Star was panting when late afternoon arrived, " That was fun" she chuckled as she, for the first time ever, nuzzled Mikael. But only for a second " I havnt had that much fun in years. Thank you, Mikael"

Dove rolled her eyes " stop calling him that.. Its dad now"

Em howled for them to come for the late mean. Star went running and couldnt wait to tell her how much fun she had. " I cant wait for tommorow, Mother" she said sitting beside her and waited to eat.

Mikael was overjoyed that Star nuzzled him after she grew tired playing with him. Looks like I'm winning her over. Good. He also smiled when Dove called him dad once again. I'm going to have to get used to that, but... I guess I can still feel good about it. Em howled for them to come and wait to eat and they walked over to Em, with Mikael nuzzling her, before giving her a playful lick. "They are definitely your daughters Em. They both took me down and I had no chance of escaping." Em chucked while Dove and Star stood up straight, proud of their accomplishment. "I think Mikael still needs more lessons mom. He could probably still learn a thing or two from you." Star said, a slight smirk on her face. Mikael stuck his tongue out at her and she returned the favor. He turned to Em, who was slightly amused by the conversation and whispered into her ear. "I think she's warming up to me." He leaned back and waited patiently, avoiding the quesitoning gaze of Star.

Star glared at her " as far as you know, sir, I can hear better than anyone. So dont think I cant hear a thing you say" she said rolling her eyes.

Em chuckled " be nice now, Stardust. I dont want you to miss any meals or fun. Discipline will happen by anyone in the pack. "

" Mother.. im too old to have punishments... please dont" Star pleaded

" I cant promise anything, Star. So if you behave, no punishment will come to you... either of you" she licked her face before eyeing the meal " shall we, Hunter?"

Hunter nodded and everyone chowed down on the meal. What a shame... I couldn't convince that female to join our pack... Bianca was her name, I believe. Maybe she had cold paws and decided not to join us. Maybe in the future. Hunter remembered his time being out by himself, remembering the freedom he had before he met Daria and formed the Shadow Hearts. Being out by yourself was nice and all, but having someone to back you up is even better. He looked over at Daria, who was eating without interruption. Eventually, everyone got their fill and continued on with their plans, but Hunter had something he needed to adress with Em and her daughters. "Em? I need to speak to you, your daughters and Mikael inside the Alpha's den please." He walked over and entered the den, with those he requested coming in behind him. They sat down and he began speaking. "I am happy that your daughters are safe and healthy Em, I really am. But, there is something we have yet to address. The Shadow Hearts pack are Darkseekers, and as such we are at odds with anyone who are Lightbringers. I know that in your old pack you were neutral to the whole thing, but now that you are members in our pack you must be careful. If you run into any Lightbringers you must chase them away or fight them, for they are our enemy, no matter who they are or what they look like. If you have questions, please ask me, but as Darkseekers we are forever enemies with the Lightbringers, so you must be weary of that fact." He finished, and he knew Mikael wasn't really surprised by that speech.

" Yes Alpha. I understand" Em said looking at him. But her eldest argued.

" Hunter... " she said without using 'Alpha'. Whats so wrong with Lightbringers? I have friends-" but she was cut off by her mother and she stayed silent.

" I.. Im sorry Alpha, about my eldest. She misses her friends back home. But if you say what you trully said, then I will do my best to keep my daughters and myself away from them. I owe m life to this pack. And my daughters shall followe my example from here on out. " she held her ehad down waiting. to be excused. But only her, Mikael and Dove were excused from the den. Star was left alone with the Alpha.

" What do you want now?" she said pacing back and forth ' Im loyal to my allegiance, Hunter.. I cant disown who I am to be a dark seeker. You can do what you want to me, but im not turning into a dark seeker" she glared at him for what seemed like forever, before she held her head down in defeat.

Hunter glared at Star as she had her head down in defeat. "I understand your initial hesitancy about becoming a Darkseeker, but the Lightbringers aren't as good as the name would suggest. At the end of the day, they are still wolves, no matter what kind of moral code they hold themselves to. As long as you're in the Shadow Hearts, you will be considered a Darkseeker to the rest of the packs, so I suggest you go along with it Star. This may be a lot you were not interested in, but unfortunetly you have to live with it now. I want to protect you, your sister, and your mother, but if you continue to talk to your Lightbringer friends, that could jeopardize the safety of this pack. If the Lightbringers know where we sleep, then they could attack us when our guards are down, and as Alpha, I will not allow that to happen until my dying breath." Hunter finished, noticing that Star took in the gravity of the situation. "I won't force the ideals of the Darkseekers upon you, but it would probably be easier for you to become one anyway. That is all." Star quickly left the den and met up with Dove, who was playing with a stick, while Em and Mikael were watching her, nuzzling each other as they watched.

" I wasnt born to be a Darkseeker, mother... I should have stayed back with father" Star said sitting by them, eyes on the ground " I miss my friends."

Em stopped looking at Mikael and looekd at Star " You dont mean that, Star. Do you?" she was really worried for Star now. " You are part of this pack. so, deal with it. I miss my friends too, but we havea new life here. Plus Mikael has a liking to you. Even if he never told you. He loves you. Loves all of us. Dont do anything rash that could jepardize this packs life. "

" Yes Ma'am" was all she said before watching Dove grab the stick in her small mouth andbring it to Mikael. she loves him already and thinks him as a true father. I dont know if I will get there. But I will work on it.

" Hey mom... are you and Mikael gonna..." she stopepd before she could finish " nevermind. Its your life anyways..."

She then went to the tree across from the Alpha's den and layed down.

Em looked at Mikael " What is going through her mind? I hope she wasnt gonna ask about us having pups of our own.. because it will happen one of these years... but its too soon." she licked her face and nuzzled him before watching dove roll in the dirt.

Mikael loooked over at Star before picking up the stick that Dove brought to him. "Perhaps she was going to ask Em. And if I was in her position I would ask too, but, at the end of the day it's a decision between you and I. Maybe she'll warm up to the idea of being a Darkseeker with time, or perhaps she won't. I know that it must be hard not to hang around with her friends, but she's here now, and so are you and Dove, and I won't let anything happen to any one of you." He nuzzled Dove before nuzzling Em. Dove hopped on his back and nipped his ears before hopping off to play around with the stick she had. Michael chuckled as he watched her play. She may not be my daughter by blood, but she's my daughter nonetheless. He looked over at Star lying down beside the tree and walked over to her before lying down beside her. "I know you miss your friends, but if you were still in your old pack with Lilac, he could have continued harming you, Em and Dove. In life we have to make hard decisions, and that may mean we can no longer see our friends, but Em brought you here because she loves you and Dove and so do I." He nuzzled Star, hoping to break her out of her mood.

Star just let him nuzzle her. she knew she would have to get used to it " You really love mother, dont you?" she asked him after a long silence " I can see it in her eyes the way she looks at you." Then added " All those times shes pinned you and refused to let you up, must have really showed you who she really is. An Alpha."

Star looked up at mikael " I'll be careful around the Lightbringers, I'll try. Doesnt mean I wont hang out with them once in a while, but I'll try and not spill out where our home is."

Em then walked over and nuzzled Mikael " Honey? how about you and I go for a walk? Let the girls help out with chores today. They must learn to do things themselves. "
Then looked at Star " Stardust. I love you, I want what is best for you in this pack. You may hate they Darkseekers.. but you must learn to change your alliance and be one of them. The rules may be rougher... but the road to peace, is in your heart. You just have to open up to the ones around you, ok? I will be back before the next meal. And get those chores done."

" Yes Ma'am" Star said walking towards the Alpha den to get things done for Hunter.

Em then looked at Mikael " Ready?"

Before Star left, Mikael told her that he did love Em, and that he wanted nothing more than to protect her and her daughters. "I'm ready. Let's go love." The word rolled off his lips, and Mikael paused for a moment. Love... well I guess I can call my feelings for Em to be love. After watching Star leave, Mikael got up and walked with Em as they left home, walking through the Hearts' territory. "What's on your mind Em? Did something Star say make you pause for thought?"
