Alar looked up to see the new servant had walked in, and quickly covered the dragon egg which was leaning agaist his bed frame, with his bedsheets, swiftly with the flick of his ankle. He was worried it was a little mis-timed, but went on as normal. "Hello, you must be the new servant?" He asked, even though he already knew almost for sure it was. As he heard a small crack, he worried it was the egg, but his eyes just widened slightly and he sat there nervously, waiting for her to respond. ~~~ (Sorry it's kinda short)

Amara didnt look up as she was spoken to, not seeing the quick movement he had made. When he asked if she was the new servant, she gave a small nod. "Y-yes sir" she replied. She kept her eyes to the ground, even when she heard a small cracking sound. She worried it might be her egg, though it hadnt moved, she she assumed he had one himself. *Dont look, or ask* she had to tell herself. "W-where would you like me to start" she asked. Her voice shook as last time she asked, she was beaten for not already knowing, though how could she know when she hadnt been told.

Alar heard another crack, worried that his egg was hatching, knowing he had to be there but unable to move. After all, he wasn't supposed to have it. His father wanted him to focus on studies, and getting ready to take the position of king one day, but he wished to have nothing to do with it. He panicked, remaining to act as calm as possible. He slowly shut his journal, plancing his fountain pen next to the small bowl of ink. "I need nothing at the moment, thank you." He told her with a neutral tone to his voice. He stood up slowly, only to look down and see that this had caused the egg to roll out from underneath the bed.

Amara didnt look up before she spoke again. "Apologies if I am speaking out of place" she started. "May I" she asked as she motioned towards the cracking sound before she revealed that she had an egg with her as well, not wanting him to think she was going to harm the egg at all. She was hesitant as to what he would think of her asking, but she also stayed looking down, knowing it could be a beating if she upset him in any way.
