Fen jumped into the water shortly after Lucian did, his black fur now sleek. Like he expected, the water was very cold but refreshing. He looked at Lucian when he spoke and followed him down under the water and into a crystal cave. It was beautiful, and he climbed out of the water and onto a little platform in the cave. Shaking some of the water out of his fur. That water is cold! He nearly laughed. Being a demon he was much more used to the heat rather than the cold, it gave him chills.

Lucian gazed around, looking at each crystal. He smiled a toothy wolf smile, while shaking out his fur too. He looked back at Fenriz, who's black fur looked sleek. He looked so... handsome. Wait what the heck- He shook himself again, acting as if there was still water clinging to him. Trying to clear his thoughts, Lucian padded farther into the cave. C'mon, there's something that I brought you here for! Lucian came to a stop at the end of the cave, which was fairly bigger than the beginning. Here, there's a crystal mirror. It shows you what you want the most, whether it be a dream come true or something else. Stand in front of it and look into it's depths, and it shall show you.

Fenriz watched him walk further into the cave for a moment before he followed. There were so many crystals, all so beautiful. He would have never found this place if Lucian hadn't shown it to him, so he's glad he did. It was incredibly beautiful here and it made him feel special, knowing that Lucian had never shown this place to anyone else. ~~~ You go first. Fen sat down and waited, his head tilting to the side. He didn't want to look into it, it could show something embarrassing. He thought he wanted the crown, wanted to be king, but now he wasn't sure of that. He didn't know what his deepest desire was, and part of him was afraid to find that out.

Lucian nodded. After all, he had looked into it before, and it showed him only the fact he wanted the crown with someone he actually loved. Now, he stood before it. Looking into its depths. He watched it, waiting for what it would show. An image faded onto the smooth surface. Lucian thought it would once again show him with a blank figure that he loved and shared the crown with. He was wrong. A fierce blush sat high on Lucian's cheeks as he saw the image. The blank figure from last time was replaced with... Fenriz. The two stood facing each other, holding a crown in their hands between them. The background looked like the scene of a wedding, flowers drifting down on them, an altar, and everything else. The hell- Why am I seeing this? Lucian thought, shaking his head then looking back at the mirror. It was still there.

Fenriz came over closer to see what the result was, what the mirror showed the other prince. What he wasn't expecting to see in the reflection, was himself. It set him so off guard that he kinda slumped into an awkward sitting position as he stared at it for a couple seconds, his heart racing as he processed the information. They were wearing formal clothes, and holding a crown between them. It looked like a.. like a wedding. ~~~ Fen closed his mouth as soon as he realized it had been hanging open and an embarrassed grin grew on his face. Though, now he was sitting more in front of the mirror and it changed to show what he wanted most. The image was Lucian in his angel form with a blush on his cheeks, spreading to his ears. Now Fen felt more sheepish, despite the bit of relief that Lucian felt the same or similar at least. He gulped and looked over at Lucian, he would be blushing if he wasn't still in wolf form, so he was grateful for that at least, the fur covering some of his embarrassment.

Now seeing what the other prince wanted most, Lucian looked away in embarrassment. He had not expected that. He wasn't even sure about his feelings. But he... He saw what he saw. Looking back at the other as he felt his gaze, Lucian caught Fenriz's eyes for a moment before looking away. He wasn't sure he was ready for this. Let's just... Head back. I need some time to process this. Lucian had too much going through his head and needed some time to think things over.

Fenriz agreed, he needed- no, he wanted to go home. Being fully confronted by his feelings was a lot to handle and he wasn't ready for that yet, for having to face then in front of someone else especially. He needed to think. I think that's a good idea. ~~~ Fen walked away and jumped back into the water, swimming fast and finally coming out the other side where he got out completely and shook his coat out. Without wasting a second, he shifted back into his demonic form, put his dry shirt and pants on, and squeezed some of the water out of his hair. His wings were drenched as well, and he flapped them a few times to dry them a little. "I uh, I'm gonna go. See you later, Lucian." Fenriz looked at him with a half smile that only lasted a second, then took flight - heading for home.

Lucian watched the other leave, silently gazing until he faded from view. He decided it was best for him to leave too, so he got the blanket and basket all packed up. Once he was back out in the forest, he raised his wings and began to take the trip back to his home. . . . Walking in through the gates, a knight noticed Lucian and walked over. Bending into a bow, the knight began to speak. "M'sire, your parents were wondering where you were." Nodding, Lucian waved his hand to signal for the knight to go back to his post, before beginning to walk in the direction of his parent's study. He sighed, mentally preparing himself for what might be coming next. . . . Lucian walked in the study's door, internally sighing. His parents noticed his arrival, then exchanged a glance, before looking at him with concerned faces. "Before you say anything, I have something to say... I think I'm in love." His parents gasped slightly, almost blurting out tons of questions. They caught themselves though, and finally his mother spoke. "Who?" "Mother... Father... It's not a woman. It's a man..." After Lucian finally got it out, he saw his parent's eyes widened and a look of shock on their faces. He was half expecting them to yell at him or something, since they wanted him to marry a bride. The two rulers were silent for a few moments, obviously thinking over their words. Then, Lucian's father began to speak. "...Son, we... We are sorry, with all of our talk about you marrying a bride, a woman. You can marry whoever you want, as long as they treat you nicely. As long as both of you love each other equally. It's still love." His father placed a hand on his shoulder, eyes slightly tearing up. Lucian's eyes widened. He started to cry. "Thank you...!" "Just... Who is it?" His mother asked, taking his hand in her own. "...Prince Fenriz of the WereDemon kingdom..." Lucian looked away, scared that they might think different now. After a moment, his mother gently turned his head back, her eyes soothing. "Hunny, if he loves you back, then that's all that matters. We just care about your happiness and well-being." . . . Lucian was now laying on his bed, unable to sleep after all the events of the day. Getting up and off the bed, he wandered over to his bookshelf, wanting to pick a book to read. His eyes caught on a book that was laying on top of the bookshelf, so he picked it up. Rulers of Ancient Times and Their Same Gender Love read the title. Interested, he walked back over to his bed and laid down, beginning to read.

Fenriz arrived back at his castle and the moment he landed and walked in the large doors his father was coming down the stairs. "Where have you been?" The King yelled, his expression twisted angrily. ~~ "I.. just went out." He lied, trying to get passed his father without having to explain himself. He didn't know what to say. There was nothing he could say that would get him out of this. ~~ "Really? So what's this then?" His father held up the note, littered with drawings and the message from Lucian. Fen's blood ran cold, he felt the color drain from his face. Now what. ~~ "It's.. I was just.. I wanted to make sure he was okay and-" ~~ "Don't lie to me son!" His father stood in front of him now, grabbing the collar of his shirt and yelling into his face. Fen turned on his defenses like he always did. ~~ "Its none of your business. If I want to hang out with a fellow prince who understands the pressure of having to deal with being thrown straight into a kingdom and a crown and all of these responsibilities, and having to marry a woman you'll never love!" Fenriz shouted, then realizing that he said too much. He shouldn't have said anything. He'd gone too far now and there was no turning back. What's worse, his father understood what he was saying. What he implied with that regretful sentence. ~~ "Your room. Now. If you weren't the only son I had, you wouldn't be in line for the crown anyway. I can promise you that. I'd choose anyone else if I could." His father let him go but Fen didn't move. ~~ "I love him." Fen smirked, pushing buttons now. Making it worse for himself, sure, but he didn't care. "A lot." ~~ "Be quiet and get outta of my sight." ~~ "Kissed him, too." Which was a lie, but his father didn't know that. Fen could almost laugh, he felt a bit hysterical. Before his father could do anything violent, Fen ran up the stairs to his room, leaving the king with smoke coming out of his ears.

He read through the night. An hour before dawn, he fell asleep reading the book, filled with all the stories of the rulers that loved their same gender. The book had delved deep into the stories behind the rulers, and two of them had caught his attention. They were the stories of two princes turned kings, King Lucas and King Alonso. What struck him was the facts that the stories were very similar to his and Fenriz's so far. After Lucian fell asleep, he dreamt something very strange. He couldn't remember the exact details, though toward the end he reappeared in that same room from a while ago. That room that was very familiar. At the end of the dream, he saw that wispy figure, though it was not as wispy now. The figure... looked a lot like him. Lucian woke in a cold sweat. What was that dream about? Why did he see that figure that looked like himself?
