Zoko watched her lay by him. He wrapped his tail around her, even though she wasn't his mate, he still would lay like this with his tail around her to make her feel safe. Even though they just met, he wished she was his mate but of course he wouldn't ask her until he was certian he knew what his feelings were about her and until he got to know her. He laid his head down on the back of his paws and stared out of the cave entrance.

Amara let out a yawn before she closed her eyes. She started to doze off, moving closer to Zoko as she did so. She twitched in her sleep as her dreams turned to nightmares of the kingdom being attacked. (Time skip to morning?)

(Sure) Zoko slowly woke up as the sun started to appear at the entrance of the den. He looked to his side and saw Amara there still asleep. He smiles to himself. 'She's so cute when shes asleep.' he thought to himself. He wasnt gonna wake her up. She could wake up when her body tells her too. He kept his tail wrapped around her, he had felt her get closer to himself over the night.

Amara stirred when the sunlight hit her eyes. She let out a small annoyed hiss with the light before she slowly blinked her eyes open. Lifting her head, she looked around, trying to remember where she was. Her blue eyes looked around before she realized how close to Zoko she was. A bright blush appeared as she slowly sat up. "I-uh, sorry" she said, stumbling over her words as she looked at her claws. She slowly glanced back up at him, wondering if he was alright with her being so close to him.

Zoko looked at her. He nudged her softly with his paw. "I don't mind at all." He said. He slowly sat up and gave her a soft geniune smile. "Don't be sorry, I guess I just miss having someone close. I haven't had anyone close since my parents and baby sister died." He said quietly.

Amara listened as Zoko spoke. "I'm sorry for your loss" she said as she moved closer once more. "Well, maybe neither of us have to be lonely anymore." While she might have only just lost her kin the day before, she had felt lonely for a while since her mother made a deal with the royal family, causing her to be isolated for a while.

Zoko smiles. "I'm fine with that." He said clearly liking the idea of being with her. Of course he knew theres a chance that she meant just as a friends, but he was silently praying one day she could be his mate. He wrapped a wing around her.

Amara blushed as Zoko wrapped his wing around her. She wasnt sure why she felt the way she did, but she liked this feeling, of being safe, and happy, and something else she couldnt place. She was about to say something when her stomach let out a small growl. "Whoops" she said. "Shall we hunt" she asked with a smile.

Zoko smiles. "Of course." He removed his wing and stood up. "I'll get more wood later. His wings folded again his sides. He looked down at her. "I don't know how many people tell you this, but you are very beautiful." he whispered in her ear.

Amara stood up and looked out of the cave. When she heard Zoko mention she was beautiful, a shocked look on her face. "Y-you really think so" she asked. "And no, nobody ever told me." She looked at Zoko as she blushed even more. "You yourself are very handsome" she told him. She felt something in her throat, as though it was on fire. Her scales on her throat started to glow blue.
