Black Rose jumped when Chase entered her mind and nearly smacked her head on the large rock she was curled around. "What? Chase? How- I don't- how are you here? Are you trying to haunt me?" She asked before she curled up. "It probably is my fault that you died. I'm cursed, Chase. My father knew it and now I know it too." She looked down and felt her vision turn blurred from her tears. "I don't know how I thought I could live a small life with you." She flattened her ears. "I don't know how I thought anything could happen when I'm around." She held back her tears whilst her body shook.

Chase sighed, "I need you to tell the truth. To be honest, I'm the clumsiest wolf on the planet. Tell the truth and I may return..." he chuckled slightly, wagging, "I have no clue how I'm here, but I guess that's one of the strengths of being dead," he muttered sadly.

Black Rose laughed sadly. "You were adorable when you rolled around and acted like a pup." She smiled but her body didn't stop shaking. "I know it's not my fault you died, but I feel like it is. I could have picked you up and taken you back to your pack without you ever getting hurt.."

Chase wagged, "I'm a pup at heart.." he felt himself begin to fade, "I hope to see you at some point again.." soon he felt odd, he felt a stiff soreness in his neck, and when he turned to lap at the spot he tasted blood, This wasn't here earlier... he thought, confused. hase got to his paws, shaking out his pelt and walked around. He was back in camp, it was warmer, unlike the cold, lifeless depth he had spent what felt like an eternity in earlier. "Hello?" Chase called out, "Can anyone hear me?"

Black Rose blinked when Chase faded away. She felt herself shiver when he left but felt bad for his leave. She already missed his voice. His sweet, charming voice that helped her fall for him. She purred quietly on instinct when she thought of him but shook it off when she knew that he was gone. She wasn't going to see him again, she knew that, as he was dead and she was not.

Chase saw Oakley the healer and padded over to him, "Oakley! It's Chase! I'm alright!" he called. Oakley turned around, his amber eyes were wide with shock, "Chase!" he rushed over, "Thank god you're alright." Chase touched noses with him, "I have thanked god many times over, trust me" he chuckled, "Where's Rose?" "She's in your den" Oakley waved his tail to point incase Chase had forgotton, but Chase had already sprinted off. He ducked through the vines of ivy over the den entrance, "Rose?"

Chase chuckled, "I needed you to be true to yourself before you could be true to me, so I asked you to tell the truth and I somehow came back" his voice was full of confusion, though he was the one who experienced the whole thing. "Anyways, was Oakley there for you when I was gone?" he touched his nose to her shoulder.

Black Rose smiled. She smiled. He was there, alive, right in front of her. "Thank God you're back. I would be so lonely without you." She told him and nuzzled his shoulder. She was so happy to have him back. "Oakley? You mean the one that was healing you? Why do you ask?"

"He's the healer, and part of his job is to look after everyone," Chase nuzzled her back. "Besides, it was creepy being back with my parents" he shivered at the thought.
