Callisto listened patiently to the brighter version of what they could do, he held good points. They did in fact appear like normal sacrifices, the only issue is they normally sent two at a time. Four would be a large presence entering the hotel which would most certainly peak Veles’s interest. Perhaps not enough to make him come looking, but enough to make him aware to something unusual. Lily was hovering in the kitchen, letting her eyes move from one person to the next as they spoke. Alma’s direct question basically cut Lily from the conversation and she felt her heart rate increase as she realised what she wanted them to do. With a slightly nervous glance towards Finn, she began making her way over to the bed and balanced herself on the very edge. “If Veles realises what we are doing before we have a chance to regain ourselves after we arrive, he will kill us without any issues.” He put bluntly. “On the off chance he does immediately come looking for us, the best thing to do is run into the rooms and lock the doors. It does not matter which or if we are together, just that he does not see us. If he sees any of us three, our plan is ruined.” Lily lay herself back onto the bed, her face scrunched up with worry as she listened to the pair across the room talking. It was laying the foundations of a panic attack in her lungs, tightening her chest. Trying her best to remain level-headed, she stared up at the ceiling with heavy focus, controlling her breathing took all of her attention.

Finn shook his head lightly and laid down with a small sigh. He managed to give Lily a weary smile in return, extending his hand out for her to take. If they already knew... it didn't make much sense to hide it anymore. Why bother skirting around the whole thing when they could just... sleep better now? "It's going to be fine," Finn whispered quietly, taking her hand in his own with a gentle squeeze. "We're all going to figure this out." Alma tipped her head lightly, thinking to herself. "But, if he sees me, it won't be ruined. But I will be in danger," she mused quietly, fingers tapping on the table. Her brown eyes scanned the map. "Where are your daggers? Which room were they left in?" That would at least give her an idea of what room to look for. But the museum had a few other weapons they could potentially use. They were small, easy to hide and hopefully would be better than nothing. One of which was a sling--the old fashion type. Just a piece of leather, a small pouch in the middle. Unlike most people who assumed it required swinging in a circle... Alma knew how to use it and use it well. She'd grab the obsidian dagger and the sling from the museum.

Lily blinked quickly and tilted her head to the side to look over at Finn as his hand found hers, the firm pressure grounding her a little better into the moment. She offered him a weary smile in return, thankful that the height of his wing blocked her view of the kitchen enough to pretend that there was no one there. Doing her best not to disrupt the bed too much, Lily turned onto her side to face him but kept her hand secured with his. Drawing it up towards herself a little closer under her jaw. “I mean what I said, you aren’t allowed to pull any self-sacrificing stunts.” She chided softly, but she was serious beneath the gentle teasing. Her thumb glided over the skin on Finn’s knuckle, a grazing touch rather than anything with pressure. Callisto gave a small sigh, thinking for a moment. “We were in a room, the only issue is we had locked it. When Xevon did whatever he did, we were sent here from within that room. It is still locked with everything inside. But that should not be a problem because I can just go through the-” His eyebrows scrunched together as he realised he could no longer drift through walls. “..I cannot go through the wall.” He finished, leaning backwards and letting his hands fall into his lap. “Someone will have to break the door.” Callisto returned his attention to Alma, ignoring the murmurings from across the room. Finn gave her a weary smile as she turned to face him. Her words echoed lightly in his head before he nodded minutely. "I know," he whispered quietly, his heart twisting in his chest. "I'm not going to do anything stupid. I promise." As... much as he could promise. Alma nodded slowly before tipping her head forward. "Locked doors are nothing compared to brute force. I'll give you a hint, I wasn't hired on as a museum worker. I was hired on here as security. Some teens try and steal something, head to the bathroom and try and get out the window? Best believe that door is getting opened and opened quick. Break the door, get the daggers, go across the hall and into the room across from it where the door isn't broken." That particular room would likely never be a safety any more after that but, ideally, the room wouldn't even exist after that. Alma tapped her chin for a few moments, looking up at the ceiling. Her thoughts had shifted slightly. How on earth was she going to fit four young adults in one house? Let alone... this small thing? "I'll have to .... hm..." she mused quietly. "If I do go back into security, then I should make more money and can afford a better house. I'd like you four to go into college or a trade, whichever, so that you're well enough off."

Lily returned his smile for a long moment, deciding if she wanted to do what her brain was asking her to do. Her eyes flickered down to where she was holding his hand, then down his arm. Her hand was still holding his, just firm enough to be noticeable. A little hesitantly, she lifted her eyes back up to meet Finn’s before she spoke. “This sounds silly..but can I sleep closer to you?” Lily’s voice was barely above a whisper, a small matching smile to go with it. Callisto cocked his head to the side, security for the museum, that made his eyes turn to roam over Alma’s figure. Trying to deduce if he could have picked that occupation if he had been trying, deciding that he likely would not have, he brought his attention back to her. “College? He inquired with a raised eyebrow, then he paused and blinked slowly. She was implying that they would all remain together after they returned. The thought confused him briefly, Finn and Lily were sort of a given, but himself and Xevon were strangers. Further than that, Callisto was the reason Veles had such a strong grip on that group of people. “I doubt they would let you pay for all that.” Callisto offered a glance towards the pair on the bed, that and he would not let her pay for all of that either. Alma is a little delusional if she thought that she would be the only one fronting the costs of housing four grown people, then providing for herself on top of that.

Finn shook his head lightly, pulling her closer to him as he shuffled forward as well. "Not silly at all," he whispered quietly. "I wouldn't mind either." He was already starting to doze off, having a hard time staying awake long enough so that he could hear her fall asleep first. But he couldn't lie, lying down let a great deal of pressure off of his back and that relief was blissful. Alma nodded briefly, determining that she was good with what she was planning. It was a good plan, she determined. One that felt good enough. Until Callisto spoke again. "Oh yes, college. It's like smaller versions of Harvard or Yale," she explained lightly, "or a trade school. Sometimes, it can be a bit expensive--well... hang on," she paused for a moment or two before waving her hand, "well, we'll figure it out when it comes to it. Those two at least will be going to school. You two... well..." she tapped the table with her fingers again. "I don't know how your social security and legalities are going to work in that sense. We may have to look into that... hm..." Technically... well... no. That wouldn't work either. Xevon's accent--if Finn was correct--wouldn't be able to get him to pass as a foreign citizen getting citizenship in the U.S. without raising eyebrows. Callisto... well... he had come from the eighteen hundreds and Alma wasn't entirely sure if he still had... everything document-wise. Suddenly, it was a lot more difficult, technicality wise, than before.

A small muffled sound came from her as she was pulled closer, she didn’t need to shift herself any closer now that Finn had moved the both of them. Her eyes flicked over his features before dipped down to look in the small gap between them, a hint of colour reigniting across her cheeks before Lily forced her eyes closed. Instead focusing on the warmth radiating from Finn, she knew he was there. With the sound of the pair in the kitchen, it took Lily a little longer to feel the languid pull of sleep again. Once it came, she fell quickly into sleep, welcoming the quiet that it brought along with it, listening to the steady breathing coming from Finntello. Callisto cocked an eyebrow at all the words coming from Alma, a social security number? This was going to be harder to adjust to the more he learned about the progression of the world. Although it would be pleasant to blend into society again, he didn’t necessarily need a permanent home if things didn’t work out. He could wander the streets as a regular stray cat, but the issue of Xevon threw a spanner in the works. He had to figure out how to blend in then, if Xevon was going to have to have some kind of income for a home, then it looked like Callisto had to as well. “You are saying words that make no sense to me, but I will let you ruminate on whatever issue you just thought of.” He conceded. “I think..focusing on tonight is the best thing to do. We can concern ourselves for what comes after when the after happens.” Callisto spoke slowly, trying to hint towards what he was actually trying to imply. If one or more of them succumbed to Veles, they would not have an after to enjoy. Perhaps Alma would have enough room.

Alma shook her head lightly, giving him a rather pointed look in return. Her brown eyes were focused on the young man for a moment before she sighed. While he wasn't inherently wrong, she didn't like to think about that either. There was the chance that one or more of them wouldn't come back at all. Then what? A funeral wasn't what she wanted to plan. So she wouldn't. She would make sure all of them made it out--even if it required finding and threatening the other gods that Veles had abandoned. She would have all four of them alive, safe and under her wings--metaphorically. The woman inclined her head lightly. "Tell me about these daggers," she finally changed the subject back towards the hotel and the plan of the night. "Can I hold both at the same time or is that ill-advised?" She turned to the paper, writing down her own notes. "If the--well, you probably wouldn't know. I'd assume that the hotel is in his realm, a special area for gods. So, if he dies. Does the hotel stick around or does it fade?" If it did fade... where would they go? Was there another exit that they could potentially find? Or was there going to be an entirely different issue? She shook her head clear of the thoughts.

Callisto glanced down to watch her hands as she began gathering up her paper to scribble down on as she ran through her line of questioning. With a soft sigh, the man leaned forwards onto the table and rested his head in his palm lazily. “The daggers, no do not use both together unless you have a death wish.” His answer was simple enough. “They are imbued with the emotion the wielder possesses, more Xevon’s forte than my own. Finn found out the hard way, you cannot remove them from a target with the same emotion still in you. For example, if you were to attack Veles then you would be angry, obviously, but then if the dagger gets lodged in him, you cannot use anger to get it out.” Callisto met her gaze and gave a small shrug. “Yeah, I have no idea why they are like that, it is just how they are.” “If he dies, what happens to the hotel is unknown to me. He can leave to visit the living world and it did not fade from existence, I do not know how he is entangled with it entirely. He controls it, but as for if the hotel existed before him or because of him, I could not tell you.” Callisto leaned back, giving a wave of his hand in dismissal. “However, I would like to guess that we would be ejected from the place.” He glanced over to the sleeping pair, a flicker of annoyance igniting before it faded away. “That is how we made it back here.”

Alma tipped her head lightly, making a rather bold note to not use both together. "Emotion--" she echoed quietly and tilted her head to the side. That seemed odd at best but, at the same time... it could provide a better solution. "Hear me out," she whispered, looking up at the young man. "You and Lily are felines of sorts. Right? Large cats--if you really wanted--you get him pinned on the ground, we use those daggers to keep him in place. If they don't move unless you feel something else... then we drive them through whatever we can get. His throat, his hands--whatever. I don't run risks so I'll take his head off with something. Finn's knife probably." Alma shook her head lightly. It had to work, right? She was going to assume that it would. Veles would suffer at the hands of those who had suffered most because of him. She couldn't lie... she was rather excited about that idea. "Finn gets the lantern and absolutely demolishes it. We leave no glass unbroken, it will be powder when we're done with it," she determined with a short noise. "Then we'll see what happens. If we get tossed out or if we're still there."
