She fell asleep right through dinner time into the next morning, Monday. Not the best day for school students from what she remembered form her last relationship she was in. But that aside, she was glad she didnt have to do anything but stay in the house and stay cool. Maybe do some laundry. A lot of it. She sat up on her bed, checking through her messages and to see if Sam texted her. Nope. But her father did... and it wasnt good. One of the members got caught he had said and in jail. SInce today was a Monday, she dressed in shorts, and black top, showing her neck tattoo to the world as usual, and warm fuzzy socks so her feet stayed warm in the cool house. Making breakfast after that and then starting her laundry not too soon after. She only texted Sam saying that she was just at home doing nothing. And wished that his exam went well. Other than that, she let him be.

Sam woke early the next day to his father jumping around and singing downstairs. He rolled his eyes, groaning as he swung his legs round to the side of the bed, sitting up and yawning tiredly. He walked sluggishly down the stairs and looked at his father expectantly. "I got one!" His father cheered, laughing like a maniac and pulling Sam into a hug. "I got one of the gang members! I can't believe it," he laughed and let go of Sam.
Sam just grinned at him. "Well done dad, that's an achievement," he congratulated his father, patting him on the back and walking into the kitchen to make a coffee. His exam was at 1pm, so he had enough time. His father sighed with relief, sitting down on the couch. "Coffee?" Sam questioned and his father nodded in response. He began to make the coffee for the pair, having a conversation about how he managed to arrest a gang member and what was going to happen next. Eventually, it was time for Sam to do his exam. He walked into the university and waited outside of the exam hall, hearing a buzz coming from his pocket. It was Valerii. He grinned slightly. "Thank you," he replied, before handing his phone to the exam coordinator and walking into the exam hall, sitting down and beginning.

Valerii sighed as she heard her father walk in, literally slamming the oak doors "Damn it that ass...that policeman is on my VERY last nerve. Its in the news now" he mumbled, as he made a cup of coffee just as Val walked down, smiling happily but then turned it into a worried face "come on dad. at least its not you in his position. Right? They want you, no one else. At least thats what I heard you say last time." she kissed his cheek "also, good morning to you too. "Oh honey, dont do that.. stop smiling like you have something plan-" he paused as her head turned and she smirked " Ive been a very good behaved girl, dad. stop worrying about me and my well being. I know how to handle and protect myself if and when something comes my way." she chuckled, grabbing her coffee and followed her father to the same old couch where the tv was. " tell me you not falling for all this crap, Val. I dont want you in trouble... or worse, in jail. What if someone finds out about your identity?" She didnt answer him. She knew what she was doing. " Dont worry about me. I'll rough any one up if they come too close to me." except for Sam she thought. he can come near me all he wants. Edited at August 26, 2023 01:18 PM by Queen Elsa

Sam found the exam very hard, as was expected. But as he left the exam hall, he felt positive that the medical exam went well. He spoke to a few other students about the harder questions before leaving the university building. He said his farewells to a few before getting into his car, turning on the engine and driving off to the local coffee shop. The same one he met Valerii in. He decided to treat himself to a bagel and some coffee, as a celebration for actually finishing his exam. He pulled up outside, getting out of the car locking it securely. Sam entered the shop, glancing around just incase he saw Valerii there. No sign of her. He sighed in secret disappointment and walked up to the counter, ordering.

" Hey dad.... want anything from the cafe? I can get it and rush back here if you need me." He nodded " blueberry muffin and Chai tea would be great. After the news I got, it would help to forget about it. No need to come back for a while though. Stay there all you want, but make sure to get those items for me before you leave" She nodded, grabbed her house key, a book, her phone and her wallet before walking to the cafe where she met Sam for the first time. And spilling her drink al over him. The memory made her chuckle and blush slightly. Today has to be one of my best moods she thought. WOndering if Sam would be there. And when she got there, no sign of him. Or so she thought. She headed in, pretending to go to the front, passing Sam in the prosses, looking unrecognizable in her shorts and back tank. her hair hiding the tattoo as she grabbed her book and sat in a couch, her back to him. She texted him Wanna go to the cafe and chat? I dont have to go anywhere til tonight.

Sam didn't recognise her as she strolled past him as he waited for his order. He was glancing down at his phone, scrolling aimlessly through Instagram when he saw her message come at the top of his screen. A small frown, displaying confusion spread across his face. "I'm already at the cafe," he replied, not thinking that she would be there too. He pushed his phone into his pocket and thanked the barista, taking his items and setting them down on a table nearby. He sat down on the cold chair, running a hand through his hair as he sighed softly. Sam was wearing some loose running shorts and a fairly tight fitting top that complimented his muscles rather well. He was a broad guy, as well as being extremely tall. He sipped on his coffee, failing to look up and recognise Valerii close by.

Im here too, Sam she smirked, trying to contain herself. She leaned back, letting out a sigh, takign her book out and opened it to the last page she read. Hoping he would actually look around. Do I have to get his attention again? she thought as she stood back up, and went to the front to order " The usual please" and payed in cash this time before looking at Sam quickly. before sitting back down in her spot, her back still towards him. Now there were other people in her area but she wanted to test him and have him go to her. How did the exam go? And yes im sitting down somewhere. Come find me. Then added a little heat to the text and sent it.

Another confused expression played on Sam's face as he saw her message. She's here? He bit his lip nervously, scratching his head before raising his head to look for her. Eventually, he spotted her hair from the back and grinned mischievously. He stood up from his chair, taking his coffee and bagel and walking over to her. Sam gently reached out, placing a soft hand on her upper back. "Hey," he grumbled, barely above a whisper and he sat down in the chair opposite her. He placed his items down and gave her a small smirk.

" Oh lord thought you'd never find me in this. I was trying so hard to blend in" she mused and smirked back at him after feeling his rather warm hand on her back. first time he touched me today. Not a bad start she said to herself, looking at him smirking back at her " Why sit over there when you could be sitting right beside me... didnt keep this spot warm for nothin, Sam" she scooted over just as her food was ready " Can I also have a to-go? A blueberry muffin and a Chai tea? I'll grab it before I leave. " She rolled her eyes before blushing hard the more she saw him look at her "What? Is something on my face?"

Sam chuckled silently as she spoke. She was a very confident girl. He liked it. A lot. He just got up, sitting down next to her without saying a word. His bare leg lightly brushed across hers as he sat down, scratching his head and looking over to her. His eyebrows raised as she spoke again. "Nothing, can't I look at you?" He questioned, grabbing his coffee cup and taking a small sip. Sam placed his cup back down, before returning his gaze back over to her. His piercing blue eyes made contact with hers as he leaned back in his chair, exposing a small portion of his hard rock abs. "How've you been?" He asked nonchalantly as he remained eye contact with her.
