God she was nervous. She'd never done anything like this before. And once again the thought of Silas being a cop popped up. What the hell would he think tomorrow morning when he woke up? What would she think tomorrow? How did she go from wanting to punch him in the face, to meeting him in the bar, to about to sleep with him at his house?
Her eyes flutter shut for a moment as he kisses her nose, chin and the corners of her mouth. Smiling slightly as his forehead presses against hers. Her mind was going ninety to nothing and she couldn't make sense of half the thoughts moving through.
Was she sure about this? Was he sure about this?
After another moment, Rylee leans against Silas as he pulls away from the wall. Her grip with her legs tighten a bit as she shifts her hands so it was her arms wrapped around his neck. Resting her head on his shoulder. She was kind of glad she was light, made it easy on Silas when he went up the stairs.
Her grey eyes study Silas' house as he walks through the living room, it wasn't a bad house. Better than her living quarters. Which was whatever she could find. As Silas lays her down on the bed, she hesitates. It'd been a long time since she'd been in a bed. It was comfortable but also strange. Rylee smiles back up at Silas. But she was scared. Were they really going to? She felt ready but was she really ready?

He felt nervous and unsure now that they were here. Minutes apart from what could happen. Hooking up with someone wasn't always temporary and he had been clear about his actions being temporary. He didn't have time for a partner, not with work. Not that he wouldnt mind having one, it was just...complicated. He hesitates, unsure of what is next move was. He could picture the bartender urging him and pushing him toward Rylee. But he could also picture the last time he had...well since something like this happened. It had been Nancy and the night after that night, she became his ex. Oh god, he didn't think he could do it. He couldn't ruin another woman. He couldn't go through something like that again. The alcohol was wearing off and he could think more clearly. He wasn't ready. Not yet. He sighed, his attention focusing more on Rylee. She seemed really familiar but he couldn't place where. After a moment, he sat down on the bed with his back to her. "I-I am so sorry," He whispered, his posture basically deflating with humiliation. He couldn't do it. He brought her all the way here just for nothing. He would understand if she ran out of that door and he never saw her again.

She felt the modd shift, and the smile fades from her face. Seconds later Silas moves to sit down. Rylee shot up into a sitting position at once. Oh god. He didn't seem as drunk anymore. She was tense, ready to flee at any moment. She wasn't about to be arrested. No way in hell would she be tricked into coming into a cop's house and be arrested that easy. Was this all a play? Was he never drunk? Did he only do all this to get her trapped? It was a low blow. One that Rylee would be incredibly pissed about.
But something about Silas just suggested that it wasn't just a trap. Rylee's body relaxes a little. She was still hyper, no doubt from the adrenilne. She studies Silas. "It's fine." Her voice was calm and understanding. It was. She could tell when she was in the station that he and that female cop. Well, they had been a thing. Maybe something happened and what he and Rylee were about to do. Well, maybe it triggered something.
She had kind of been looking forward to it, but she was also glad. She had been way to nervous and worried about many other things. She had heard about doing it and the things you could get from it. Or even how the first time can be unpleasent. Or worse, Silas waking up in the morning and arresting her

Some of the alcohol had worn off but not enough to really matter. Just enough to make him think about Nancy and reject having sex with the woman he took home with him. God, that sounded horrible. Way more horrible. He just couldn't.. he couldn't risk another mistake like last time. He was sure he would have loved it but there was just way too much at risk. Not to mention they had both been drinking and Rylee might have regretted it. Him too. So now he was left feeling awkward and humiliated. He wasn't sure what it looked like from Rylee's point of view. He didn't dare ask. He did expect her to yell at him but he was surprised to find she didn't. That was...unusual. After all he had basically been a tease to her. He looked back at her, seeing that she was serious. She was okay with saying no. Perhaps...perhaps she had been having second thoughts too. "Er, can i get you something? Water? Coffee?" He asked after a moment. Now instead of hooking up, he had to focus on being a good house host. Wow. How could so much happen in so little time? God, she was a little pissed that all that teasing had led to nothing. But, she wasn't mad at Silas. He'd gotten scared. Perhaps something had happened to him in the past. And, Rylee really couldn't find it in her heart to be mean to him. She just couldn't. Seeing him at the bar, it had changed her views about him. Perhaps he wasn't such a bad person after all. Of course he was drunk.... But she had heard somewhere that people were at their truest when they were drunk.
"Oh. I suppose just water please."
She really didn't want much. Maybe a snack, but she didn't want to push it. It did startle her how quickly everything had changed. In seconds they'd gone from about to do it to Silas asking if she wanted some water.
(Sorry this is short. Little rushed, little brain dead, and a little motivation. XD)

Tonight had been different, that's for sure. He couldn't imagine how they went from making out to this but then he knew exactly how. It had been him. Of course it was his fault. He ruined relationships, every single one. So instead of apologizing again, he was offering her a drink. Not the kind they had been drinking either. Just a normal drink. A glass of water. This was definitely not how he planned his night going. He felt bad but knew he would feel worse if he had gone all the way there with Rylee. He could have enjoyed it, yes, but there was a lot of things that could have gone wrong. He stood up and paused, glancing at her. They had been close, very close. But still it was nothing. He couldn't help but lean and press a kiss on her cheek. An apology kiss,"Maybe some other time." Those four words suggested something other than temporary and he instantly regretted it. Although, he knew tons of people who had multiple temporaries. "Wait here, I'll be back," He promised, slipping out the door. He didn't even bother to slip the lights on, he knew every inch of house. Plus he didn't want to look his reflection on anything. He couldn't bare seeing what type of emotion he was wearing on his face.

Rylee's mind was still going ninety to nothing. New emotions were being thrown in, new thoughts. They'd been close, but then... nothing. Did she really want it to continue? She couldn't figure out how she really felt about the situation. She was relieved, disappointed, worried, nervous, and probably a few other emotions. It felt like her emotions were moving through her quickly. Though she managed to keep a calm outter expression.
Her eyes follow Silas as he gets up, not moving when he stooped to press a kiss to her cheek. And the he uttered four words. Maybe some other time. Rylee highly doubted that would happen. That also suggested something not so temporary, and Rylee wasn't sure she wasn't looking for anything permeant. How could she? She was a criminal. Homeless and living off whatever she could find. How could she make a life with someone?
She simply nods at his next words, watching as he walks out of the room. Rylee pulls her knees up to her chest as her gaze moves around the room. Sort of seeing it, but also still deep in her thoughts. What if Silas came back sober? He never seemed too drunk and what if he was one of those who got sober really fast? What in the hell would he think when he saw her?

There was a lot of things on his mind but as he poured the water, he couldn't help but feel guilty. Like he had wronged Kylee by not continuing. There was something pressing against his mind about how he should have continued. After all, he shouldn't let what happened to Nancy effect future relationships. But he also knew that most of the events tonight had been alcohol influenced. He had been heavily drunk and now not so much. Well he was definitely still drunk. His pupils were dialated, his perception was off, and he still smelt like booze. He poured two glasses of water and cleaned up the mess he made from again, his perception being off. He couldn't see all too straight and he was working from the oven light. He headed back to the room and knocked before entering. He gave a small shy smile toward her, studying her face. Damn, she looked so familiar. He just couldn't remember where he had seen her face. "Hi." He handed the water to her, this time sitting in his desk chair. His desk was unused mostly. There were a few old files from former clients, and a laptop that had an inch of dust on it. It had also been awhile since he slept in his room. Everything was neat and tidy. "I um have spare clothes if you would like to change," He glanced down at her outfit. It did fit her well and look stunning. It definitely shown off her beauty,"If you would like that is." He said that statement twice but didn't seem to notice.

Rylee sits there, staring at the wall with her head resting on her knees. It was so tempting to fall asleep. Even though she'd trained herself to sleep light and very little. This bed was the most comfortable thing she'd been on in a long time. It was hard not to fall back and sleep on the soft bed instead of a half broken couch or hard cold floor.
What was taking Silas so long? Was he calling back up? Was this a trap? Or did he pass out? Was he okay? She was about to get up and go find him. She still couldn't decide if all of this was a bad idea or not.
And then she hears a knock on the doorframe. Her eyes flash up as Silas enters. She smiles back, though a part of her wanted to duck her head. He looked a lot more attentive, the drunk was wearing off. If he recognized her now... Well, she was screwed
"Hey. Thank you." Her hands close around the water, taking a small sip. Then remember, and realizing, that the water was fresh and clean, she suddenly drinks faster. It tasted so good! Of course the idea that the drink had been messed with had crossed her mind. But the water tasted so good, she was willing to risk it.
She stops, the glass half full and blinks at him. "Thanks for the offer. But no thanks." She wanted to shy away from his eyes, she felt odd to be looked at. Especially by someone she'd almost slept with.

He wasn't that used to drinking. Back in the day, he used to drink a lot so he had a bit of tolerance. Some of that had faded with age. Even though, in reality Silas wasn't that old. The job made him feel older, it sucked all of him out. He did love it though, for the most part. He did miss out on a lot of things normal people in their 20s did. Like what they almost did tonight. His intuitive gaze remained on her, finding humor in how fast she had drunk her water. She had been drinking too, just not as much. It was important to keep hydrated while playing with adult drinks. He took a sip of his water, looking away quickly when her gaze caught his. He knew he had been caught studying her. She was very pretty but he couldn't shake the thought that they had met before. She just seemed so familiar, her name too. He adjusted his sitting position, crossing both legs in the desk chair. He studied the water, trying to think of something to say, anything. He didn't know what to do. It was a little awkward between them, for different ways than what tonight had started to be. "So um," He cleared his throat,"How old are you?" God, he was about to sleep with somebody that he didn't even know their age. Of course, Rylee looked about his age. They could have been in the same class and graduated high school together for all he knew. That could be why she looked familiar. It was bothering him a little that he couldn't place it. But he knew her, from somewhere other than the bar. He was sure of it.
