Emelote watches the Mask falter, and a twinge of sympathy shot through her. She did feel bad when she blinded people permanently, but that Mask had deserved it. Emelote watches as the Mask hesitates, and for a second she really believed that he would lunge again. However the Mask simply sighs and speaks. Emelote lifts her chin,"I'm sure it will." Emelote's eyes fade back to blue,"But I will not live behind bars." Emelote's gaze was fierce,"I rather die free, then live in bondage." Her gaze tracks the Mask as he walks away. Emelote did not relax, however she was not completely on edge. Emelote calls out,"You know, I can undo the blindness." What was she saying? Well, she could undo the blindness that she had cast upon the Mask. But why would she?

Joshua stopped when Emelote said that she could reverse the blindness. "You can...?" He turned around and looked at her with a genuine look of surprise on his face. "What would it take to restore his sight?" He asked sincerly. Sure he didn't really know the blinded Mask, but he was able to restore his sight, then it would absolutely be worth it. Suddenly he felt really guilty about badmouthing her and using Ryan to dig under her skin; now he was expecting the price of restored sight costing much more now with what he said.

Emelote blinks, watching as the Mask turns around,"Of course. What can be done, can be undone." Emelote sighs,"Well, most things." Emelote hesitates at his question, what would it take? She felt bad for the Mask she had blinded, even if he had deserved it. Emelote's jaw tightens,"Bring him here tomorrow night, midnight. Just you two, and I will fix his sight." Emelote warns,"If you bring anyone else, I will not restore his sight and you will find yourself blind as well." Her words though harsh, spoke trueness. She would restore the Mask's vision if her boundaries were obeyed.

"I promise it will just be the two of us." Joshua responded, taking off and leaving the conversation. How am I going to explain all of this to the captain? "Oh I cut a deal with a wanted thief and was able to restore his sight..." Yeah that'll go down REAL well. I'll figure it out in due time. He quietly walked through the streets, his head down and not wanting to attract any more attention. There was going to have to be some favors asked to get the Mask's sight back, but Joshua knew it was worth it.

Emelote nods,"Good." Then without another word, she turned and head off. Slipping in and out of the shadows just in case the Mask had decided to follow her. It didn't take long and soon she was back at the hideout. The fire was low, and everyone was asleep. Emelote smiles slightly as she settles down beside Anivia who had apparently decided to keep watch. Emelote murmurs,"Hey girl." Anivia lets out a quiet screech, as she leans against Emelote's hand. The thief sighs as she stares into the dying embers of the fire. If that deal went wrong, she could end up behind bars. Not that it worried her, there were shadows in jail. With enough luck, she'll slip right out.

Joshua felt nothing but dread lying in his mind as he walked to his home. This wasn't going to be easy, but he sure was going to try to get the Mask's sight back. With a groan he slipped into bed, knowing it was too late to ask around for favors. It was going to be a difficult balancing act, but he knew he had to get the job done. (Want to time skip to the meet up? And if you could set the scene up that would be great.)

(Sure)
Emelote paces in the shadows, she had gone home and fallen asleep. Then that day the five of them had scavenged for anything that could help them. Anivia had gone hunting again as well. The day had gone quickly as had the night and so she had slipped out. She was now in the same area she had met the Mask before. But this time hidden in the shadows, when and only when she confirmed that it was only the two of them. Then she would finally reveal herself. But, like she had promised. If there were more the two, every Mask to enter the clearing would be blinded. Permanently.

It took the majority of the day, several favors and more Masks being held to secrecy, Joshua had the blinded Mask at the spot, outfit off in case someone walked by and noticed. The last thing he need was for a Mask seen conspiring with a thief, otherwise all of those favors would go right out the door. He carefully guided the blinded fellow before stopping him and stepping forward, looking at the shadows to try to see if the girl was there. He didn't want to call out, and risk having her slink away or have someone hear him, so he stood silent.

Emelote stiffens as the blind Mask and the one from before. Which she had gone on to nickname White Mask for his new and special mask. Emelote's gaze skitters around the clearing, they seemed alone. So with a deep breath, she steels herself and steps out of the shadows. Even if there were more Masks, there were enough shadows. Emelote didn't feel that worried... At least about that, she didn't like what she was doing. Why did she offer to fix the blind Mask's vision? He had deserved it.

Joshua takes a look at Emelote as she stepped out of the shadows and towards them. "No one else is here... just the two of us, as agreed to." The blind Mask instictively turned towards Joshua, but ends up talking past him. "You're brokering a deal with them! Do you know what happens if..." Joshua hits him with an elbow to the ribs to quiet him. "Shut up and don't say a word about this. You're getting your eyesight back...' Looks at her. "Right?"
