There was a period where pain briefly flashed in her eyes. She leaned back and recovered with a smile. *Of course, I understand. And I'm just noticing that you are blushing.*

Lucas looked confused but then felt back and regretted what he had said. "Forget what I said." He said before he blushed even more. "Hey, it's not my fault, okay?" He said and looked away from her. "I'm blushing because I'm finally understanding that you're.. Someone I can trust." He said, but wanted to add something else to what he had said, and looked back at her.

She tilted her head, confusion settling on her face as she did her best to keep up with him. She chuckled softly and said, *Hey you tease me for blushing. And I thought that...we were potentially trusting each other yesterday. We did have a long day together.* She looked away from him as she bit her lip tightly.

Lucas laughed quietly. "I know, but it's really because it's cute." He admitted quietly under his breath. "I know we were, but it's hard to gain my trust." He said and then hummed before he sat up, pulled her close to him, and gave her a hug. Giving her a kiss on the cheek he added, "Oh, and if you tell anyone about this I'll make sure to leave you behind after you're seriously wounded again."

She smiled and said, *Well I'm glad that you're trusting me. And you'll know that I'll always cover your back if you're in a sticky situation.* She giggled and looked up at him. *Dont worry this is just between us.*

Lucas patted her head. "You think you can do that? Did you forget who the taller one here is?" He chuckled and then closed his eyes as he felt more at ease with her. "This better." He whispered before his breathing slowed to a more relaxed pace.

She shook his hand off and said *Will you ever stop patting me?* when she looked back at him, she smiled seeing him relax and gently rested her head against his, again resting a hand along his back and gently rubbed it to keep him calm.

Lucas smiled. "Will you ever stop rubbing my back?" He asked quietly as he didn't mind it. Another strange thing he didn't mind. "I will only stop once you can beat me in something." He said and hummed a soft tune, knowing she was near him made him happy and much calmer than what he was usually feeling.

She rolled her eyes before it hit her. *I got you to stay in one spot for an hour. I think that definitely counts.* She smirked proudly and said, *Hey as long as I get you to relax and not worry, I'm proud.*

Lucas laughed. "Alright, alright." He said and opened his eyes. "You get one thing from me. It can be anything, but only this once." He told her. "So what do you want?" He asked with another hum. "You're proud of making me relax? You really are silly." He said. "Not that I mind it." He smirked.
