Emelote was about to turn around and leave when a motion caught her eyes. The Mask had gotten to his feet and was on the move. Patrolling the square. A smirk echoes on her face and she waits in the shadows, completely visible, not fading into the shadows. As soon as the Mask got close enough she called out,"Hey! Punk!" Emelote was ready, she was going to taunt and harass this Mask, after all she knew he was the main reason behind the Guild bust. Of course, Emelote wouldn't pass up the chance to taunt and use her magic on any Mask, but she held a personal grudge against this Mask, especially after watching him handle Ryan.

Joshua was enjoying the buzz of finally getting a measure of respect from the citizens that he was sworn to protect, but a call out to him ruined the mood. "Hey! Punk!" He heard a voice call out to him, and with a heavy sigh he turned towards where the voice was coming from, but he was stunned into silence as to who was talking to him. It... it's the girl! She's so bold as to try to taunt me mere hours after I busted her Guild? At first he wanted to take her down right away, but instead he wanted to go along with it just to see what she was capable of. She was alone, so was she capable of serious damage? Maybe, if she was the one in fact that blinded the market before, but Joshua was willing to take a risk and play along for the time being. He turned around, almost as if she was talking about someone else before turning to her. "Is something wrong? I heard you calling out for someone." He said, acting oblivious.

Emelote takes a step out of the shadows, with no real threat from the Mask or any of the civilians, she had no need to hide. Besides, the shadows weren't her only weapon. Emelote's eyes gleam with mischievous for a moment then it flickers away. "So, you're the Mask who busted the Guild." Emelote inclines her head,"Well done." Emelote pauses,"Too bad you didn't even capture the Guild members that caused the most trouble." Emelote was taunting him, well trying to, she was trying to make it seem like there were more Guild members out there that had escaped like her. And actually, there was a great possibly that some others escaped too. There were secret exits all of the Guild's hideout and before Emelote had slipped out she hadn't actually seen all of the Guild gathered.

Joshua was a bit surprised when he heard the girl openly say that he was the one who busted the Thieves' Guild. So she knows I'm the main reason why... well that's just great. But how? She has no idea what I look like underneath the mask, so how can she tell? He was slowly starting to think that this girl had quite a bit more than she was letting on, so a hint of nervousness was placed in the back of his mind, but he was willing to play some more. "That is a shame... there's someone within the Guild that we think is capable of some serious magic." He stops for a moment and feigns a brief ephiphany. "You said that there are still members out there that causes trouble. Do you... know anything about them? Anything that we could use to bring them in?" Underneath the mask he had a smirk on his face. The longer he talked to the girl, the more about her face he was able to memorize, and the more he would be able to have put on a wanted poster.

A ghost of a smirk flickers across her face,"Magic? Hmm? Magic comes from elves, and as far as I know there are no elves in Cille." Emelote raises an eyebrow,"Even if I did you, why would I tell you? Do I look like someone who betray their Guild?" Emelote's eyes harden,"I will avenge them though, don't think the Masks are safe from anything. Magic or not." Emelote's voice had taken a dangerous edge, thief or not she was loyal to a fault. To Ryan, who had saved her so long ago. To the man who had been a father to her, when her own father had returned to his homelands leaving her mother to face the consequences. Edited at April 9, 2022 01:34 PM by Dagger Pack

"Oh... so you aren't willing to snitch? And from the sounds of it, you just outed yourself." He took a step towards her. "You said that you will avenge the Guild because we were able to find their hideout and bring them down, instead of saying would. Unless that was a slip of the tongue, I'm staring at a gotaway." Without another word he grabbed her and tried to lift her off her feet, getting the advantage by not giving her a chance of running off. "You're under arrest for collaborating with the Guild and aiding the escape of known criminals!" He said, giving his charge and discouraging anyone near by to intervene.

Emelote laughs,"So? What can you do to me?" Emelote stands still as he moves closer,"I said I would avenge the Guild, and yeah you could say I'm a getaway. But I'm not the only one." Emelote allows the Mask to step forward and grab her, a smirk playing across her face. "Oh no, I'm so scared." Emelote reaches back so her hand was in the shadow, her blue eyes turning golden,"Enjoy explaining to your superior what happened here today." Then Emelote was gone, faded into the shadows, still thick enough in the early light of the morning to provide Emelote a perfect escape to a nearby roof. Emelote waves at the Mask,"I'll see you around." Then Emelote lifts her hand up and a large shape comes swooping down. Anviva lets out a powerful screech as she lands. Then Emelote's eyes glow and the two were gone.

Joshua could only stare as Emolete disappears from his grasp and rushed to a rooftop before disappearing, leaving him baffled at how he, or anyone else within the Masks, would be able to take her down thanks to her magic. She doesn't even realize that I now know enough of what her face looks like. Without waiting for another second he went straight to the guardhouse and told the officer there to circulate a wanted poster for Emelote, giving all the details of her face that he could along with the fact that there was a phoenix under her command and that she can use magic to make herself disappear. He left with a grin on his face and revenge slowly growing within his mind. She doesn't even realize that she'll either be forced to leave or thrown behind bars. How foolish.

Emelote hums as she reappears in a whole different section of town, away from town square and away from the Guild's hideout where surely Masks were still guarding. Emelote actually found herself on the outskirts of the kingdom, her gaze fixed on the horizon, where according to her mother... About a week's travel South was the elven city that her father came from. And once again, Emelote found herself wondering who her father was and if he missed her. Emelote sighs as she reaches up to pet Anivia,"I wonder how long it'll take before the wanted posters pop up?" Anivia lets out a small screech and Emelote chuckles,"You're right, I'd say by tonight." Emelote's eyes gleam slightly,"That's one way to spice up the life of a thief." Anivia nuzzles against Emelote's head and Emelote sighs,"Would it be easier to just leave town? Head for the elven city? Perhaps I could find my father and join the elves."
Anivia lets out a keening noise and Emelote's free hand drifts to her sword scabbard, where Hellfire rested. "Wistful thinking my dear. Let's head back to town, wanted poster or not, this is still my home and they can't bring me in. As long as the shadows are around.." Emelote hums to herself as she starts back towards Cille, Anivia balancing on her shoulder, as Emelote pulls her hood up hiding her face. Then came the fabric that covered the mouth.

In a matter of only a few hours several wanted posters were set up all over town, so now everyone who payed attention to the posters would know who Emelote was. And, with a generous offer of money for giving information that led to her capture, Joshua was confident that someone would tip them off some enough and she would be behind bars for good this time, but holding her in said cell would be a whole other thing to deal with, thanks to her magic. But that was another problem for another time; right now they needed to keep an eye out for her or anyone else that was breaking the law. Just becuase the Guild was no more didn't mean that another group wouldn't simply move in and take over the place in the Guild's abscence.
