Scarlett wasnt used to cafeterea food. Her mother always gave her a lunch to bring.

Scarlett had zoned out when her name was called and she shooke her head. " Huh? Oh yeah im fine. I just.... im not used to this. My mother used to give me lunch at my previous school. So its gonna be hard to get used to"

she sat down next to him and sighed " Im Scarlett. I noticed that you were in both of my classes so far. I have music next after lunch. What about you?". She wanted to start a small and friendly conversation without sounding weird and out of place.

She gave him another smile before begining to eat the food she was given. Not the best around, but it would have to do for now.

Leo nodded understandingly before leaning back on his chair. He was quite relaxed around here, it wasn't as daunting as the other schools he started at on his first day. Although Leo knew, bullying would be round the corner at some point. It always happened, so this school would be no different. "I'm Leo, nice to meet you Scarlett," he said quietly, eating some of his food at a slower pace. He never really ate much, so he just took his time.

As he glanced about the cafeteria, he noticed a group of students whispering and staring. With a quick roll of his eyes, Leo glanced back to the new girl infront of him. "I have music too," he replied, smiling gently back to her before flicking his eyes back to the group. Oh no, they're heading right this way. His eyes widened with concern as the group stopped right infront of their table.

"Mind if we sit down and accompany you two?" A girl asked, sending a flirtatious smile in Leo's direction. He cleared his throat before glancing over to Scarlett. "Sure, go ahead," he said in a relaxed manner, taking a sip of water as the group of girls and boys brought seats over to their table. He wasn't exactly sure what to do next.

Scarlette wasnt one for a group at lunch but she would just have to agree and let them sit down with them.

But when she saw the girl give Leo a flirtatious smile at him, shesnarled on the inside and looked at leo " i dont see why not, Leo. "

They had thirty minutes of lunch. And that was all Scarlett need to find a way to keep the girl away from Leo. Even though it was day one of school .

When the next bell rang, Scarlett stood up and looked at Leo " Come on.. walk me to class. I dont wanna miss this one" she chuckled. She didnt want the girl to know that Leo was in music class either. She had a plan to keep her away from Leo. Even if it came to a little fight.

Leo had noticed a change in behaviour from his new friend Scarlett. He finished his lunch, making small talk with the group of "popular" students that were sat with them, before glancing back to Scarlett as she spoke. He noticed that she was fairy quiet during the awkward exchange at the table, but he didn't make much of it. "Sure," he nodded, standing up and swinging his back pack on his shoulder.

The girl gently placed a hand on Leo's arm. "See you later, new boy," she grinned in a flirtatious way before she let go. Leo just smiled politely and headed towards his class with Scarlett. That was odd, to say the least. He decided to let it go in his mind and get on with his day. Leo approached the music room and entered, sitting with Scarlett and getting ready to start the class.

They reached the music room, but not before Scarlett gragged Leos arm and said, " You need to watch out, Leo... she wants you more than I do. I would be carefull. Did you see the way she touched and spoke to you?"

She realized that her job of keeping the girl away from Leo would be near to impossible. But it was do- able.

" you need to pretend that im yours. its the only way to keep that girl away for the time being. Ill do what I can. But please... I got to you first. Not her"

She then let go of his arm and walked into te classroom talking one of the seats.

As Leo entered the class, he was quickly stopped by Scarlett's hand grabbing his arm. He raised his eyebrows, shocked to hear what he was hearing. He had never felt more confused in his life. "What? I thought we were friends?" He questioned, looking to her as she spoke. What was her deal? "She was fine, there was nothing going on. It's my first day here," he scoffed, his eyes rolling as she continued to speak random stuff about pretending to be his.

He had never felt more strange in his life. Talk about school drama. He cleared his throat, heading into the classroom and trying to get on with the lesson. However, the entire time he couldn't help but be distracted with what had just happened in the hallway. A simple conversation turned into a big deal. Leo wondered what he had done wrong.

Scarlett couldnt focus on Music. Not even one minute of it. I was stupid she thought as she quickly looked at Leo before looking away. Ill just forget that conversation in the hallways never even happene and jsut on one with school. if he wants to talk about what happene, ill just let it go

She knew she would fail Music class because of this. I mean.. we are friends now... but she thought to herself.

She was in this case, embarassed and didnt want to do anything other than get school out of the way and head home. She needed alone time to think things through. She would plan to sit alone the next day at lunch.

Leo got out his notebook, looking down as he attempted to focus. He couldn't really believe what had been said still. He eventually managed to get some things down and he left the class. He attempted to speak with Scarlett, however she seemed fairly non-respondent with him, so he decided to leave her alone. The next classes he had were fairly quick and easy to complete. He wasn't entirely sure what to do now. Leo didn't really what to make friends with the "popular" group of people because they were nothing like him at all, but Scarlett seemed to be avoiding him too. So what was he supposed to do?

Scarlet went through the rest of her two classes in peace. Thinking about what she said to Leo. She made a total fool out of herself before Art and she didnt know how to handle the issue any more.

By the time the bus came, Scarlett was waiting outside. She always took the bus home, even though her mtoher wanted to pick her up instead.

When she got in, she took one of the back seats and placed her head in her hands. What have I done... she thought as the other students began to come in. I cant let him see me like this.. she thought again.

Ill just not go to school tomorrow she thought when the bus began to move to get the students back home.

Eventually, Leo finished all his classes, not hearing anything from Scarlett for the rest of the day. As he went to his locker, he saw Scarlett from outside the school. He was tempted to go over and speak to her, but he decided he probably shouldn't. Leo filled his locker with stuff needed for the next day. He strolled outside, watching as the bus filled with students. Luckily for him, Leo only lived a few blocks down the road. So it was easy for him to get back without using the bus. As he walked past the bus again, Leo noticed Scarlett again in the bus window. He quickly looked away so he didn't make eye contact before walking home. Leo was unsure as to how he was supposed to make friends around this place.
