Luna looked over as she saw the life leaving Nicco's eyes. Tears filled her own as she tried nudging Amaru to wake up, though it was useless. He was already gone. Her ears lowered before she let out a sharp, sorrow filled howl, alerting the pack that there was a death to be mourned. Not even a moment later, a couple of her packs warriors came over and saw Luna crouched by Amaru. One saw Nicco's lifeless body, and assumed he had something to do with it since Luna didnt seem to be upset over him. "Alpha, let us take his body back to the camp" he offered before he looked at another warrior. "Take that filth and drag him outside pack territory" he ordered, motioning to Nicco.

Hondo released his death grip on Nicco, and licked the blood still swelling from hus wounds off his muzzle. He bent down and nuzzled Amaru's fur, "Thank you, for giving your life for our new beginning." He whispered. He gave a respectful bow, nd turned to Luna. He gave her neck and affectionate and mourning nuzzle. "He'll never attack us again." He said pointing to Nicco's body. "I'm sorry for loss." He added, giving a respectful bow towards Amaru.

Luna leaned into Hondo as she allowed her tears to fall. "Had you not ended him, he would have been exiled" she said glancing at Nicco. While she didnt like that they lost two pack members, one had to go without issue, but the other... Who would they pick as beta now? She wasnt sure she trusted Fighter, not with how Hondo talked about him. "The pack wont be happy with Amaru's loss, but he died with honor, and thats what matters" she said as she followed her packmates who carefully carried Amaru back to the camp. She could hear the distateful words the others had with Nicco. He hadnt really ever gotten along with the pack, and why her father picked Nicco, she wouldnt understand.

Hondo allowed her to lean on him, feeling her tears fall on his brindle pelt. Even though he hadnt known the Beta, it still took a chunk of his heart with him. It was his fault the Beta was dead, had he not come to the pack, Amuru would be alive and well. "Luna," he said, "Its my fault he's dead, had I never come. He would be alive." He finished and hung his head. It was his fault. All his fault.

Luna shook her head. "It's mine. Had I not rejected him, and took him on as my mate... That's what Nicco wanted, was to be an alpha with me, to take over the pack. Because I told him I didnt want him as a mate, that's what angered him. He's acted out before I even met you" she told him. "I wanted to exile him a while ago, but couldnt as he hadnt broken any pack laws." She let out a sigh as she lowered her head. "Amaru knew what he was doing, and I couldnt have been more proud to have him as my beta."

He still didnt totally believe her. He knew she was trying g to not make him blame himself, but it was no use. Now, as recently apointted Alpha Male, e would yet again have to make the choice for Beta. He knew Fighter could not be Beta, as then he would attempt to take over, as he had tried before. He looked Luna in the eyes. "He was an amazing Beta, but now we have the choice, who should be the next Beta? It certaibly cannot be Fighter." He asked. "Any wolves you have that would make a great Beta?"

Nicco had ruined the plan. He was supposed to kill Hondo, so he could take over. But that nasty rat of a Beta foiled it. And now both Am.. I cant even think his name, and Nicco are dead. Fighter thought. "I guess I have to take over now." He mumbled to himself with a sly smile. "Hondo will die."

Luna thought for a moment. Hondo was right, a new beta was needed, and soon. "Fang" she replied. "He can be hot headed sometimes, but he is a good wolf" she added. "He's proven himself a few times over, and doesnt tolorate fights within the pack." She wasnt sure he was the best fit, but at least for now, he would be. Once they reached the camp, Luna let out a howl, calling the pack to meet up. "Nicco is dead, and so is Amaru" she told them. "Nicco killed Amaru in an attempt to kill me. That being said, there will be no mouring for Nicco, but mourning for Amaru, for giving his life to keep me safe. In addition, a new beta will be appointed. Fang, come forward" she said. As she watched the male make his way forward, she saw the look of surprise on his face. "Do you promise to keep not only your alpha's, but the pack safe as well" she asked. Fang nodded. "I promise, on my life, Alpha" he said with a bow. Luna nodded in return. "Fang is our new beta!"

Hondo nodded and respectfully bowed as Fang made his way up to the den. He whispered a congrats as Fang moved back to where he had been sitting. He scanned the area for Fighter, and he had saw him, head held proudly before he heard Fang be called instead of him. The male gave Hondo a murderous stare, and a clear growl before walking over to his den. Where he still stared at him. He knew Nicco and Fighter were conspirators, but to what level. He gave Luna an anxious nudge and turned back into the den. Once they were in the den, he looked her in the eyes and said: "Fighter is going to try and kill us, I'm sure of it."

Luna dismissed the pack before she followed Hondo into the den. "How do you know" she asked, slight fear showing in her eyes. "If that's true, we need to exile him, make sure he doesnt do anything to anyone." She paced within the den, breathing frantically before she nearly collapsed from her leg injury Nicco gave her. She hadnt had a chance yet to get it looked at, and was distracted by the loss of Amaru to not pay attention to it.

"I just know it. They were co-conspirators. But he hasnt done anything wrong. We cant exile him." He saw her pace and nearly collaspe. "Woah woah woah, you need to rest." He said, getting next to her to steady her. "But I know he will, its just a matter of time." He looked towards the Delta's den, only to find it empty. "He's on the move. I dont know if he would kill you. But I know he is after me." He looked back into Luna's eyes. "Dont worry. I will give my life to protect you, my love."
