Jake nods and opens one of the streaming apps and says, "Well I guess we can see what is popular to other people right now." Once the app was opened he searches "Horror movies" and clicks through the popular ones. "Any of these sound good," he asks Skylar, glancing at him as he then looks back at the TV. He honestly didn't care which one they watched but he wanted Skylar's opinion before he chose one at random.

Skylar watched the tv as Jake went through the horror movies. Jake had scrolled past one of Sky's favourites, but he was to scared to say anything because of judgement. "We could maybe pick one of the classics, like Halloween or scream." Sky said, he paused and looked at Jake. "Unless you dont like those." Sky then added. You could tell he was nervous. He started playing with his hand and looked back at the tv, hoping Jake would just pick.

"A classic is always good," Jake says with a nod at Skylar's suggestion. He glanced over at him again and could tell that he was nervous. -Probably because this is a new place,- he thinks, -plus the fact that I am a cop and still kind of a stranger to him.- He then clicks over to the first classic horror film he sees, Halloween. It had been a while since he had seen this movie, back in high school was the last time he saw it, so he was kind of happy to watch the classic again.

Skylar smiled slightly when Jake had picked halloween and he was also relived. Sky then thought to himself, well this is awkward... am I being awkward. Sky stayed silent but there were many thoughts racing through his mind. He stayed still and silent and just kept staring at the tv as the movie started.

As the movie started Jake stays silent for a minute before shifting to stand. "I'm going to get a drink," he says to Skylar, "do you want anything before the movie gets too far?" He walks around the back of the couch, to not block the other's view, and goes into the kitchen to find something to drink. He debated on making some microwaved popcorn for them to eat, but wasn't sure if Skylar would want some or not.

Skylar slightly watched as Jake got up and walked away from the couch. "Some water if that's alright," Sky said politely as he looked over at Jake and then back at the TV. He would prefer the water to be cold, but he didn't want to ask for it specifically, it would make him seem picky.

Jake nodded and got a glass out of the cabinet for Skylar's water. He then put some ice from the fridge's ice dispenser in it before then filling it up with some cool water. He then stood there, trying to figure out a drink for himself, for a minute before deciding on drinking one of the bottles of lemonade he had in the fridge. Once he had all of these things he walked back around the back of the couch to his seat and set the drinks on the coffee table in front of them. He then watched the movie after opening his lemonade and getting a sip before putting the lid back on it and putting it back on the table.

Skylar patiently waited for Jake to come back with the drinks. "Thanks," Sky said as Jake sat his water down on the coffee table. Skylar then sat up and leaned over to grab his water for a drink. He took a big sip, per usual and then sat it down. He leaned back again, to get comfortable.

"No problem," Jake replies back at Skylar's thanks, "you are my guest after all." He then adjusts how he is sitting to be comfortable enough for his liking and looks at the TV to continue watching the movie. He enjoyed the movie for the most part, as it was a part of his childhood, but also enjoyed the fact that he was able to hang out with Skylar. Something about Skylar made Jake feel happy to be around him and just to hang out with him more.

Skylar continued to watch the movie. The silence was loud, but the noise of the movie helped. Skylar quickly glanced at Jake as he fixed his seating a bit. He crossed his arm and kept watching the movie, knowing they probably wouldn't take throughout it.
