Rowan didn't think this weirdo was right about her, but it didn't matter. Let him believe what he wanted to. "Call me Rowan," was her only reply to all of that, though she snorted when he said that the bird didn't like being called what it was. "I'm heading off, then. Frost needs to be taken care of. Since you know what that... manticore... is... I bet you know how to take care of it." Rowan grabbed her crossbow and quiver from Frosts back, and slung them over her shoulder. "Bye."

Alvaro smirked slightly, the manticore would be left here to rot. He wasn't touching that thing ever. Though he would have to notify the town about it and tell the guards to actually do their jobs. "Well thanks for killing that thing. And the name is Alvaro. Rowan. It was a pleasure to meet you." With that he was off, straight towards his home. He had taken Clem off his head and now held her while he allowed his wings to come out and for him to fly into the boundary. His town forming below him as he held the osprey close to his chest. Safely landing in his home. He brought Clem to his table and set her down while he gathered supplies around his home. Her voice was jabbering on and on inside his head about how much pain Clem was in and blah blah blah. Alvy really didn't care. He was trying to get the arrow out of her wing and he needed to concentrate in order to do so. Sitting down in one of his chairs, he sent numbing magic through her system before saying. "This is gonna hurt a lot. But if you night me I swear I'll toss you out my door and you can figure out how to fly by yourself." The young osprey said a few unpleasant things to him before he pulled out the arrow. Successful but blood was still going everywhere. He rubbed in the mashed up herbs he had brought over and sent waves of healing magic through her. Then he wrapped it up with white cotton wraps. By the end of it, Clem was passed out due to blood loss and Alvaro finally had silence.

Rowan didn't stick around. She led Frost through the forest, and after what felt like ages, reached the edge of the town. Quickly binding her chest - it wasn't her best work - Rowan headed into town. A few people looked at her oddly, but they had seen weird things. Bringing Frost to the place where she boarded him, Rowan untacked him, and began to clean his wounds and his body. By the end of it, Rowan was dogged, and set Frost in his stall with hay and water.

Alvy headed out of his tree house with energy filled wings. Like hummingbirds, faerie wings moved rapidly, each flap taking up lots of energy. Of course, faeries had an almost unlimited supply of energy so it really wasn't that much of a problem. It never had been for Alvaro at least. He headed to Kori's place with quick wings and settled down at her door. The older woman was around 682 and looked around 43. She was the oldest one in existence. And everyone respected her despite the fact that she was sick and would probably die soon. As in 100 years soon. That was the thing with faeries getting sick. Most of the time they would die. Even if they were healthy. "Kori, I'm sorry to bother you. But I must report a manticore right outside our border. A young woman with powers defeated it though I am not sure how long it has been here." Kori looked up with an expression of shock. Her eyes wide. "That's not possible. I just set up new magical borders." Alvaro shrugged not unkindly. He was just as at a loss as she was.

Rowan trudged back to the Inn, ordered a pitcher of ale to be brought to her room, then went upstairs to where people slept. Her room was nice, considering the price, and she pulled off her boots. Soon, a lad brought in her ale, and she dismissed him. Locking the door, Rowan changed clothes, and brushed out her hair, then flopped on the bed, soon fast asleep

Alvaro watched as Kori put her face in her hands. The woman was different from most faeries. Instead of being slight she was tall and wasn't extremely skinny like most faeries. She had cocoa colored skin and black curly hair that reached her mid-back and was always put in dutch braids. Once upon a time Alvy had loved the woman, as more than a friend. But he had realized soon enough that she had given her heart away to another. Unlike humans, when faeries married, they were bonded for life. They could never love anyone else ever. And Kori's bond partner had died after a human attack. Alvy knew this information now and had stopped loving her entirely and now saw her more as a figure to look up to. "We'll need to increase security around the borders and patrol should be increased around the whole forest. Can you make this happen Alvaro?" The younger man nodded, his mark pulsating green light as he neared Kori. She was incredibly powerful and when we he was around her he couldn't hide his mark at all. "It'll be done Kori. I will take my leave." She nodded and Alvy disappeared out the door.
((Kay. So what if they aren't letting any magical people in so when Rowan comes along and claims she is a normal human they drag her to the town? lol))

Im just going to timeskip to a few days later so we can get this show on the road XD
Rowan knew it was a bad idea, and she repeated that in her head, even as she got deeper into the woods. She felt the energy of the "border" come upon her, and she slowed. Cautiously, she brushed her fingers along where she felt the energy.

lol kay 😂))
The past few days had been hell on earth. Demons had popped up everywhere around the borders and no where was safe. The town was the only haven. The faeries hadn't been able to get out of the town for days. Alvaro included. This had sent him into a spiraling wave of undisguised sadness. Any faerie could understand Alvaro's pain, he was a wanderer and that was expected. Instead, Alvaro had taken to going on patrols and had started regaining his skills with a sword and dagger. He had also started strengthening his bond with the border. It kept most malicious monsters out but Alvy couldn't always trust it and strengthening his bond with it meant he could feel the comings and goings of anyone. So, when he felt an unfamiliar aura enter the boundaries. He immediately sent out a patrol. Unfortunately, he could go himself due to other more important matters so he sent 5 guards to go take of the problem.

Rowan retracted her hand, and stared at the barrier. She was curious about what lived behind the wall, though she wouldn't cross over without good reason. It would be too dangerous, considering she had almost died to some weird thing just yesterday on the outskirts. Speaking of Outskirts, Rowan realized how stupid she was. She had no way to get away quickly, and archery wasn't as practical close range. It would come to having yo use a blade, which wasn't her strong suit.

The faerie patrol headed over to the section of the border with an archer and two swordsman. The archer was a severe looking woman who seemed deathly tired. Though she seemed to be the leader since she flew in front of the two. Despite her air of superiority, she didn't seem in the mood of argue as her two companions bickered back and forth. "Laura what do you have to say about the leaf bug? It really is annoying ri-." The other man elbowed him in the gut with a warning expression on his face. This was of course, due to the fact that Laura had just lost her fiancé due to a sudden ambush by manticores. Talking to her either resulted in her bursting into tears or snapping back quickly. "O-oh yea. Anyways, we are close now. We should all be on guard." Laura's voice was unsteady but her aim true as she delicately grabbed an arrow and set it. She wasn't the best with a bow but it would have to do. They hit the forest floor with a loud thump, their wings fluttering gently in the breeze.
