(Just going to have to cook up one for this :P) Jonah walked through the Hearts' territory, on his own and trying not to catch the ire of the pack. Although, he had a bright red coat with a deep red harlequin, so trying to be stealthy was difficult, to say the least. He sniffed the air, looking for some prey, but nothing came up. Giving up on a hunt for now, he walked over to a lake and began drinking water, letting the water cool him off. I really need to find somewhere to stake my claim. I can't wander forever. Clay had to think carefully about his answer, knowing that he would have to answer properly, otherwise he could make Star very mad. "Star, I don't think that you're turning into Lilac. You care so much about Dove and Em, and I'll hazard a guess and say that towards the end of the time that you were in your old pack, Lilac wasn't treating you right. If you're scared about turning into him, then don't. You care about Em and Dove, so I know that you won't turn into him." |

Star watched Jonah silently, until she stepped on a twig. damn.. there goes my stealth. She just gave up and walked tot he water, getting water herself. SHe didnt know the male would be looking at her. When she finished drinking, she planned to go on and explore more, but the male made her stop. " Oh... hi" she said refusing to move to him. She wanted to distance herself if he attacked. Her ears twitched and her tail held still. Eyes on the male. |

Jonah eyed the female that was near him. Is she a part of the pack here? Or is she on her own herself? I would guess that she's alone since she hasn't tried to run me off yet. His red tail waved back and forth nonchalantly as he tried to of what to do next. "Oh... hi" he heard Dove say to him. Jonah looked at Dove but then looked back at the lake. What is she trying to do? "Hi. Haven't seen you before." He quietly said, looking at her. |

Dove say his wagging tail well he seems ok. " Im sure" she chuckled " I live not too far from here. Just uh... chilling out. What are tyou doing out here alone?" SHe looked at him before twitching her ears. I hope hes a Darkseeker. | ( I know its short... kinda busy today) |

Jonah was somewhat intrigued by Dove: she hadn't chased him off, and no other wolves were coming to back Dove up, so perhaps she was by herself. "Well... I'm trying to find somewhere to stay until Winter is over. I don't think I have it in me to sleep outside only to be covered by snow come morning." Jonah swept the snow away from him with his tail. "Are you part of that pack... what was the name... something Hearts, I don't know. What I'm asking is are you a part of that pack or are you on your own as well?" He noticed Dove loom at his tail, and he consciously stopped moving it. |

" Its called the Shadow Hearts" Dove said looking at him and not his tail. " Im Dove, byt he way." She had to think of what to do about this stranger in her midst. " Look, I dont know what my Alpha will say or do to either of us, But you need to come with me. The snow isnt good now. And one wrong move and your dead. So come on, I'll bring you to my pack." She walked to his side and nudged him forward. " Come on.." she said. She just hoped that her Alpha would accept him. If she had to argue with him, she would. |

Jonah couldn't believe what he was hearing. She wants me to follow her back to her pack? Dove tried to nudge him but he resisted, at first. "You... you really want me to go with you to your pack?" Jonah took a step from Dove. "I'm sorry, but I just met you, so what's to say that you aren't going to lead me back to you pack only for them to attack me for being in your territory?" He looked at her with confusion. What is she trying to do? |

" You asked for a warm place to be during the winter. Im giving you a chance. But of you dont want to, then dont. I'll talk to my Alpha either way." Her eyes looked at him before looking away in guilt. failed attempt number one she thought. " Look, I.. I have to go now." She sighed before trotting back to her pack territory, hoping none would have noticed her long absence. |

Jonah watched her walk away, feeling bad that he turned her down even though she was only trying to help him. Why did I do that?! She gave me an opportunity to get out of the snow and I turned her down. Jonah sighed as he walked away from the lake, still on his search for a place to stay. Meanwhile back at the Hearts' home Mikael and Em were preparing their den for when the pups arrived. Mikael looked around the inside fo the den and tried to think of more ways to make it more comfortable for Em, but he turned around and looked outside to see that Dove had returned. "Hey Dove." Mikael said as he met her daughter right outside of the den. "How was your little adventure? Anything exciting happen?" |

ove nuzzled her father " I.. uh.. met someone, dad. Nothing special of course. He uh..." She paused as she looked around to see if anyone else was listening in " - I met a lone male out by the river today. He said he wanted a place to stay during the rest of winter. To my suprise he turned me down..." Dove looked at her pawws ' I dont know what I did wrong, dad... I just wanted to help him" she whined. Meanwhile, in teh den, Em was laying down trying to stay calm. But nothing was working. The kicking just got worse and worse, making her nervous something was wrong. |
