Sundew slightly cocked her head not understanding completely. By now she just assumed most things were strange here. "Ok" she finally said.

"Do you not understand how a clan works?" I asked her confused at why she seemed puzzled.

Sundew shook her head " No, in the wild mothers care for their eggs and hatchlings sometimes if their abandoned another female might take them but it's rare. Dragons hunt for themselves, we have territorys. Most of the time we're hostile to strange dragons and that's just the beginning."

"Oh back when the colony I'm a part of was new and migrating to find a new place to live, after the mountain they lived in turned out to be a dormant volcano; They had to move because it was becoming active. The leader in the past made a deal with the humans. Where we are originally from Clans are quite common, most dragons live in them actually. But we flew over oceans to get here if I remember history correctly. I know it's rare to see a clan here but I didn't know it was that rare and uncommon." I said explaining things

" hmm... " Sundew said trying to understand well mostly pretending. Surely a volcano wasn't that bad it erupts somethings burn the n life goes back to normal. If it was a bit explosion then migration might be the answer... But it wasn't a bit real right?

I watched her while she just stood there and decided to rotate the eggs. I stood up to rotate all 15, it was going to be a hassle but I knew I could do it, I had to brood 12 last time. Most females in the wild couldn't lay this many due to not having enough nutrients and because of nature. While here everything is handed to us so we have abnormally large clutches.

"Sooo..." Sundew said uncertainty scraping her claws on the stone

I sat back down covering up the eggs with my wings to trap the heat under me. "Do you have any questions?" I asked

"No not really" sundew replied . Shifting her talons around.

"Well, I'm here to answer them if you start getting curious." I paused "I know I'm young to be raising hatchlings but I love it, I have high maternal instincts. In fact, this is my third brood, my last brood contained a clutch of 10 eggs.
