This earned a smile on my face and I tried not to laugh. He described her reaction to the alpha almost perfectly. "Maybe before I bring my parents in tomorrow I should explain their view based on what I currently know." I said, "That way I can kind of explain myself and also sort of ask you to stay away from a certain area of your map, if you let me explain," I asked then turned to kaolin "If you want me to be there let me know now otherwise I will probably go into further detail of the situation?" I asked her and turned to the chief to see if he was okay with this is Kaolin didn't need me. I was juggling things right now.

Cheif nodded, "That sounds perfect." He then turned to me, "You need to learn a thing or two from him." I covered my face with my hands very embarrassed now, "Im fine Tobey go do your thing. Ill find you sooner or later once im done." I then uncovered my face and turned to Cheif, "I promise i will do something if you tell him anything about me that is embarrassing or just plain anything." I then whistled for Blue and once he was by my side i kissed Tobey's cheek before flying off. I sighed, now for mom. When i got back to her house she was outside waiting for me. When i landed and got off Blue she came and wrapped me in a hug. I pushed away, "Mommmm! You know i don't like hugs." She sighed and let go, "I know, and im sorry. Im just worried about your father." My eyes went wide, "Is he okay?!" She looked down, "The doctors say he will live but he's hurt very bad. He will probably be in the hospital for a while." I bit my lip, i wanted to go see him but i knew i needed to tell mom about moving. Then again i dont know if this was the right time. "Im going to go see him but i need to talk to you sometime." She nodded and i got back on Blue and flew off. My heart raced, what had happened? Would he truly be okay?

I took a big breath, "how about we go somewhere more private because this is a long and personal story," I suggested and he led me somewhere. "bare with me this is a lot," I said as we sat down

I grew up in a Viking tribe where dragons are considered the devil's spawn. I also grew up on a farm farther away from the village so we had to defend ourselves. So unfortunately I had killed a few smaller ones in my younger years. My family had this big thing against hating traders and just not interacting with them and never even going down to the village shops only for scrap metal. So I learned to fight and even learned a bunch of trades before I turned 15, but hold on we are getting somewhere.

Not long after I turned 15, only a few days after in fact, I found a large injured dragon near the watering hole that my family fished out of and did other chores in. At first, I went down with the intent to kill it, but I was terrified, this dragon was in no position to harm me and clearly only wanted to get away. Well young me was reckless and fixed the dragon up and formed a bond with it, that was the Dragon you saw and is known as King. I never tamed him, he is not tame and is still completely wild. He is extremely possessive and protective over me because I saved his life and he wants to return the favor is my best guess.

Back on topic again, no one in my village knew about King, not even my parents. One day I took him to the watering hole with me and some kids had wandered too far from the village and were on our farmland and playing in our pond. They saw me, and they saw this giant dragon behind me, so they ran off screaming bloody mary. When people supposedly came to "rescue" me because I was being "attacked" I foolishly defended King and told them that he wasn't attacking me and I trust him. They told me I was possessed by the devil himself and banished for interacting with his spawn.

My parents weren't here for any of this, I was only 15 and I am now 22. I was gone for 7 years, and just a few days ago I finally snuck back onto the island to try and visit them. I learned they were devastated, they knew it was impossible because I never acted any differently. they described me as if anything I had been happier before the incident, so they made the realization that dragons weren't that bad and the ones showing up on our farm and stealing our things were just starving. They excluded themselves from the village, they didn't associate themselves with the village anymore.

I found out the day I disappeared was the day my parents were going to tell me I was going to have a sibling. My mother ended up giving birth to twin boys, who aren't big fans of dragons and they don't know I exist. But tomorrow, Kaolin and I are going to go pick them up and bring them here.

I finished explaining and only hoped he didn't ask where I had been all the 7 years. I would tell him but only if he asked.

The cheif nodded at Tobey's request and brought him to his house. There he listened to Tobey and got quite intrigued. When Tobey had finished he stayed quiet for a moment before speaking up, "Thank you for filling me in, and im sure your family will fit in just fine. Your little brothers will most likely learn to love dragons. But i do have a couple of questions, You said you would like me to stay away from a certain area, but why? And where would that be? And the last question is, if you dont mind, Where will you and Kaolin be living?"

I practically burst into my father's room where he was staying. He weakly smiled when he saw me. "I was wondering when you might come." He said weakly. Tears flowed down my face as i ran to his bed side. I gently hugged him and he weakly rubbed my back. When i finally let go i just sat down in a nearby chair. After a couple minutes dad spoke up, "What's on your mind my baby girl?" I laughed out of sadness. "Is it alright if i talk? And you literally forget everything?" He smiled weakly again, "Of course. Im always here for you." I smiled slightly before jumping into my adventure. I could tell he was shocked when i told him about Tobey but it was nice to get everything off my chest to someone who had known me my whole life. Once i was done i went and stood by him. "What happened for you to get this hurt?" His smile faded, "I was walking home when i accidentally tripped over a dragon's tail. It was no one's fault, just an accident." I nodded, not quite believing what i loved, had hurt my father so badly. "Im going to stay with you as much as i can, but i also have stuff i have to do so ill have to leave once in a while." He nodded, "Dont worry about me, im going to be fine." He said, his weak smile returning. I smiled slightly before sitting back down in the chair.

I cursed in my head and pulled out my book with the map folded in it. Amora tried to play with it for a second

"Amora, back down," I said with a little bit of a growl in my voice she backed off with her head down and I pet her head as a reward. I pulled out the map ad unfolded it, in the book was a bunch of badly drawn dragons that I rarely got to see because they were either new or rare.

"The entire 7 years I was gone I lived amongst dragons in a colony made of ice. As I told you before I know a lot of trades and everything I furnished my parent's home with I made myself. Their blankets, bed frames, rugs, pillows, and furniture, were all made by me. Well, I put my skills to work and I live amongst an ice colony of dragons with a frozen alpha. After King brought me the Alpha changed my scent so all dragons now just see me as this weird hybrid thing." I pointed to the spot on the map where the colony was located "It's located here, the question I used to test you was still a test but I wanted to know if I should even mention it. The colony is completely untouched by "humans" until I brought Kaolin in so I could heal her up. All of these dragons are completely wild, as you probably know when dragons are tamed they don't know much about their special abilities because they have to be taught by their parents," I said and paused "everything on this map that has a little dragon head symbol is a colony of wild dragons, anything dragon head with a circle also has an alpha. I only mark colonies if the numbers are large enough to even consider a colony." I explained and looked up at him after explaining it all.

The cheif looked at the map and nodded. Once Tobey was finished he nodded again, "Im guessing thats where you and Kaolin will be living? But i will do as you ask and leave those parts alone. Im a bit worried though, how have the dragons not attacked Kaolin if she dosent have the sent?"

Mom walked in, still very much worried. She went over to Dad and gave him a kiss before coming to my side. The kiss reminded me of Tobey, and also made me realize i should probably tell her now. Just as i was about to speak Mom spoke, "On the way here i saw this huge young man with the cheif! I wonder if he's moving in." My eyes went wide, shoot, she had seen Tobey. "Actually umm mom, that man is actually....my boyfriend...." Her eyes went wide, "Impossible. You dont have any friends." I sighed, why couldn't someone just be happy for me already? Blue was upset, Cheif was upset and now mom was. Atleast Dad had tooken it well for the most part. "Its true mom. He saved me when i had gotten hurt because of a storm. While he took care of me we fell in love. And now im helping him move his family into the village.....And then im moving in with him." She looked like she was going to cry. Dad sighed, "Come here sweetheart." She did as he was told and they hugged. He whispered into her ear. She began to cry somewhat but finally let go from the hug and looked at me. "I don't know what to say, but i wish you good luck." She said, wiping tears away. She then pulled me into a hug. "Remember, even though your an adult we will always be here for you. And dont be afraid to come back if something happens." I sighed, hugging her back. "I know mom, but nothing will happen." After we had hugged for a bit we just all sat there, all in our own little world but wanting to be together. I was silently scolding myself for telling Dad all the details about me and Tobey but it was to late now. I just hoped everything would be okay.

"The scent the alpha put on me might have rubbed off on her when she wore my clothes since hers were bloody. So the dragons probably smell my scent on her and assume she is a hybrid too." I explained "That and she did use the water at the colony to freshen up and get the blood and sand out of her wounds so the scent of the colony is on her as well." I realized. I hoped she was doing okay, she met my parents pretty quickly I didn't want her to feel pressured to introduce me to her parents.

The cheif nodded, feeling better about the situation. "Well unless there's anything eles you need to say i have to get back to work. And i would suggest you go find Kaolin. She might be a little sad, just warning you and youll probably find her around or in the hospital." The cheif then got up and escorted Tobey out.

I sighed, i needed Blue and some fresh air. Blue wasn't allowed to come in for obvious reasons but i was really needing cuddles. Then again i would gladly take them from Tobey but i wasn't sure if he was done and didn't want to bother him. "Im going to get some fresh air." I said finally before walking out of the hospital. Blue was instantly by my side. I sat down against the wall of the hospital and Blue came in for rhe cuddles. I laughed out of sadness before closing my eyes to enjoy the cuddles.

I walked out of the chief's house with Amora in my arms again, I walked around for a bit. The entire time I was trying to find the hospital, eventually, I spotted Kaolin and smiled. I frown appeared on my face when I saw the look on her face. She was clearly upset so I quickly walked up to her and sat next to her,

"Is everything okay?" I asked as I rubbed the small of her back. I had a concerned look on my face, I look at her with worry. "I'm here for you, you know that,"

I was too busy focusing on Blue to notice Tobey had found me. I jumped slightly when he sat down beside me but when i realized it was him i threw my arms around him. I tried to hold my tears in but just couldn't, "Oh Tobey! My Dad is very hurt. The doctors say hes probably going to survive but he will never be the same. And they didn't even bother to tell me what that meant! And if you see him you can tell he's in pain, and yet he went out of his way to make sure mom wasn't going crazy because i had a boyfriend! He acts all tough like i do but i knew hes hurting! And there's nothing i can do to help except stay with him, which he seems to enjoy but thats not the point. And my mind is running on high alert because i was scared and accidentally told him literally everything about our relationship and he hasn't even seen you!" Tears flowed down my face buy i laughed, "And my stupid mind keeps going back to our kiss because mom and Dad did when they saw eachother!" I laughed out of frustration before nuzzling my head into Tobey.
