves are both swift on land and in the air. These wolves have larger lungs and can fly to extremely high altitudes. They also have eagle-like vision except in darkness.
Power: Those gifted with the power of Eurus possess the ability to manipulate wind by making it stronger/weaker. They can control the flow of the wind currents and the strength they possess. They also can shape how the current is formed along with the density and strength of it. They can produce their own wind due to their wings, and this is especially helpful if it's not windy outside.
The Gift Of Terra
The wolves gifted with the powers of Terra or earth. They have thicker hide to make it more difficult to cut through skin. They naturally possess more muscle, and often have sharp,rock-like spines lining their backs for extra defense. These wolves are more earthy in coloration, and may appear like a "normal" wolf except for size.
Power: Earth wolves can create miniature earthquakes
The Gift of Alitura
The wolves gifted with the powers of Alitura or nature. These wolves have horns and/or wings (Wings always being butterfly or feathered wings). They are quicker to heal than other wolves and seem to have a natural connection with nature as they tend to grow sick and frail if torn apart from nature.
Power: Nature wolves can bring plants back to life given the will.
The Gift of Gelu
The wolves gifted with the powers of Gelu or ice. These wolves have an extra layer of fur and thicker pelts to help them survive the cold. They have horns, but very rarely wings, and they'll always be white with some sort of frost-like spikes at the ends of the wings that match their claws. Their fur is ice-cold to the touch, but manages to keep them warm anyway (Suggesting the underside is warmer than the outer coat)
Power: Ice wolves can freeze things over completely using their own paws and will.
The Gift of Venenum
The wolves gifted with the powers or poison. Saliva is lined with toxins poisonous to all other wolves, they have long fangs that are retractable, much similar to a king cobra.
Power: Poison wolves are able to shoot venom from these fangs and can move them at will.
The Gift of Luxem
The wolves gifted with the powers of Luxem or light. Appear as normal wolves aside from their brightly glowing eyes and are able to light their way with balls of condensed energy.
Power: Energy wolves are able to cause damage and battle with this condensed energy.
The Gift of Aevum and Horita
The wolves gifted with the powers of Time/Prophecy. Typically pale in color and sometimes have tribal-like markings in their fur, they are able to see short glimpses of the NEAR future.
Power: Vision wolves are able to see further into the future for longer periods of time.
The Gift of Nebula
The wolves gifted with the powers of Nebula or mist/gas. Pelts are comprised of dull or dark colors and these wolves are able to generate smoke at will.
Power: Fog wolves can produce smoke with a sleeping affect.
