Isadora giggled quietly at how explained the terrors of the eastern territories. She couldn't blame him for wincing at the thought. As she continued studying him while she ate, she hadn't missed the way his gaze seemed to soften. It made her heart flutter a little bit, but she quickly stomped those feelings out as she looked down. "Hopefully so. If they stopped for the wedding, I really don't see why they wouldn't work with us." She hummed thoughtfully, sitting back as she'd had enough to eat. "I'm just ready to finally get some answers y'know? Get the trip over with and all," she sighed looking out the window again. It shouldn't be long before they heard back about the escort either, hopefully.

Xevon grinned back, just a lopsided and loose grin. It was the habitual response from the prince whenever he heard that light laugh or anything that resembled a laugh in response to something he had said. That was something that felt natural, light, loose. But even still, he finally stood up from the table. "I agree," Xevon swept the tray into his hands again. "The answers will be absolutely a blessing and hopefully... something far more than just... a somewhat distant noise in the horizon, y'know?" He swept toward the kitchens once again, intending to hand the tray back to its rightful place and owner. "Hopefully they'll have figured out something too," he gestured to the distant room with his grandfather and her father.

Isadora smiled to herself, admiring the way he grinned that loose, relaxed grin at her. Seeing that, something so natural, was something she could get used to.
Isadora rose to a stand as Xevon had, preparing to follow wherever he went. "A blessing is right," she sighed, starting towards the kitchens at his side. "No matter what happens, at least it can be said that we tried," she hummed, her gaze trained on the hall before her.
Isadora shook her head as he mentioned the two old men. "One could hope. There's just so much left uncertain right now," she replied, finally looking up at the man beside her.

Xevon tipped his head. At least they tried that was the important part. Effort meant at least something. He figured. Eh, whatever. It probably wasn't going to be too bad, he hoped. Hope was also a good thing. He shook his head lightly and exhaled. "I mean, yeah, there is a lot of uncertainty," he confirmed with a loose shrug. "But at the same time, it just allows us to focus on something to work towards." The young man offered his arm once again, out of habit, as he continued walking. "Morale usually runs higher when you have a goal you're working towards. For us? That's going to be getting diplomatic answers and even, possibly, working towards a treaty."

Isadora dwelled on his words, trying to take them to heart. After all, he knew much more about how these types of things went then she did. He had a very good point and she was starting to wonder why she didn't pay more attention to him before. Eh, who knew.
Isadora took the arm he'd offered her, this time her touch more gentle, her hand resting against his arm. "I see. That doesn't sound very bad at all," she hummed, her gaze darting away for a moment before returning. "I suppose I'll just have to work extra hard to keep my spirits high," she mused, knowing that her mood could by far darken those around her if it was bad enough. Right now, however, she needed hope. Hope that things would end up being perfectly fine.

Xevon snorted and shook his head. "Ah, don't push yourself too hard. The more you push it, the less it takes hold. You have to be gentle with yourself, just like you would with a friend," he replied with a gentle tone. "The more you push yourself, the harder it becomes to actually step forward." He tutted and shook his head. "But hey, what do I know? I've just got a pretty face, large chest and a title," that was what he was used to talking about. Xevon had a tendency to pick up little tidbits, gathered along the way, and to help himself cover his own ... skeletons.

Isadora laughed, her voice filling the halls with a light hearted aura. "Give yourself a little more credit. You are more than just a pretty face and all that," she smirked, devilish thoughts playing in her mind. "You're about as charming as they come too," she said, a dramatic tone to her voice as she pretended to swoon.
On the inside, Isadora was actually a silly, playful woman. It just took a lot for her to get comfortable enough to let it show. Xevon was only getting sneak peaks then, but it would be worth it if she could see him squirm a little. She knew how easily he could get under her skin, but a part of her was curious to see what it would take to make someone so composed feel the heat.

"Ahh, ha," Xevon's voice was rather dry at her remarks. Though the edge of a smile touched his lips, it seemed... odd. As if it was merely a habitual response to the words rather than a genuine reaction but it seemed, at the same time, too... good to be a mere response. "Heaven forbid you crack the shell," he teased in return, finally drawing away from the response. "Don't you know I have a reputation to uphold," he sniffed theatrically. Xevon bumped his hip against hers, tutting slowly. "Can't have you taking over my reputation, Y'know. I've always been told I have the prettiest face in all the kingdom," he flashed her a slyl grin. "Of course, someone just has to come in and threaten that..."

Isadora hummed as he mentioned cracking the shell so to speak. "Oh yes, but I strive to ruin that reputation in the best way possible," she joked, the tone evident in her voice. She was just having good fun, trying to take her mind off the stress of things considering all the things they'd went through recently.
Isadora squealed softly, her other hand instictively holding onto his arm lightly as she steadied herself, a playful glare being thrown his way. "Only threaten? I'd say completely stole that title," she teased, this time bumping her hip against his. On the inside, she could feel herself wanting to blush, wondering if he truly meant what he said. They were joking and having good fun, but she couldn't get over the thought of him possibly finding her pretty.

Xevon grinned back at her, enjoying that squeal for just a few moments before straightening his shoulders. "Mmh, I don't know about that. You're a competitor at least," he teased in return, one hand fluffing his dark hair up. "Can't beat this face easily, y'know." His hazel eyes flicked to the door, stretching his hand out to push it open. "And, we are back," he said theatrically, his eyes glittering with some sly delight. "Well fed, quick to think and now we can all discuss everything together. It's best to catch up on what has happened on each kingdom, so that everyone is on the same page and we can all make informed decisions together."
