Eaglewind nodded, chuckling as she did. "I've definitely felt that way, too." he said. "Got into trouble a lot as a pup, for reasons that weren't always my fault. Just seem to attract bad luck sometimes." He grinned charmingly at her, his tail wagging softly in the grass.

"Oh everyone likes to do different things," he answered, laying down. "I like to collect things." His ears fell slightly back, and a sheepish expression crossed his face, as if he was slightly embarassed to admit it. "I have a stash of just a bunch of little things I find on patrols. A lot of the pack thinks it's weird, but..." He trailed off, shrugging, and briefly looked away from her as he scanned the camp. Everyone was starting to get up and mosey about now, more voices echoing softly in the distance.

"I take it you've met Duskleap?" he asked. "I thought I saw her with you yesterday, but I wasn't sure." He turned back to look at her, his gaze soft and friendly. "What is it like here comppared to LichenClan?"

Her ears perked up as excitement bloomed in her chest. "I do too! Though, its usually more specific. I prefer collecting feathers and small shiny stones!" Her tail thumped against the ground as she spoke. "I found this rock at the bottom of a riverbed, it was worn smooth by the water and its black with little flecks of blue and white in it! It looks like the nightsky condensed into the one little stone that can fit in my paw!"

As she spoke her eyes grew cloudy and far away, a silly grin stretching her muzzle as she sighed wistfully. After a few moments she shook herself from the memory, lapping her tongue across her jaw, tasting the remnants of the rabbit for her meal. "Yeah I have, she's been a lot of help, and I grately appreciate it. That and Sageheart, she's been great. I can't thank them both enough for their kindness. And there's not much differense that I have seen so far, though I have only been here half a day."

Eaglewind felt a rush of joy in his chest as she said she enjoyed collecting too. As she described the stone she found, his ears pricked forward and his brown eyes grew wide, listening intently. His tail thumped happily on the ground, her excited energy transferring to him.

"Oh cool!" he exclaimed, grinning like a pup. "That's such a beautiful find. I found the skull of a fox kit once, it was double headed. Must have died very young. Most of the rest of the remains had dissolved, but the skulls were left! It was sad, but really cool. I kept it." He paused. "I also found a really pretty stone once, it had some really pretty purple glittery stuff in the middle. Like crystals."

He listened as she spoke about Duskleap and Sageheart, and he nodded. "They're both very kind. Duskleap is a new mom. Her pups are the sweetest. They'll make great warriors one day for sure." She told him that there wasn't much difference between the two packs, and he grinned. "We're all just wolves living our lives." he said calmly.

"What sort of things do you enjoy doing?" he asked, genuinely curious. "Aside from collecting, that is." He found himself enjoying Jupitersmoke's company. She was friendly, and the fact that she liked collecting things made him feel a little closer to her. No one else in HollyClan enjoyed that activity, and most everyone thought he was a little strange for doing so.

Jupitersmoke paused to think for a moment, her ears twitching as she went over the things she did for fun, trying to decide what would make her sound foolish, and what wouldn't. It was a rather long list for the former and she debated making a half hearted and vague comment. Then she focused her attention on Eaglewind again, his eyes shining with excitement and curiosity.

Smiling she shrugged mentally, what did she care if some strange wolf from a strange Clan thought she was a bit strange. She was, and proud of it. "My sister and I like to mess with the other warriors. A few moons ago we found a large patch of catchweed, you know those tiny green fuzzballs that stick to everything." She started giggling, closing her eyes as she recalled the memory. "We picked as many of them as we could and hid them near a hole in the camp wall near the Warriors den. Then, when everyone was out of their nests we spread them around. They went to bed that night and then woke up the next morning covered in the stuff."

Laughter bubbled up inside her chest and she let it ring in the air, her tail thumping in time with her panting breaths. "Our mother Snowcla and a few others, namely Duskstone, Leafthorn, and Bluerose had to go soak in a river to get them out. They got so tangled up in their fur that no amount of chewing or combing could get them free." Jupitersmoke sighed blissfully as she rested her muzzle on her paws. "Cinderstep and I were put on apprentice duty for a moon after that, but it was worth it."

Eaglewind's eyes widened as she told the tail, excitement and shock pumping through his chest. He felt like a young pup again as he listened to her story.

"Oh that must have been awful!" He laughed, shaking his head. He could never have gotten away with something like that in HollyClan. "I think Autumnstar would have had me for lunch if I pulled something like that here!" His expression faded slightly and he rotated his ears, listening carefully as he did a quick glance around. He lowered his voice, praying to StarClan no one would hear him and pass the word on. "HollyClan seems so different than the rest of the clans," he said softly. "At least when it comes to leaders. Blackstar is wonderful, but Autumnstar..." He trailed off, shaking his head. It was bad luck to speak ill on his leader, but he couldn't help it.

Most other clans were led by a single lead wolf, but HollyClan functioned with a mated pair at the lead. It made the dynamic a bit odd, especially with the way Autumnstar was. She was far too stern and didn't like things to be out of order. Every day Eaglewind was grateful for Blackstar's joint in leadership. He couldn't imagine the lifestyle he would be living if Autumnstar was the sole clan leader.

A few minutes went by as they continued to chat, when Eaglewind turned his head to see Ravenwing approaching the pair. The scent of LichenClan was seeping off of him, but it was not Jupitersmoke's scent. It was similar, but not quite hers. "Hello Raven," Eaglewind greeted, his tail thumping softly on the ground. He hadn't realized until this moment how relaxed he had gotten with Jupitersmoke. He felt almost as if they had grown up as pups together.

"Eaglewind, Jupitersmoke," Ravenwing greeted kindly. His eyes shifted to meet Jupitersmoke's face. "I spoke with your sister at sunrise this morning," he told her. "She misses you dearly. I've offered to hunt with her tomorrow morning in the meadow of no man's land. Anyone of any clan can hunt there freely."

Eaglewind stiffened, nervousness prickling along his spine. "Have you spoken about this at all to Blackstar or Autumnstar?" He questioned quietly.

"No." Ravenwing answered, shifting his weight on his paws, as if he too was a bit nervous. "But it shouldn't be an issue...it's no man's land. And I'd bring some food back for the pack." Eaglewind cast a glance at Jupitersmoke, worry passing through his eyes. The endevor was intended to be harmless, but anything was bound to go wrong, and Autumnstar was bound to find out.

"I guess I came to ask you if you'd want to maybe meet up with your sister there tomorrow." Ravenwing offered the injured she-wolf. Eaglewind now stood up, almost in shock.

"How do you intend to get her there, Raven?" He prodded. "Look at her shoulder!"

"I was there when we found her, Eaglewind, don't forget." Ravenwing snapped. "I know she's hurt. I was just inquiring." He shifted his gaze to her. "Do you think you'd be strong enough by then to at least walk out that way?"

Jupitersmoke was still chuckling, wincing slightly as the movements pulled at her stiffening shoulders. Shaking her head she took a few deep breaths, sighing blissfully. I don't know how you guys manage it with two leaders. I'm worried there would be a divide between our Clan if Glassstar's mate was leader as well. Granted, Snowclaw isn't anything like Autumnstar, but they do have their arguments about stuff."

Before she could go further into it, the faint scent of LichenClan wafted towards her, namely her sisters scent. She pricked her ears hopefully and turned her head to the entrance of the camp to find Ravenwing padding towards them. He had dropped off a deer fawn on the prey pile and Jupitersmoke could smell Cinderstep on its cold fur. 'She must have caught that for HollyClan.'

As Ravenwing began speaking, Jupitersmoke found her eyes narrowing slightly at the joy she could feel radiating from the male's pelt. His eyes were shining slightly with enthusiasm, though it was dampened as he was reminded of their lead female and what her reaction would be. Before she could decide how she felt at the idea of her sister with this wolf from another Clan, Ravenwing turned to her, posing his question.

Suddenly the ache in her chest amplified as she remembered just how much she missed her Clanmates. The idea of seeing her sister the next day, injury or no, was enough to fuel a fire in her belly. Before he had even finished asking the question she had started nodding. "If it means seeing my sister, I can walk to the foothills and back."
