Leroys ears perked up as he heard movement inside, finally their visitor was awake. With the fear she showed earlier, he deemed her no threat but Sam was there to make sure it stayed that way just in case. "Hello sleeping beauty," he spoke as she emerged, keeping a similar soft tone that he used with the pup earlier as to not frighten her further.
The brute let out a low chuckle as she fired questions at him again, shaking his head a bit. The pup from earlier came bounding towards the three of them, answering one of her questions. "Welcome to pack Hannalore, Heart. I am Leroy, the pup is Violet, and this," his tail motioned towards Sam. "-is Sampson, my beta." He introduced to her, tipping his head slightly as a sign of respect. Again, this was to hopefully help calm her. "Please, call me Sam," his beta spoke, showing her a grin.
"You're far into the mountains for a loner, are you lost?" He ask her, Leroy's intent was to understand how she came to be into their territory without knowing. Possibly near the river? He'd have to mark it again soon to prevent this from happening again, the wrong people crossing could cause an issue for the pack in the future.
Violet had her own intentions, beginning to playfully swat at the tails of all three wolves. When she got behind them to do so was a mystery to the Brute. He smirked as he swished his tail around to make it more difficult for her, earning a pouncing pup pinning his tail to the ground momentarily after. She seemed pleased with herself afterwards, howling a little baby howl into the sky as she hadn't quite gained her 'big girl howl' as her mother called it. |

Heart blushed at the sleeping beauty comment, and stutteres"I uh, have a nose problem, scents have to be REALLY strong for me to pick them up..." Heart tipped her head in respect back hoping she didn't overshare a abnormality. She swung her head back pushing her facial fur away from her eyes. "I was following a rabbit scent and I guess I strayed way further from home than I thought. I live in the plains below the mountains..." Heart chuckled at the playfulness of the pup, it had been awhile since she'd seen any of wolf who didn't immediately try to attack her. "Sorry about earlier I don't know why I passed out" she shook her head. Her stomach turned painfully inside out with hunger "It's nice to meet you all but uh, I am starving..."

Leroy noticed her blush but ignored it and listened as she spoke about her nose problem, how she got through life without something so vital bewildered him. A wolfs nose was how they found prey, kept aware of their surroundings, and so on. "You're a very nervous type of she wolf aren't you." He observed, his bluntness showing its head finally.
Violet ran off, bored of the tails she bore a victory over. Now she would be off to make trouble elsewhere, probably to cause a headache to her mother. Pups were an interesting thing, Violet especially. Leroy watched as she jolted into a den a bit further from the three of them.
The brute shook his thoughts, turning his full attention towards Heart as she mentioned the word starving. "Right, my apologies. Follow me," he got up, not awaiting a reply from her. He had a bad habit of that, Sampson hated it so much that Leroy had to actively curve it as best as he could when speaking to him. He made his way over to an area shaded by leaves of a tall trees, underneath it was a carcass from a caribou which had clearly been something the pack had been sharing for a few days now.
Leroy didn't hesitate, beginning to rip into the side of the carcass where the last lot of meat was. There was enough for him and Heart but Sam wouldn't get any. The pack would have to do a big hunt again this evening to fix the issue but for now, the brute knew Sam was capable of hunting for a fox or something to delay his hunger. |

Heart raised an eyebrow at the bluntness of Leroy's comments but food was a hair more important than being offended and her mouth had already began salivating at the thought of food. She rushed to follow Leroy her skinny legs padding softly on the fresh mountain terrain , this male seemed a smidge too authoritative for her liking but he DID have the food AND the title to act that way.
When they got to the caribou carcass Hearts eyes darted to Sam who wasn't eating. "You can have it if you want, I'll be fine" Heart pushed the hunger down as she had down her entire life. Her body was very lean and you could make out her ribs and almost count them if you looked hard enough but her paws were massive for her body size and she could outrun any deer she'd ever been able to track.
"Uh about what you said earlier, I'm not a nervous wolf I'm a CAUTIOUS wolf, I may not have the best sniffer but I'm fast and pay good attention to detail... normally." She muttered the last part in a punishing way. She should of known. She should of paid WAY better attention to the details. Surely there were signs of the territory belonging to this pack. |

Leroy tore into the meat in front of him, enjoying the fullness it quickly provided him. While he ate, he looked on at the other two, watching silently as Sampson declined her offer politely. The beta wolf made himself scarce afterwards, slinking into the woods to find himself a treat.
The brutes attention snapped towards Heart as she spoke, losing all interest in his pretty much finished meal for the moment. "In my book, cautious and nervous go hand in hand." He replied to her, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his large frame. His rough northern accent poked out quite a bit when he spoke that phrase, contradicting his usual mellifluous tone.
Leroy stretched his limbs in the silence, a yawn escaping him as he dug his nails into the grass and dirt below them. Today has been eventful and long, at least more so than compared to normal for him and his pack. |

Heart rolled her eyes at the wolfs comment, "Nervousness is rooted in fear, while being cautious is rooted in thinking practically" she remarked with a grin before devolving into the tender juicy caribou meat there wasn't much left out she wouldn't eat much anyways as it would of made her sick. She hadn't tasted such big game since her mother passed. It was a refreshing change for squirrel and rabbit.
"So uh, your pack seems different from the ones I've uh met... I don't think anyone has ever offered a meal let alone purposefully brought me into their territory... why did you bring me here?" She tried to keep the questions short as she sat next to Leroy. There was a pleasant spring breeze blowing and it made her fur a little scruffy. Her paws ached from running now and she laid on the grass gently wrapping her tail around her body. |

Leroy let out a huff of contentness as the breeze ruffled his fur, enjoying the silence while it lasted. Heart quickly broke it, surprising the brute considering the food laying in front of her. She was lecturing him! Him of all wolves! He was too stunned to even argue with her, she was brave he would give her that. Especially considering she was on his pack lands.
"I strive myself on the kindness this pack provides, not to mention, you didn't seem like a threat nor did you seem stupid enough to challenge two large males who put said pack before their own lives." Leroy replied to her, putting everything simply. To him, this answered all the questions she had fired at him. To be honest, a stranger was a nice welcomed distraction from being alpha. As much as the brute enjoyed his life and pack, breaks were just as necessary for him as it were for others. |

Heart flicked her tail in contentedly. It WAS nice to just relax for once instead of having to constantly think about her next meal or invaders. "You must not get many visitors up here, in the valley it's always been a bloodbath for any scraps or prey" She tried to not overspeak or bring up her old pack as much as possible but Leroy's generosity intrigued her. Why would any alpha be so kind? And was she to go back to her burrow after this? Back to solitude? "Where is the rest of your pack?" Blackheart jumped to her paws stretching out her massive paws the muscles in her legs seemed to protrude from her small figure, her tail wagged slightly and she felt content. The aching seemed to of faded during her conversation with Leroy. For once there was no pain or hunger to worry about and she was starting to get antsy. She noticed Sam had disappeared and wondered where he went but decided her question was big enough already and could be taken wrongly but she hoped Leroy saw the good intentions. |

((Sorry for my delay, here you are!)) Leroy chuckled as she mentioned the fighting cowards in the valley, the truth was his pack was probably some of the cause for the scarceness of the game down there. His pack often held large hunts as one big group to bring down any of the larger game around the mountains, it helped that rarely did certain creatures leave the mountains like some of the large cats roaming around here. Though he'd admit, those cats could be dangerous if a wolf was alone or young.
"My pack enjoys the solitude away from the valley cowards, most of the wolves down there can barely fight or hunt. Up here, even mothers are trained warriors or hunters." The brute spoke the truth, enjoying a chance to educate this she wolf on the differences between the mountain wolves and the valley wolves. Southerners always were eager to understand things they could barely comprehend, Heart seemed different to him in a way though. He just couldn't pin how yet.
"The pack is spread out someways currently, the mothers and pups like the one you saw today are probably out causing chaos right about now. Everyone else is just enjoying the nice weather by the river is my guess." Leroy answered her, standing up and shaking his pelt out. "Would you like to go see what the fuss is about?" He asked her, enjoying the change of company. |

(Your fine XD) Hearts ear pearled up at the mention of a river. It had been so long since she had tasted the sweet skin of a salmon. But his comment about packs not being able to fight well in the valley lead heart to believe that Leroy hadn't know about Moonrocks vicious pack and the terrors they carried out. Ripping freshly born pups from den mothers to eat or use as toys for alpha pups, the pure evil that they were as a whole was repulsive. The thought of it made Heart sick to her stomach and she just wanted to stop thinking about it so she pushed in deep inside. "I'd love to!" Heart shook the thoughts out of her head as she beckoned for Leroy to show the way. Her tail wagged freely in the spring air, the dandelions were vibrant as the sun against the green earth. And Heart hopes that the rest of the pack would be as kind.. |
