Ekon was just having fun.
Granted, his form of fun was slightly off since he wasn't allowed to have fun other than painting.
It was just the looks on the twos' faces that made the corners of his lips slightly twitch. They were just so utterly young and cocky and the absolute disbelief on their faces cracked him up. The tiniest of lights lit up his suddenly gold eyes before it disappeared and Ekon continued to eat.
While he ate, he thought of what the other knights were preparing. The two kids were out, leaving five more, pretty skilled knights, left. So, he assumed that their whispers of conversation was something about a plan of attack against Ekon.
So while they did that, he internally took in the tiniest bits of info he grabbed from their hushed whispers and put together a plan of defense for every idea that came to mind.
A knight stood up, saying how he needed to relieve himself or something. He walked behind Ekon while the purple knight reached out with his powers. It was that decision that allowed him to form a short sword out of three, thick bracelets and block the other elf's blow.
He wasn't out of the woods yet since there were 4 other knights and Ekon had no advantage since he was sitting.
Using his metal power, he felt as one knight tried to get him with his sword. He waited till the last second to roll out of his chair. Making the two attacking knights clash swords on accident.
His feet were silent as he rose from his feet. Feeling a shift in the air just out of his vision, he let his dagger appear just out of his vision and at the man's throat.
"I surrender," was all the man said. Then he went back and sat at the table. Three left.
Ekon finally got on his feet when a sword came straight at him. He didn't think about it, just ducked under it and called his short sword to his hand. Spinning around and clashing swords with a fresh knight. Behind him, his knife was keeping the other knight occupied. Now it was just for the third knight. Wherever he was.
Ekon landed blow to blow with the knight in front of him before finally disarming him. Barely looking winded. "Yield." Was all Ekon said, it wasn't a question. It was an order.
The knight nodded vigorously and went back to the table. Two more to go, this was getting to easy.
The knight finally swung the small dagger out of the air with his sword but by then Ekon was already there. Mentally instructing his dagger to protect his back. The other dagger appeared. So two in total and an armed knight. Great.
Ekon did a tiny slip up. Accidentally stumbling on the thick rugs of the palace. He wasn't used to such things. And the other knight got a chance to hit and took it.
The problem was, his padded armor protected him from any clothes ripping or him getting hurt. So the sword just bounced right back off. If it had been sharper, it might've been able to make a tear but the sword was dull. And so was this game the knight was playing.
So Ekon took his chance and smacked the sword out of the other knights hand. He didn't have to say it this time, the knight kneeled, signifying that the understood that's Ekon was more powerful. Then went to the table. Not a second later, Ekon was shoved by some invisible force.
Ekon figures this must've been this elf's power. Invisibility. But like all powers, they tended to tire after awhile. Even Ekon's metal molding abilities had become quite tiresome. And invisibility was a hard thing to hold for long.
So Ekon listened for the shifts in the air. Finding that the other knight stood a three mere feet in front of him. He didn't make any move to act like he knew the knight was there.
His daggers did it for him.
They hit home, dulling as they went so the knight wouldn't actually get cut but enough for a bruise. And they pierced his armor and lightly pricked his skin. The knight yelped in surprise which was all Ekon needed to figure out exactly where he was and where his sword should be. So he jolted into action.
Combining his daggers and short sword to make a longer sword then used it to disarm the invisible man. He swept his feet out from under him and heard the thud as he hit the floor. Ekon then placed the sword under the knight's chin. Tapping his exposed neck.
Finally, the knights showed himself. He was quite the mess. "Do you yield?" Ekon said with a ton that showed he was quite sick and tired of all the playing. "Yes Sir Ekon. It was a great thing to fight someone of such background as yourself."
Ekon nodded simply and allowed his sword to return to their decorative bracelet form. His eyes settling down from their rapid change of colors to black.
