Imani's eyes went wide when the King spoke. She suppressed her excitement and put on a mask of calm. I'll finally have a friend here! She thought.

The Queen's eyes were livid as the Kimg spoke again. "But if you put one paw out of line, you and Imani will both be exiled. For good."

Imani's eyes widened again as the King and Queen stalked off, leaving Zues and Imani alone.

Zeus wanted to growl. They couldnt do that, not because of him. He growled at himself for being so stupid. Of course the only way to really punish him was punishing Imani. Zeus looked at Imani, whose face was expressionless. "Im so sorry." He said, knowing that the Queen was going to do whatever it took to get rid of him. His ear pinned back, how could he be so stupid. He gave one last look at Imani, before walking away, tail tucked, looking humiliated, which was opposite of how he ususally behaved.

Imani turned swiftly and caught up to him.

"Hey, everything's going to be fine. As long as you don't goof up, we'll both be fine." She said with a smile, playfullyy nudging his shoulder to try to cheer him up. "And either way, if we both get exiled we can go find a new pride, or just live the rouge life. Everything will be fine." She repeated, trying to convince herself of that.

Zeus gave a smile. "Maybe your right." He said with a chuckle. He swatted playfully at her ear. Hopefully he didnt goof up, as long as he did what he was told, everything would be okay. Right? He was also suprised that if they both were exiled, then she would be fine living with him. What did that mean?

He gave a small swish of his tail, and brushed it over her face before running away, inviting Imani to play. He took off a mock run, letting her catch up if she decided to play.

Imani chuckled and took off after Zeus, ignoring the faint pain of her cuts.

She caught up to his easily, ramming her entire body into his, trying to knock him over. When that didn't work she sped up, trying to get in front of him. She ran as fast as her legs could carry her, and when she was a few feet in front of him, her kicked up her back legs, flinging dirt and grass into his face.

Zeus spat dirt out of his mouth, he bounded after Imani and, claws sheathed, pawed her in the back. He then preceded to run in front of her and swish his tail over her nose before bounding farther away. He then turned around and stopped swidtly. "Bet you cant catch me." He said with a laugh, waiting there until she was right on him, planning to run away again.

Imani bounded after him again, catching up to him quickly.

She matched his pace and stuck on her her paws in between his, trying to trip him up.

Zeus, not knowing her next move, fell for her trick. He was tripped up from her paws. His paws got tied up underneath him, and he went sprawling out on the ground. He rolled over on his belly, tail swishing in the dust. With a smile he opened his mouth and started playfully swatting his sheathed paws.

Imani started dying laughing when Zeus fell. She swatted at him with a paw and sat down next to him, waiting her him to get up.

"This is going to be so much better now that I have someone fun to hang out with." She said with an exhale, staring at the sky that was starting to turn different shades of orange.

Zeus rose to a sitting position, him and Imani's shoulders almost touching. He nodded at her words. "Its been along time since ive been in a Pride. I dont really remember Pride ways." He said, looking at Imani. Itd been so long of just him, he pushed that aside. How would he fit in with the others? "Imani, would you teach me Pride ways?" He asked, giving a mock bow, his pelt darker in the orange light.
