I trailed right behind sniffing the air and not the trail to make sure we are safe. I sniffed the air one more time and then froze, "Forest..." I said quietly but desperately once she turned to me all I said was "Run,"

Before I knew it I was running I didn't know who the humans were, all I knew was that I smelt them. Another tame raptor appeared at my side and seemed like he was trying to push me in a direction. He was attempting to herd me. One of the times he attempted to push me I backed up just enough to bite the back of his neck and trip him. I continued running on, I ran into Forest again. "I don't know if they are from my facility or not but they are trying to herd me so if they try to redirect you, work against them," I quickly said to her.

Forest stopped and looked up and over to Nightmare who had just called her name. Forest was a bit confused but did as Nightmare told her and ran. Just then she smelled the smell of humans. Forest then turned just in time to see Nightmare bite a raptors neck and make him fall. She then ran closer to Forest and she nodded. Forest was a bit scared but she kept turning her head to check on Nightmare. Just then another raptor triped Forest, making her fall to the ground with a thud. Forest let out a scared call to Nightmare, hoping she could help.

I quickly turned around and ran back over to Forest, basically standing over her and hissing at the other Raptor that tripped her. He lunged at me but I used my arms and knocked him out of the way facing him to run head-first into a tree knocking him out. That's when Military Raptors started showing up, I still stood over Forest. The Military Raptors were not making any advancements. It seemed they were only there to keep us contained. That's when I heard it, the recall whistle. I stepped off Forest a bit and my pupils narrowed, I raised my torso into the air, relying on my back legs and tail to support me. I called out waiting for another call to confirm the order. I saw Forest stand up carefully, she stared at the Military Raptors eyeing all of them. I made eye contact with one, they were larger, stronger, and faster, and they were genetically modified to have skin that could withstand a bullet.

I sighed in relif as Nightmare stood over me, protecting me from the other raptors. One of the raptors lunged at me and Nightmare but Nightmare expertly took the raptor down. Just then i heard a whistle sound. Oh no, they are going to take Nightmare! I thought as i looked at Nightmare helplessly. Just then she back off me and i got up, eyeing all the raptors that were all around us. They could easily kill us but they arent, why? I then just waited there, helplessly, hoping the wouldnt take Nightmare and leave me alone again. I couldnt be alone. I would fight to the death to not be alone.

After no response for a bit, I backed up to Forest again and whispered "I'm not letting them take me without you if you are fine with that. As long as you stay glued to my side they won't do anything if they are on my side." I shifted from one leg to the other, until I heard footsteps.

Out from the trees not only came my alpha but a few other humans too. My pupils dilated. I nudged Forest letting her know I was moving and carefully walked to my alpha to sniff him. While looking him over I smelt blood on his abdomen then looked up at him and gave him and concerned click.

"She can clearly tell you have a fatal wound," One of the other humans said and I looked at them, my pupils narrowing again and the Military raptors immediately started to shift to get between us. But then my alpha clicked back at me telling me to stand down and I listened.

"She still knows all the commands and didn't drop all of her training the moment she was free?" One of the humans farther back closer to one of the military raptors said.

"I'm not surprised, even though she wasn't my beta she always listened the best. Hence why she was always given the task of hiding for the surprise attack on missions. It's how she got get name," My alpha said reaching up and taking the thing off my head then stroking the top of my head. "Her dark colors made it easier to hide with her yellow eyes standing out." He then glanced to Forest, "It looks like she even already tried forming a new pack of females," he said then one of the men in white walked up.

"Yes on the footage she was seen sleeping next to this female during the night," He said adjusting his glasses then looking at a clipboard

"Really?" one of the higher military men stepped forward. "The fact she didn't try to run off and disobey commands is enough but quickly adapting and adjusting by making anew pack are desirable traits," He said

"Agreed," My alpha said. i wasn't comprehending all of it but I turned to Forest. "Are you alright?" I asked her softly "You took a hard fall, we are safe for now so I wanted to make sure."

After a couple seconds Nightmare came back to my side. I was secretly releaved, she knew more about humans than me so i was glad to be by her side. Nightmare then spoke to me by saying, "I'm not letting them take me without you if you are fine with that. As long as you stay glued to my side they won't do anything if they are on my side." I slowly nodded. I didnt want to go with the humans but i couldnt be alone again so i decided to follow Nightmare as she walked up to her human alpha. I didnt like being this close to the humans but i just couldnt be alone. The humans talked for a while, i could tell but i had no idea what they were saying. Just then Nightmare woke me from my thoughts by speaking to me. "Oh, im fine, id rather fall a million times than be this close to the humans, espcially so many of them...." I half joked, half serious.

"You have to trust me on this, normally there aren't this many and the only one I see daily is my alpha. Otherwise, I get little to no interaction with others." I said focusing mainly on her

"It seems one won't leave without the other and the other won't let one leave without them. So you might have to take in a wild raptor," The scientist said

"I'm completely fine with that, I would rather her be comfortable with a pack member she chose rather than force her to be with more she isn't comfortable with. Although we can still try slowly introducing my raptors to them and seeing if they bond." My alpha said a little annoyed that my attention was drawn away from him but it was just normal raptor behavior to occasionally check on each other.

"We can discuss this on the way back to the facility, her old chamber was cleared completely since we didn't think she would come back." The scientist said

"It's half and half for me, I thought she would come back but wouldn't judge her if she didn't." My alpha said The humans turned around and started to walk somewhere else and I cautiously followed behind. My side constantly touched Forest's side. Soon enough we came up to the cages, there were individual cages and one built for two. Immediately I guided myself and Forest to that one, showing I wasn't going to argue but I would refuse any other cage.

"We will be in these cages for a short period of time, but once we get there we will be let out into a large area that is all ours and we won't be separated." I said trying to explain it to Forest

I nodded but i still didnt like this situation. When the humans started to talk again i could tell Nightmare's alpha was a bit annoyed. I shook my head, trying to clear the tention. Just then i followed Nightmare while she followed her alpha, our sides never leaving eachother. Soon we came upon small cave like things. The smelled like humans and i hated it. I then nodded and followed Nightmare into what she called a cage. If my parents would see me they would be very disapointed, that was for sure. There not here though, and this is what i have to work with. Once in the cage we started to move. I let out a click of disconfort. The cage was big enough for both of us but it was hard and cold. "I dont like this...." I said flatening myself to the ground, feeling a but more safe laying down. The cage was cold on my stomach but i would rather be cold and safe then normal temp but in danger.

"I didn't like it at first either, you shouldn't have to step foot in another one like this after we get there. Would you want to curl up together again?" I asked "We have a long way to go and these things can get pretty cold and bumpy so It's best to sleep," I said still standing.

I looked up at Nightmare as she talked. "Good, and yes, if you dont mind," I said with a weak smile. Nightmare was still standing up at which i was amazed but she was soon laying beside me. I then put my head on her back as we had did the night before. I instantly felt better. Soon i fell fast asleep. It was weird how tired the loud thing made you feel, with the swaying. It would make any raptor tired after a while. After about an hour though the loud thing stoped and i jolted awake. "We've stoped," I told Nightmare quietly before getting to my feet to see my suroundings. To my disconfort it smelled alot of human and little of my kind. I shook my head before backing up to the back of the cage as the humans unlocked the cage door.
