The damsel looked blankly at the brute, stumbling a step or so to the side when the proximity between them closed, causing a gruff growl to erupt from her throat. He was scrupulous with his observation, for she was indeed petrified of him. However She could not describe what the brute was trying to do. Intimidate her? Beguile the fae? Whatever was going on, it was most definitely malicious intent. Imber felt as though she needed to certify something. "I think you've set out to exhaust me." The fae relaxed her posture, a clear indication of her patronizing disregard for the brutes taunting speech. Her ears swiveled around a little unsure of her next advances. "I'm still misinterpreting the matter. Are you endeavoring to scrutinize me?" The fae accused before continuing. "Or is it derision you are trying to achieve?" Imber contemplated the brute, her paws curling in on themselves. The kindred fae had diminished into naught but a curmudgeonly she-wolf. The brutes testing would ruin her, but her thoughts were still to wonder; whether she was to flee as her heart and soul so begged. (Apologies, this is suuuuper short!
