Imani licked her jaws hungrily. "That sounds like a wonderful idea." She said, picking up her pace to a trot. "I can organize the hunting patrol if you would like, I'll go ahead and go with them, I haven't gone on one in a while."

"Okay, do whatever you'd like my darling." He said, an lowered his head in a playful bow, chuckling a bit. As the two entered camp, the Pride were going about daily activities, and the cubs were as playful as ever. "Pride." He said, his voice sounding above all others, "It is time to eat!" At that moment, all attention was directed into the prey pile, where the antelope from yesterday remained. As King and Queen, they got their own meal, ehile everyone shared the rest. Zeus went and pulled a medium sized carcass towards Imani. The whole thing for just the two of them. He dug in and took a large bite, savoring its taste, and gave a bloody smile towards Imani, invitimg her in.

Imani rolled her eyes at Zeus and gathered around the carcass he had drug out. She smiled back at him and took a bite of the carcass. She glanced over at the rest of the pride, who was eating as well. She took another deep breath to steady herself, hoping that ruling a pride would be easier than it sounded.

Once Zeus had ate his fill, he rose to his paws, and after givimg Imani a quick nuzzle, he went to address the Pride. "Today we'll have two patrols, one border and one hunting." He paused, waiting for their attention. "Imani will gather her patrol, and I'll be organizing the Border Patrol. Leo, Sherlock, and Aslan will be doing the border Patrol." He then paused and looked over the apprentice's. His gaze fell upon Zion's eldest son, who had just barely began growing a mane, only a line of tuft lay on his head. "And take Fang with you." He said, welcoming the smile of suprise from Fang. "Imani," he turned to his mate, "after you." He then moved to yhe side to let her address the pride.

Imani listened intently as Zeus addressed the pride, and air of authority surrounding him. Imani tried to muster the same tone of voice as she opened her jaws to speak.

"Kesi, Neema, and Zahra will join me for the hunting patrol." Her voice came out quieter than she had hoped, and she tried to hide her embarassment from the rest of the pride.

He joined her side. "Dismissed." He said, his tone heavy. The Pride broke off apprentices doing their duties, and the lions leaving for the border Patrol. The only ones that remained were the three lionesses that Imani had called to hunt with her. "Well, what are you waiting for?" He said with a smile, and brushed his tail over her nose as he left to do his duties. "Good luck." He whispered, and went towards the nursery to talk with the mothers, and their cubs.

Imani cast him a nervous glance, but joined the lionesses despite her rolling stomach. She was starting to regret eating.

"Come along." Imani said, keeping her head high as she took the lead of the group.

"The antelope herd should still be close, we'll track them and try to catch a few." She said, looking back at the lionesses for their approval.

They only nodded their heads in agreement, not saying anything. Imani turned around quickly, trying to maintain her composure. This was definetly going to be harder than she thought.

The group tracked down the herd, which was on the outskirts of the territory and went for a few of the older memebers, taking down three of them before Imani called off the hunt.
"Good job guys." She said, grabbing one of the antelope carcasses. "Let's head back." She said, her voice muffled from the fur in her mouth.

While Imani was away, Zeus talked to the mothers, got them anything they needed, to their suprise. Did Ares do anything? He played with the cubs for a bit, them all excited about playing with the King. He went and talked with the healer, and let him examine his wounds, which were healing great. He got the healer a meal, then left, with a quick congratulations. He checked in with other Pride members, who seemed happier then under their rule with Ares. As the border Patrol returned, with no news besides that they chased out hyenas, and saw a heard of dik-dik, nothing was interesting. As soon as he finished with the border Patrol, the hunting party was back, and he waited for them to enter camp before walking up to them. "Looks like the hunt went well." He said with a smile, examining their catch.

Imani entered camp with her group and their catch. She smiled when she saw Zeus walking up to them.

"It was." She said, lying her catch in the pile, moving to stand next to Zeus.

"Anything to report from the border patrol?"

"Nothing really, just chased out hyenas and saw a dik-dik herd. Fang did well too." He said, looking to the apprentice's direction. He felt a maternal instinct towards him, and he wandered what it would be like to have a son, and cubs, who he could raise himself, the right way. He smiled at the thought, wondering what it would be like to raise a family with Imani. "Well, we've finished everything we've needed to do." He said, looking towards Imani. He swiped his sheathed paw playfully at her nose, "Bet you can't catch me!" He said, then took off out of camp, inviting her on a chase.
