"Fair enough." Knox said to himself. He checked the time on his phone and then remembered his promise to his mom. He got up and left the dorm wanting some fresh air. He pulled his phone out when he left the room and pulled up his mom's number and called her not caring who heard the beginning of there conversation.

"Hey mom." He said. He heard the dog park in the background. She must have put it on speaker. "Hi knox! who's your dorm mate? what's the campus like?" Natalie asked him. At this point he was almost to the building doors. " the campus is awesome. Large but cool. How's things at home? How was work? " he replied back. He heard his mother sigh and listened while his mother told him all about her day. "Ok but knox?" She asked with a hint of annoyance and concern in her voice. " Yeah? " he asked hoping she forgot about the dorm mate question. "who's your dorm mate?" She asked. He took a breath and tried to think about how to word it. He looked around and saw a soccer field nearby and kept a mental note of its location. " Hey um remember Embry from high school? " he asked. If course she did why did I say that. "He's my dorm mate. He didn't seemed to thrilled to be my dorm mate either when I tested something to see If it really was him." He told his mom all about the interaction then she gave him her motherly advice. Ya know the normal motherly stuff. After that they said there good byes and he ended up walking over to his truck to grab something.

He grabbed a soccer ball he decided to have in his truck in case he needed it and sent to that field he noticed while talking with his mom. In his way over he put his ear buds in and played music.

He had been practicing soccer for an hour maybe and it was around dinner so he went back to his truck and placed the soccer ball in the back and placed his jacket on the seat next to him before he pulled out and sent to McDonald's. He assumed Embry would be hungry so he decided to get two cheeseburgers. When he pulled back into the parking lot he checked his schedule. Music in the morning soccer in the afternoon. Doesn't sound to bad. He got out of the truck and grabbed the McDonald's and headed to his dorm room

Embry had been on his phone for about 10 minutes before deciding to take a nap. After all, it was a long day. He couldn't help but think about Knox while falling asleep. Maybe it would just be better if he became friends with him again. He was sure he didn't like him anymore so it wouldn't be a problem. He thought about the whole situation while drifting off to sleep. It was around dinner time when he fell asleep but he was too tired to even think that he was hu gry.

When he got up to the dorm he opened the door and found Embry sleeping he put the cheeseburger on Embry's dresser for him. He left and sent to the kitchen area for there floor and sat at the table while he texted his friends and are his food. When he was done he threw the wrapper away, grabbed a water bottle and went to his dorm and laid down in his bed

Embry woke up as he heard someone walk in but he didn't move. He pretended he was asleep until the person left. It was probably Knox he thought as he heard the door close. He opened his eyes and sat up on his bed. He looked at his dresser noticing the McDonalds. Oh shit bro got me a cheeseburger. He jolted up from his bed walking over to his dresser. He grabbed the cheeseburger and started munching on it before going back to his bed. He sat down to finish his cheeseburger. Once he did he wrote a note. Thanks for the cheeseburger. He left the note on his bed somewhere before going back to sleep.

When he looked over at some point over at Embry's bed he noticed a piece of paper on the end of his bed. Knox got up and read the note, "Thanks for the cheeseburger." He went over to his dresser where he remembered putting a pen down when he was unpacking. He found it over by a picture of him with his parents and dog at there old house back in the UK before everything happened with his dad. He picked it up and wrote something underneath Embry's thank you, "Your welcome." He placed it over on Embry's dresser knowing he would find it there sooner or later. He checked the time on his phone, 9:30 pm. He put his phone down on his bed and grabbed a towel, hoodie and a pair of sweatpants and made his way to the showers.

When he came back it was 10:30 maybe. He didn't care or at least was to tired to care. He hung his towel somewhere out of the way then went over to his bed. He plugged his charger in and then his phone into the charger and went to sleep.

Embry drifted off into the night. He ended up dreaming of Knox. He dreamt about how handsome he still was. He thought maybe they could restart their friendship, hoping he was single. Maybe Em still liked him or this was just his dream of talking to him. The next morning he ended up waking up pretty early, before Knox. He looked over at the sleeping boy and smiled a bit. He grabbed a towel and walked to the dorm showers. He took a nice shower, making it cold at the end to wake him up. He gave his hair a quick dry before wrapping the towel around his waist. He then made his way back to his dorm. He didn't think this through, unless Knox was still asleep how would he get changed? Oh well, there was nothing he could do now. He got to his dorm, walking in as quietly as possible. Dammnit he's awake. Panic struck his eyes as he gave him an awkward smile. "Morning." Embry said quietly as he walked over to his dresser.

when Knox woke up he noticed Embry gone. He didn't think much.of it so he grabbed his phone and checked messages his friends went in the night before switching to tik tok. He wasnt sure how much time passed when he heard the door open. "Morning." He heard Embry say. " Oh um good morning. " he said as he noticed the awkward situation they were in. "I'll just turn this way." He added sounding awkward as he pointed towards the wall opposite of Embrys side of the room.
