Emelote narrows her eyes, sighing. Anviva lets a gentle screech in Emelote's ear and she quietly admits defeat. Emelote slips through the shadows, jumping from the shadows of the hideout to the alleyway and from there Emelote was free. Emelote continues on, hidden by the shadows until she was far enough away. Emelote makes her way to the top of a building, sitting down as she slips out the shadows. Sighing, her entire life had just crumbled beneath her. The Guild, her family, had been taken from her. No way could she break them out herself, so what in the world would she do now?

Finally the last members of the Guild were shuffled out and the place was cleaned out, any and all items of value being taken away. Once all was said and done Joshua breathed a sigh of relief, walking out of the building with a sense of overwhelming pride. I can't believe it... I found the Guild's hideout and took it out! A giant smile was beaming underneath his mask all the way back to the guard barracks, with a few other Masks giving him props for the huge bust. Once everyone was back at the barracks the captain stood in front of everyone as Joshua was by his side. The captain gave a rousing speech, congratulating everyone for the good work that they did before turning to Joshua and telling him that he did a great service by busting the Thieves' Guild. He nodded in response and the captain conitnued on for a little while longer before dismissing everyone, allowing Joshua to return to his quarters in peace where he lied on his bed, still giddy with pride.

Emelote sighs, before anger bubbled back inside her. She would make the Masks pay. Perhaps even taunt and torture them until they released the Masks. Surely even the legendary Masks would realize without the Guild they'd be a lot more bored now. The Guild was the number one crime in the kingdom. A new light comes in Emelote's eyes as she pets Anviva, if the Masks refused to let the Guild go. Maybe she could target the king, her magic would get her straight to the king as long as there was plenty of shadows that led straight to him.
(Sorry it's short, shall we skip to the next day?)

(Done!) It was the next morning, and Joshua was still happy as could be. The word of the Guild being busted and the biggest threat of the kingdom no longer present had spread throughout the night, and now the citizens seemed to give the Masks some measure of respect, which Joshua was more than welcoming to receive. He walked from his quarters to the main area, but he was definitely not expecting the captain there. "I want to see you. Come with me" was all he said, and Joshua gave a simple nod before following the captain to his quarters, however one look at a particular something on his desk told Joshua everything he needed to know. "For your constant efforts in upholding the law and your pivotal role in bringing down the Thieves' Guild, you have been honored with a special Mask." The captain held up the mask and handed it to Joshua. Joshua knew that a personalized Mask was an incredibly rare honor that only high ranking members had a personalized Mask. "Does this mean I've been promoted?" He asked the captain, who returned the question with a shake of the head. "Not quite, but keep it up and it will come soon enough." Joshua nodded in defeat before putting on the new Mask, which was white with a red and gold stripe running along the top. It wasn't much of a difference, but for Joshua it meant the world.

Emelote slept on the roof that night, Anviva keeping watch for her. Emelote stirred early the next, long before the sun was even up. Emelote drops from the roof, landing gently and quietly on her feet, Anivia taking off into the sky. The phoenix would return at Emelote's call. Emelote moves through the quiet and dark streets of the town. It was kind of eerie, but the dark and emptiness of the town held no fear in Emelote. She would see if she could find food, she had some money on her, but she was more use to stealing. Emelote finds a suitable house, and lock picks the entrance, slipping inside quietly. Slinking through the shadows, she finds a food supply and begins to raid it. Taking just enough.

Joshua strolled out of the captain's quarters, happy as could be and ready for another day of patrolling. Probably going to be a rather easy day for me since no one would be willing to try anything since the Guild was just taken down... yeah it's good to be me! He was on cloud nine as he hit the streets, containing his excitement and happiness somewhat but let it shine a tad bit when he had to talk to any civilians. Sure he may have been just doing his job, but now that the Guild, and hopefully that annoying girl as well, were behind him, he felt like a million pounds lighter and much less anxious.

Emelote slips out of the house just as the family begins to wake. Her actions would not be pinned on her, and even if they were, she didn't care. Let the Masks come, she wanted payback for what had happened the night before. Emelote glances at the sky, wondering how close Anviva was, before she pulls her hood up, covering her face and starting through town. Just sort of wandering around as people began to appear, their days starting. Though people couldn't see Emelote's face, they kept a decent space away from her. Her aura radiating enough emotion to keep the people wary and away from her. Emelote sighs, she was so bored now! It would be no fun raiding and stealing if she didn't have a team to do it with!

It was strange in regards to the atmoshpere of the street now. No one seemed to really be doing anything with the Masks; no heckling, no talking, no tossing stones... nothing. It's almost as if the civilians weren't sure what to think of the Masks now, which Joshua was fine with, since he wouldn't be bothered nearly as much. He moved through the streets with little effort, people giving him his due space to patrol, a luxury he rarely was able to enjoy before now, and he was going to take full advantage of this sudden opportunity. This is a strange form of bliss... never expected for a bit of personal space to be this rewarding as a Mask. He loosened up a bit more and moved to the town square before taking a seat and looking at everyone milling about, wondering if anyone would be willing to take a shot at him.

Emelote enters town square, still lost in her thoughts as her gaze skims the crowd. Suddenly she goes stiff as her gaze lands on a Mask. His mask was special, and different from the others, but there was no doubt who it was. Emelote could read his aura even from where she was. Emelote narrows her eyes, did she dare provoke the Mask here? In the middle of town? With so many people around? Would the townspeople support her? Probably not, especially when they found out she was a half elf magic wielder. Emelote sighs, taking a step back away into the shadows. She would leave the Mask alone, for now.

Joshua sat down for only a few minutes before getting up once again, deciding to patrol the town square for the time being, seeing that there were no other Masks in the area with him. But even though he was all alone, no one seemed to be willing to pull anything. Apparently the Guild being taken down has caused more waves than I thought. Thank goodness things are calming down a little bit, because it was getting rather rough, and it would only get worse given enough time. Joshua did hear the rumors that the Guild was funding and equipping individuals who were rebelling against the king, which was something that could turn into a full blown civil war, and he did not want to fight a war.
