She blushed softly and said, *Okay okay I'll take it easy. But remember, I'm not a piece of glass.* She chuckled softly as she looked up at him.

Lucas smiled. "I know, but I am making sure you're not hurt more." He said and then leaned his head against hers. "You really made me worry when I saw what happened to you."

She sighed and closed her eyes slightly. *I know. To be honest..that nights hazy because of my blood loss. It's why I was so shocked you were with me the whole time. It...definitely felt like I was battling myself, just trying to hold onto my life.*

Lucas kissed the top of her hair and hushed her softly. "You wouldn't let me go, even if I wanted to leave." He hummed quietly. "I wouldn't let you go knowing that you were in pain." He whispered.

She rested her head against his, relaxing slightly. *A part of me always thought you'd walk by if you ever saw me like that. Pains pain, as all of us have it.* She whispered softly.

Lucas shook his head. "I would never do that. You- I would never do that. If anything, I would pick you up and carry you home." He said and rubbed her back.

*Thats so kind though. And after all of our arguments, fights, and...* She sighed as she looked away.

Lucas hummed. "And what else?" He asked, moving away from her hair from her eyes almost effortlessly. "You can say it." He said with a gentle smile.

*All the times we've annoyed each other?* She chuckled softly. *The little tricks of trying to catch each other in some way?* She smiled as she hesitantly met his gaze.

Lucas moved her closer before he looked at her more closely. "You have to know by now that I've annoyed you because I like you." He said and then smiled. "You could never catch me, though." He chuckled.
