Luna sighed as she looked at the sky. It was starting to darken with the sun going down along with clouds coming in from the south. The meadow didnt have very much coverage from rain, and she wasnt about to have the herd go back into the cave as she still wasnt sure where the humans were. She looked around at the herd before her eyes scanned the area, landing on a few trees in the distance. "Storm, help get the mares with foals to the trees. At least they can stay dry" she said before the stallion nodded and followed Luna's orders.

Dagger stayed where he was before looking up and seeing the clouds. He got up and trailed behind with an elder horse making sure she got there safely. He kept the conversation short and sweet not wanting to hear a whole backstory but he knew he couldn't be rude. After a while, the elder stopped halfway there. "Come on you can do it just a little more" He encouraged while the elder laid down insisting this was just a small rest for her. Dagger pawed at the ground and waited for a few seconds. Encouraging her didn't seem to work so he went for plan B. Nudging the mare up and trotting forward Dagger smiled "match my pace come on..a dead horse can go faster than that" In no time the mare was up and trotting next to him

Luna watched as most of the herd made their way to the trees. She didnt plan on getting cover herself since there were foals and elderly horses who needed the shelter. She flicked her ears as she watched Dagger helping another older mare. The lead mare scanned the herd with her good eye, knowing it was somewhat obvious she wasnt using her left eye to watch them, and only used her right. This caused a stallion to try to approach Luna and catch her off guard.

Once they reached the shelter Dagger walked back out and looked up at the sky. It looked like it was going to start raining soon and he was really going to have to watch out. Marsh trotted over and stuck next to him

"you ready to get soaking wet?" Marsh asks

"I suppose," Dagger says shrugging and going a little ways away from the trees "the only real bad thing is it will be harder to see"

"you have eyes like an eagle you won't have a problem," Marsh says

"Well not everyone does some horses are blind some are half-blind and other things so we have to watch out," Dagger says laying down in the grass and rolling onto his side. marsh stood over him not surprised and just snorted.

Luna remained out in the open as she soon started to feel drops on her back. It was a slow start to the rain, but after a few minutes it picked up. She saw Storm make his way over. "All the elders along with foals are in the trees" he told her, making Luna nod. "Thank you" she told him before she flicked her ears. A low roll of thunder was heard in the distance as the rain continued to pick up. "Keep an eye on the outer rim of the herd. Have a few other stallions help you, that way we arent caught off guard." Luna wondered if she needed to pick a few stallions to work as herd guards for times like this.

Dagger stayed laying down in the rain before he got up shaking himself. He wondered a bit farther from the herd. Noticing a stallion following him he turned. The other stallion pawed at the ground and doing aggressive gestures. Knowing this was a challenge Dagger sighed and returned them not really wanting to. Within a few minutes, the other stallion was running away in fear. Dagger just snickered he didn't even use half his power or energy on that fight. Turning away he started to graze keeping an eye out for anything.

Luna pinned her ears as she heard stallions beginning to fight. She hated that in the rain she couldnt see who or where they were. Slowly the white mare started to walk closer to where she heard them, but she didnt hear them any longer. She saw one stallion walking away from another and glanced to see if either were injured. When it didnt look like either of them were she relaxed a bit before she kept walking to check on the rest of the herd.

Peering through the rain Dagger thought he hears something. Lifting his head he looked around frantically before pinpointing the spot. He angled his ears towards the sound straining his ears and sniffing like crazy. Marsh had come up behind him and looked over to the spot

"I'm guessing you smell or hear something" Marsh says listening then backing up

"mhm" Dagger says before rearing up and pounding the ground scaring a rather small wolf out of the bushes. Glaring Dagger and Marsh charged at the wolf forcing it back.
