Her parents came into the house and got comfortable

" So what brings you here, mom? Pops?" Alanna asked as she gave them water. " Please tell me it isnt because f me and trying to find me a male compainion"

"Yes and no, A.J." Her mother said slowly " Its more about Jake... he needs a vet and I...we..were thinking if you knew of a hospital nearby. And could you take him? Hes not eating and needs that operation for his leg. Limping."

" Oh mother. Theres one a few blocks from here. Of course I'll take Jake over there. But maybe tomorrow, Im rather tired."

She wondered what her day would be like, since it was the weekend and she didnt have to work. " And dont worry mother, Ill find someone soon enough. I promise... or more like he will bump into me" she chuckled at the idea. And she had a good feeling that tomorrow would be the day her compaion would bump into her.

But the question was, how would it turn out and would she fall in love the same day? Only time would tell.

Miko got up and got back into his car before driving to his place in the woods. He got out grabbing his bag and the cases of water before going inside. He was greated at the door by his all black husked with blue eyes. "Good afternoon Zeus" he said as he put the water in the kitchen and rubbed his dogs head. "What do you think about coming to work to me tomorrow" he said to his dog. Zeus barked and wagged his tail. He smiled "well then let go head to bed gotta wake up early before sunrise" he said and headed to his room getting changed into shorts before going to bed Zeus jumping in bed with him and curling up. Miko soon fell asleep

Alanna gave a sigh of relief when she was finally free of her parents that night. All she had was Jake. Her parents dog. She looked at him and chuckled " You old boy. What am I gonna do with you?" she said sritching him behind the ears " COme on in bed bud. Gotta get you to the hospital. Gotta get you back to full health"

Jake barked and wagged his tail before racing u to her bedroom and onto her bed. Eyes on Alanna." Maybe you will make a new friend here, Jake" Alanna said as she got herself snuggled in and fell asleep with her arm around Jake.

Miko gets up two hours before sunrise and starts to get dressed in a white t-shirt and jeans with his combat boots. He then gets Zeus ready in his harness. Going to the kitchen to get him a water bottle and putting a blood tablet in it. Grabbing his keys and his bag with a change of scrubs. Going outside Zeus waits at the passenger door to be let in. Miko puts his stuff in the trunk and goes to open the passenger door letting Zeus in before getting in the car himself. He drives to the animal hospital and lets Zeus out grabbing his stuff out the back before heading inside to get things ready.

By morning, Alanna and Jake were ready to leave for the hospital. " Come on old boy, in the car you get. And hopefully the vet can do something about this" she ighed as she got in and turned the car on before getting out of the drive way and headed to the hospital.

Didnt take long of course since they lived a block from it. She got into a parking lot and opened the passenger door to let Jake out before walking into the building.

The building was busy that morning, so she had to wait til someone was available.

Miko recently just got done with one of the animals and went to the front desk to grab the next animals chart. Zeus came over to him and jumped up on him wagging his tail. "Not right now bud we're busy today now stay here behind the counter" he said to Zeus as he pushed him off. Zeus got down and went into the waiting area. Miko sighed putting the chart on the table going after him.

Alanna was gettin gimpatient and it showed. Jake was whining. " easy there boy.. im sure someone will come to help" she said kneeling down and scratched his ears " Just be patient"

Jake barked as she sat beside her waiting for the vet. And Alanna saw the assistant there, so she walked forward " Hey.. do you know when the vet is coming? Ive been waiting for a half hour"

"he just got done with his recent animal patient" one of the helpers said looking around for Mikola. Zeus went over to alanna pawing her softly. "Zeus leave the lady alone get over back there" he said to Zeus.

" Hey, its ok. " Alanna said kneeling down and petted Zeus " hey there bud." she said gently with a little scritch behind the ears. " I can wait then" Alanna said back. Jake was eyeing Zeus with interest, whining and barking.

" Jake, cut it out, Jake.. I know you want to make new friends, but this is nt the place, I'll take you to a dog park later. Right now we have to get you back to normal."

Alannah had a weird feeling all of a sudden. She felt that the male that worked there was eyeing her. Making her uncomfortable. She went to sit in one of the chairs. Heart racing. She then locked eyes with who she believed to be a vampire, but she would have to do more research. They suck human blood she thought.

He looked away and grabbed zues putting him back behind the counter before grabbing the papers. "Go ahead and send the next people back" he said to the lady at the front desk. She nodded and grabbed the paper "Alanna and Jake you guys are next" she said. Miko went to the back to get things set up for his next patient.
