Canis deius vulcanis
The Physicalities
Endymion has the typical Canis deius build of his element type. Supposedly, Endymion is supposed to be part of the fire sector. He stands at a height of 45"" at the shoulder, a tad smaller than Magi his age. Paws stretch 5"" across, each toe tipped with black nails. He has some muscular build, barely visible through his thick coat of fur.
Interestingly, Canis deius wolves are incredibly susceptible to genetic mutations, and Endymion is no exception. His claws are retractable.
Wolves of these species are meant to have bold, contrasting colors to display their magical prowess. Everything from their ears to their body to their eyes has some form of coloring. With lineages they claim come from the gods, Vulcan wolves take great pride in their colors and their variable abilities.
Endymion has none of that. Vulcan wolf fur is enhanced by magic and doesn't fare well without. His fur is uneven, unimpressive, and dulled further by its uninteresting shades of grey. Earthlings would call it a ""natural wolf gray"". His back is a speckled with dark gray hairs. It appears patchy, as if he's constantly moulting, leaving Endy sensitive to snide remarks regarding his fur.
His eyes are about the only source of color on his entire being. They shine a bold amber-gold.
The Mentalities
Endymion is very much a "Me, Myself, and I" guy. As a result, he comes off as impatient and arrogant. While he is physically capable, internally, he fights a war of insecurity and shame. Ashamed that he was a failure to his parents, ashamed of his childhood, and ashamed he has to be ashamed. And this constant negativity backfires onto those around him.
Growing up, he always looked after himself. Negligent parents, ashamed of their offspring, shunned him once he was weaned. It was their responsibility to make sure he could take care of himself. After that, they were done. Along with the abuses he suffered from the other cubs, it was only natural he withdrew into himself. The only one he could count on was himself.
Without the pack, Endymion had to focus on developing his own style. He is an excellent strategist, with the persistence and focus to keep propelling himself forward. Unfortunately, his teamwork could use a little polishing.
